从“言语-行动”的视角来看,王安石变法期间,变法派与反变法派把“天”、“公”、祖宗之法和先王之政等观念当作了政争的理论武器。反变法派借助灾异谴告说,要求废除与修改新法;变法派不仅认为灾害、天象与变法之间不存在联系,而且使用... 从“言语-行动”的视角来看,王安石变法期间,变法派与反变法派把“天”、“公”、祖宗之法和先王之政等观念当作了政争的理论武器。反变法派借助灾异谴告说,要求废除与修改新法;变法派不仅认为灾害、天象与变法之间不存在联系,而且使用灾异谴告说回击反变法派。两派士大夫利用朝廷之公与天下之公的观念推动或反对变法,展开了围绕公论的争夺。反变法派通过推崇祖宗之法表示对变法的反对,而变法派诉诸先王之政论证了变法的合理性;他们分别察觉到了对方的意图,从其援引的祖宗之法和先王之政中引申出了相反的诉求。两派士大夫出于政治斗争的需要,灵活地阐发“天”、“公”、祖宗之法和先王之政等观念,使之表现出实用化与功利化的倾向。这种把精神活动与政治实践相结合的做法加剧了变法派与反变法派斗争的烈度。 展开更多

This research seeks to contribute to translation studies by examining the illocutionary force of the speech act theory. It identifies two senses of illocutionary force: The active function of language is defined as lFl and the varying degrees of the strength of the speech act are defined as IF2. The implications of the two senses ofillocutionary force for translation studies are discussed in a case study of the translation of directives in Chinese versions of Shakespeare's play, The Merry Wives of Windsor. Translation shifts in transferring IF2, as manifested in pragmatic duality features of directness/indirectness, tone articles, repetition of verbs, action measure verbs, upgrader ",给我" and honorific addressing terms and vocatives are discussed. The notion's potential as a criterion to evaluate translation quality is also explored. 展开更多

This article has made a tentative study of the practical use of Action Research and some problems teachers confront in using it. This article is also concerned with some solutions to the problems teachers may face, e.g., being lack of knowledge about action research and expertise, being lack of time of action research, having too large class, being short of support including money, constraints from students and authority's response. This action research study investigates peer teaching as a pedagogical strategy to raise pre- service second language teachers' awareness of autonomy in learning and teaching. Classroom observation, focus group interviews, and questionnaire were used to (a) explore how the student teachers engaged in the practices of peer teaching and learning and reflected on their relevance to their own future teaching careers and (b) identify the major benefits and challenges of peer teaching from the students' perspectives. Most of the students actively engaged in peer teaching during the course and considered it as a strategy that they might later use in their teaching. Issues such as awareness of teaching elements, opportunities for peer learning, cultural diversity, and English as a medium of instructions brought both benefits and challenges for students in the process of peer teaching. The study points to a research agenda for pre-service teacher education for autonomy that focuses on the long-term impact of students' experiences of a range of pedagogical strategies for autonomy on their future teaching. 展开更多
