The hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is a promising way to produce hydrogen,and the use of non-precious metals with an excellent electrochemical performance is vital for this.Carbon-based transition metal catalysts have high activity and stability,which are important in reducing the cost of hydrogen production and promoting the development of the hydrogen production industry.However,there is a lack of discussion regarding the effect of carbon components on the performance of these electrocatalysts.This review of the literature discusses the choice of the carbon components in these catalysts and their impact on catalytic performance,including electronic structure control by heteroatom doping,morphology adjustment,and the influence of self-supporting materials.It not only analyzes the progress in HER,but also provides guidance for synthesizing high-performance carbon-based transition metal catalysts. 展开更多

In order to design an excellent convertor one must be guided by theory of automatic control. The principle and the method of design, modeling and control for DC DC convertors of EV are introduced. The method of the system response to a unit step function input and the frequency response method are applied to researching the convertor's mathematics model and control characteristic. A novel method for automatic ultra-precision alignment is presented.This method relies on the modified Moiré technique,and alignment marks are used in the form of gratings.The modified Moiré technique can effectively improve detecting sensitivity of signals and simplify the control system by using only one pair of laser-Moiré sensors.We present the mathematical model and simulation results of diffracting two gratings.The effect of various parameters on Moiré signals is studied theoretically and experimentally,and the results are found to be consistent.A computer controlled alignment device using one pair of Moiré sensors is designed.The device can achieve a fully automatic precision alignment by the modified Moiré signal.The experimental result shows that the alignment device can obtain the resolution of 5 nm and the positioning accuracy of ±0 5 μm. 展开更多

Robust stabilization for a class of nonlinear uncertain neutral system with time-varying delay is investigated. By applying the Lyapunov stability theorem, an adaptive sliding mode controller (ADSMC) is developed.Based on the sliding mode control technique, the controller can drive the system into a pre-specified sliding hyperplane to obtain the desired dynamic performance. Once the system dynamics reaches the sliding plane, the control system is insensitive to uncertainty. The adaptive technique can overcome the unknown upper bound of uncertainty so that the reaching condition can be satisfied. Furthermore, the controller does not include any delayed state,so such an ADSMC is memoryless. Finally, a numerical example is given to verify the validity of the developed memoryless ADSMC and the globally asymptotic stability is guaranteed for the control scheme. 展开更多

The fattening pig house with fermentation bed had an area of 2 100 m2, and the area of fermentation bed was 1 900 m2 with a utilization rate of 91.4%, which was 45% higher than that of conventional pig house with surrounding barrier. There was feeding trough around the house. The water troughs were set in the middle of the fermentation bed and of the feeding trough on the short sides of the house, separating feed and water. There were electric aluminum alloy shutters in both long sides of the house for ventilation, cooling and heat preservation. On both short sides, there were fans and wet curtains. The spray cooling devices were in- stalled outside the roof for cooling. The environmental control in the piggery, includ- ing light, temperature, water, humidity, carbon dioxide and ammonia, was realized to run by computer automatically. The coconut chaff and chaff configuration were used as mattress material, realizing the advantages of fermentation bed, such as no smell, zero emission, high-quality meat, saving labor, controlling disease, no drug residue, producing fertilizer, intelligent control, mechanized operation, etc. 展开更多

A novel nonlinear adaptive control method is presented for a near-space hypersonic vehicle (NHV) in the presence of strong uncertainties and disturbances. The control law consists of the optimal generalized predictive controller (OGPC) and the functional link network (FLN) direct adaptive law. OGPC is a continuous-time nonlinear predictive control law. The FLN adaptive law is used to offset the unknown uncertainties and disturbances in a flight through the online learning. The learning process does not need any offline training phase. The stability analyses of the NHV close-loop system are provided and it is proved that the system error and the weight learning error are uniformly ultimately hounded. Simulation results show the satisfactory performance of the con- troller for the attitude tracking. 展开更多

Because actuator satu ration can become a problem or even a disaster in flight control system, the con sideration of actuator saturation in the design phase may indeed reduce the degr ee of conservativeness of an flight control system (FCS) and thus noticeably enh ance the performance of the FCS. Deflection limits and rate limits are both cons idered in a new adaptive backstepping FCS design process. The key of the method is that a new control Lyapunov function (CLF) and a control law are chosen when the actuator saturation occurs. This idea results from that there must be a vari ation in the pseudo-control at saturation. The whole progress is a modification of an early presented method: adaptive backstepping control scheme. The stabili ty is proved and verified successfully. The conclusion and some comments about t his method are given in the end. 展开更多

In order to design a suitable controller which can achieve accurate trajectory tracking and a good control performance, and guarantee the stability and robustness of a robot system due to external disturbances error and internal parameter variations, an adaptive switching control strategy is proposed. The proposed scheme is designed under the condition of bounded distances and consists of an adaptive switching law and a PD controller. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, it is proved that the proposed scheme can guarantee the tracking performance of the robotic manipulator and is adapted to varying unknown loads. Simulations are carded out on a two-link robotic manipulator, which illustrate the feasibility and validity of the proposed control scheme and the robustness for variational payloads. 展开更多

A robust adaptive control approach is presented to improve the performance of the control scheme proposed in the authors' previous work, aiming at producing a low ripple hybrid stepping motor servo drive for precision profile tracking at a low speed. In order to construct a completely integrated control design philosophy to reduce torque ripple and at the same time to enhance tracking performance, the properties of nonlinear uncertainties in the system dynamics are uncovered, and then incorporated into the design of the controller. The system uncertainties concerned with ripple dynamics and other external disturbances are composed of two categories. The first category of uncertainties with linear parameterization arising from the detention effect is dealt with by the wellknown adaptive control method. A robust adaptive method is used to deal with the second category of uncertainties resulting from the non-sinusoidal flux distribution. The μ-modification scheme is used to cease parameter adaptation by the robust adaptive control law, thus ensuring that the trajectory tracking error asymptotically converges to a pre-specified boundary. Experiments are performed with a typical hybrid stepping motor to test its profile tracking accuracy. Results confirm the proposed control scheme. 展开更多

We report a low power ASK IF receiver for short-range wireless systems,which includes an AGC loop that compensates the channel attenuation and an ASK detector. A novel current-limited transconductor and feed-forward differential peak detector have been designed to maintain a high compression ratio and fast response for the AGC with lower power consumption. A storage unit with a zero and a feed-forward structure have been introduced into the peak detector to control the damping characteristic of the AGC loop. A rectifier and low-pass filter included in the ASK detector have been integrated into a more compact structure to further lower the power consumption. In order to effectively control the working state of the gyroscope in drive mode, the drive characteristics of the micro electromechanical system (MEMS) gyroscope are analyzed in principle. A novel drive circuit for the MEMS gyroscope in digital closed-loop control is proposed, which utilizes a digital phase-locked loop (PLL) in frequency control and an automatic gain control (AGC) method in amplitude control. A digital processing circuit with a field programmable gate array (FPGA) is designed and the experiments are carried out. The results indicate that when the temperature changes, the drive frequency can automatically track the resonant frequency of gyroscope in drive mode and that of the oscillating amplitude holds at a set value. And at room temperature, the relative deviation of the drive frequency is 0.624 ×10^-6 and the oscillating amplitude is 8.0 ×10^-6, which are 0. 094% and 18. 39% of the analog control program, respectively. Therefore, the control solution of the digital PLL in frequency and the AGC in amplitude is feasible. 展开更多

The impact of the adaptive cruise control( ACC)system on improving fuel efficiency is evaluated based on the vehicle-specific power. The intelligent driver model was first modified to simulate the ACC system and it was calibrated by using empirical traffic data. Then, a five-step procedure based on the vehicle-specific power was introduced to calculate fuel efficiency. Five scenarios with different ACC ratios were tested in simulation experiments, and sensitivity analyses of two key ACC factors affecting the perception-reaction time and time headway were also conducted. The simulation results indicate that all the scenarios with ACC vehicles have positive impacts on reducing fuel consumption. Furthermore, from the perspective of fuel efficiency, the extremely small value of the perception-reaction time of the ACC system is not necessary due to the fact that the value of 0.5 and 0.1 s can almost lead to the same reduction in fuel consumption. Finally, the designed time headway of the ACC system is also proposed to be large enough for fuel efficiency, although its small value can increase capacity. The findings of this study provide useful information for connected vehicles and autonomous vehicle manufacturers to improve fuel efficiency on roadways. 展开更多
