Digital Economy and High-Quality Industrial Development

In the 14th Five-Year Plan period(2021-2025),China has vowed to pursue high-quality industrial development.The digital economy drives high-quality industrial development by creating means of production,reducing transaction costs,transforming industrial organization,and improving the efficiency of resource allocation.The digital factor has become a key factor of production for high-quality development.Digital and user-created innovations are the new normal for cross-sectoral integration and innovation.Great progress has been made in China'high-quality industrial development driven by the digital economy.The rapid development of digital industries and industrial digitalization have reshaped the industrial division of labor and helped the ascension of related industries towards the medium-and high-end links of the global value chains.However,China still faces numerous challenges in the development of its digital economy;it lacks indigenous industrial innovation,depends on foreign supply of core technologies,and is ill-prepared for industrial digitalization.Much work remains to be done to further coordinate the development of some industries and foster digital ecosystems for the symbiosis of industrial chains.In furthering the high-quality industrial development driven by the digital economy,China should stay at the forefront of digital innovation,promote digital governance,enhance data factor agglomeration,and foster digital talents.

RELATIVITY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

From the realism of science, and taking the guide of EINSTEIN’s Relativity as guide, this article called in question the present theory of the sustainable development by the rational thinking of philosophy and a close logic inference. It is found that there are many paradoxes to the theory. Through more deepening and meticulous inference, we arrived at philosophic language of science about the sustainable development. The sustainable development is "non-sustainable development", and the non-sustainable development is "the best sustainable development". While carrying out philosophical principle thinking and repeating science demonstration for the sustainable development, this article got further confirmation that the existence of human being at the minimum environment cost may help them obtain motive power of the sustainable development. In fact, this foundation motive power exists in the flow of development in different organization levels, meanwhile it exists in strategy of intuition living of the ancient people. Only in relative lower environment cost to live can we get the support system of science for the sustainable development, and be able really to achieve the basic goal of the sustainable development.

A Feminist Analysis of Protagonists＇ Self-development in O Pioneers： and My Antonia

This paper focuses on pioneer women＇s development of the self from the perspective of feminism in 0 Pioneerst. （1913） and My A ntonia （1994）. As rigid social connections and concepts restrict women＇s autonomy and freedom, they must transform themselves and the world in order to survive. In order to analyze pioneer women＇s process of self-growth in the special period, the author of this paper compares and contrasts the specific situation, and analyzes the characteristics of the protagonists in the above two novels. Through analysis, the authuor concludes that pioneer women always create a nurturing and gracious atmosphere in their household. Practically, these women successfully transmit the old civilization to the newly established homestead.

Development of Elementary School Teachers＇ Self-Regulated Learning Exploratory Factor Scale

Self-regulated learning （SRL） is one of the precious ways in teachers＇ professional development, and its operation level includes different factors. With studies abroad and our preliminary investigation as base, this study developed a scale to test the factors SRL includes. According to the result of 905 teachers working in elementary school by exploratory factor analysis, the SRL for elementary teachers is consisted of its sociality （it included selecting leads and seeking for instructing）, its motivation（it included self-improvement and self-excelling）, its methods（it included strategy use and habitual behavior）, and its outcomes（it included extensive reading and teachers＇ professional development）. All the result indicated Teachers＇ SRL Scale had clear factor structure, good reliability and validity. It can be used to test the current operating situation of SRL for teachers working in elementary school.

Women, Conflict and Politics： Assessing Margaret Ekpo＇s Approach to Political Emancipation and Liberation in Nigeria

For generations, the potential of Nigerian women to contribute effectively to national development seems to be suppressed by many factors which cut across religious, environmental and cultural constraints. Consequently, women have strongly resolved to renegotiate their relevance through the adoption and utilization of various initiatives. At the forefront, one of these initiatives early in time was Margaret Ekpo （1914-2006）, a Nigerian female political activist who unilaterally began radical movements in parts of Nigeria to transform the political consciousness of the Nigerian women, and to reverse gender-related inequalities in the country. This paper sets out to evaluate her approaches to what could be described as political re-engineering. It develops a framework drawing from theories of conflict resolution and the principles of liberalism and feminism. Findings show that despite of the limited formal education and political ideologies to which she was exposed to, she was able to rise above the prevailing challenges of her time to build a firm pedestal upon which many women politicians in Nigeria have stood to launch themselves to political limelight. The study concludes that the principles of liberalism and a desire to foster the political development of Nigeria account for Margaret Ekpo＇s venture into the political field.

New Changes in the International Situation and China＇ s Strategic Choices

The international situation is evolving more impressively than it has at any time since the end of the Cold War. Globalization has been in decline. Nations are scrambling to gain greater influence. The intemational strategic pattern is being adjusted. Many countries have problems with public management, and are faced with a new array of social trends and increasingly popular movements. The world is entering a new era full of chaos and anxiety. Mankind once again faces significant trade-offs and choices in peace and conflict, development and recession, openness and isolation, liberalism and conservatism. China strives to advocate win-win cooperation and lead the trend of reform and opening to maintain a favorable external environment despite world chaos, and enhance status and institutional fights in the international system. China＇s 30 years of development was successful in the process of integrating into the existing international system; China is a participant as well as a builder of the international system, rather than a challenger or a subversive. In the future, with a constructive attitude, China will promote the international system in a more reasonable direction together with international partners, in order to better safeguard world peace and security, and promote sustainable development throughout the world.

Financial crisis and sustainable development of Chinese manufacturing industry

Sub-prime lending crisis has become an international fi nancial crisis, which is evolving into an economic recession sweeping across the West. Financial crisis leads to the demand reduction in western countries, and as the largest manufacturing country, China must face overproduction. The role of China as "world factory" determines that fi nancial crisis will severely attack Chinese manufacturing industry. The unsustainable development of Chinese manufacturing industry is mainly reflected in the following aspects: heavy dependence on export, low-level manufacturing link, lack of modern service industry and high-tech industry, weak independent innovative ability, unsustainable exploration of heavy-pollution resources, and lack of international famous brands. How to transform crisis to opportunities is an urgent research topic. Under the circumstance of financial crisis, Chinese manufacturing industry has more external drives to change the current situation. Therefore, financial crisis becomes not only an opportunity for Chinese manufacturing industry to improve itself based on the existing accumulation but also a chance for China to transform from "world factory" into a powerful nation of manufacturing industry in the world.

Social Causes of Arab Youth Radicalizing

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of macro social factors （states, religion, region, Arab spring, terrorism, unrest （Shoe index）, democracy, corruption （GPI）, Human development （HDI）, low self-control, life stress events （LSE）, youth unemployment, religiosity, feeling （fear and anger）, youth unemployment and total unemployment） on Arab youth＇s radicalization. A sample of 6,730 Arab youth age 15-24 years was selected from Kuwait, UAE, KSA, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt, Gaza and Palestine and Syrian refuges in Jordan. A questionnaire of 43 items to measure radicalization was developed based on the literature review. A construct validity of the scale was estimated by calculating the correlation between radicalization scale and Low self-control scale and found a positive significant relationship （0.680, a = 0.000）, a sign of validity of the scale. A Reliability of the scale is strong and was estimated by Cronbach＇s alpha and was 0.947. An average of 46.6% of the participants was categorized as radicals with standard deviation of 12. Macro social factors explained 64% of the variance on radicalization. It has a significant impact on radicalization （F = 807.6, a = 0.000）. Each single variable has a significant impact. The analysis revealed three groups of macro determinants of youth radicalization were identified： （1） Geographic factors： state, region, and Arab spring; （2） Social factors： religion, religiously, feelings, LSE and LSC; （3） Human security： unrest, terrorism, democracy, corruption, human development, youth unemployment and employment rate. To alleviate the consequences of radicalization, prevention policies should take in account youth concerns as partners and victims of radicalization. Policies need to focus on radicalization pull and push factors on micro-meso-macro level.

Immigration and Liberal Egalitarianism

My principal objective in this paper is to examine what position liberal egalitarians should take regarding the issue of immigration. Given that liberal egalitarians grant central importance to individual autonomy and the moral equality of all persons, their rejection of restrictive immigration policies appears to follow from these central normative commitments. Liberal egalitarians such as Joseph Carens and Phillip Cole have argued that those who are committed to individual autonomy and moral equality should advocate for an open borders position in immigration. I argue that it is a serious mistake for liberal egalitarians to advocate open national borders and that borders should instead be strategically regulated to reduce global economic inequalities through immigration policies systematically integrated into development programs for the poorest and most vulnerable countries. Open borders would create an open market for immigration slots to choice countries of destination, which out of practical necessity would have to delimit the number of new immigrants. It is well known in migration studies that those who are more educated, young, and have more resources are more likely to migrate than the very young, the elderly, the infirm, and the poorest individuals. Those left behind in developing countries suffer serious negative consequences from the emigration of the most highly educated, capable, and talented individuals in their society. I then argue that liberal egalitarians should grant particular moral consideration to the world＇s poorest and most vulnerable and that immigration policies strategically designed to prioritize their needs are actually more consistent with the dual commitments of individual autonomy and moral equality than an open borders position. I propose three principles of global justice that are consistent with liberal egalitarianism that should guide transnational moral obligations. I end the paper by arguing that two of these principles can be used to justify restricted immigration policies that would enable developed countries to partially discharge some of their moral obligations to developing countries while enhancing the autonomy of the world＇s most vulnerable people.

An Approach to the Development of Resilient City from the City Governance

The climate change brought disaster impact to a city. Cities are complex and interdependent systems, extremely vulnerable to threats from both natural hazards and terrorism. A city resilience is the capacity of a city to function, so that citizens survive and thrive no matter what stresses or shocks they encounter. The cities need to be built for greater resilience and developed strategies for coping with the future shocks and stresses associated with climate change. This study explores that, from the concepts of city governance, the balanced scorecard correlates with city development in the process of city resilience development and constructs city resilience indicators to evaluate and the balanced scorecard raise the management performance. During the process of building the balanced scorecard, each problem can be faced and solved. To run the balanced scorecard is a continuous job and to become a resilient city coping with good city governance must adjust the balanced scorecard to meet its goals and vision to achieve sustainable development of the city.

Heading for Dialogue Teaching： On Strategies of Constructing Ideal Discourse Environment

As one of the directions of the college classroom teaching reform, constructing dialogue teaching should be the trend to cultivate students＇ deep thinking ability. This paper, based on the analysis of the teaching dialogue objective and textual environment, recognizes that promoting the students deep thinking should be the fundamental goal of teaching dialogue and constructing an ideal textual environment is the premise of teaching dialogue. The study taking ＂Market Survey and Forecast＂ course for the pilot, makes exploration based on ＂flipped classroom＂ in the full use of network learning platform. The analysis of differences in teaching dialogue among students with different academic achievement, as well as the analysis of factors on students involved in teaching dialogue behavior show that in the construction of the textual environment, the cultivation of students＇ autonomic learning ability is the foundation of dialogue teaching, the enhancement of students＇ cooperative learning ability is the core of dialogue teaching, and the establishment of the community of classroom learning is the main line of dialogue teaching.

The Some New Aspects of the International Business Theory and International Economy

Different positions of the member states of the World Trade Organization （WTO）, especially the developed and developing countries and also the United States of America （USA）, the European Union （EU）, and Japan representatives, were observed during the Doha Round of trade negotiations under the WTO. The problems of agriculture protection in the developed countries, for example in the EU and USA and also in the developing countries, were becoming serious obstacles during the negotiations. Despite the undeniable benefits of the multilateral WTO forum for trade liberalization, the rapid increase of North-South bilateral and multilateral free trade areas （FTAs） begs a systematic explanation for why some forums are prioritized relative to others. The main aim of the article is the presentation of some new aspects of the international business theory in the context of international economy. The article presents the mercantilist tendencies in the international trade policy, the theory of public choice in the foreign trade policy, protectionist pressures in different political systems, the level of protectionist pressures, food producers＇ pressure, and conflicts between the tendencies to sustainable international trade liberalization and environmental protection.

The Modem Reading on Thought of Marxist Ecological Civilization in 〈The Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts in 1844〉

In〈The economic and philosophical manuscripts in 1844〉 （be called manuscripts for short）, Marx deeply criticized alienation of relationship between human and nature by alienated labor concept. The criticism pointed out the way for the solution of the ecological problems and showed the seeds of ecological civilization. The paper reveals the ontology about ecological civilization and generation and elimination of crisis through analyzing the Marxist thought of ecological civilization in manuscripts. The paper believes that Marxist thought of ecological civilization may enlighten us to carry forward and develop it with guidance, sense and theory. We sincerely expect that the thought of ecological civilization will be rooted in the hearts of the people deeply by means of the rise of ＂green＂ concept and the education of ecological ethics. The paper has important theoretical and practical value on deeply understanding the relationship between human and nature with scientific development angle of view, conquering the ecological crisis of globalization scientifically and building and developing ecological civilization of Chinese characteristic socialism energetically.
