The sparse representation of Gaussian processesmakes the GP-based soft sensor practical in a large dataset and real-time application. Endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) is becoming a popular procedure for the diagnosis and treatment of superficial mucosal lesions,and has the advantage of en bloc resection which yields a higher complete resection ...Endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) is becoming a popular procedure for the diagnosis and treatment of superficial mucosal lesions,and has the advantage of en bloc resection which yields a higher complete resection and remission rate compared to endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR).However,the learning process of this advanced endoscopic procedure requires a lengthy training period and considerable experience to be proficient.A well framed training protocol which is safe,effective,easily reproducible and cost-effective is desirable to teach ESD.In addition,the training course may need to be tailored around settings such as ethnicity,culture,workload,and disease incidence.In Asian countries with a large volume of early gastric lesions which need endoscopic treatment,endoscopists would be able to learn ESD expanding their skills from EMR to ESD under the supervision of experts.Whereas,in Western countries due to the low incidence of superficial gastric tumors,trials have utilized simulator models to improve learning.In Korea,the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy(KSGE) is playing an important role in training many gastroenterologists who have shown an interest in performing ESD by providing an annual live demonstration and a nationwide tutoring program.The purpose of this article is to introduce our ESD tutoring experience,review the published papers related to this topic,and propose several suggestions for future directions in teaching and learning ESD.展开更多

The linear time-varying perturbation (LTVP) model is built for product quality around the nominal trajectories. To address problems of model-plant mismatches, model prediction errors in the previous batch run are added to the model predictions for the current batch run. Then tracking error transition models can be built, and the ILC law with direct error feedback is explicitly obtained, A rigorous theorem is proposed, to prove the convergence of tracking error under ILC, The proposed methodology is illustrated on a typical batch reactor and the results show that the performance of trajectory tracking is gradually improved by the ILC.展开更多

Motivated by the ideas of multi-scale representations in the wavelet theory, in the new model, a Gaussian process is represented at a scale by a linear basis that is composed of a scale function and its different translations. Finally the distribution of the targets of the given samples can be obtained at different scales. Compared with the standard Gaussian Processes (GP) model, the MGP model can control its complexity conveniently just by adjusting the scale pa-rameter. So it can trade-off the generalization ability and the empirical risk rapidly. Experiments verify the fea-sibility of the MGP model, and exhibit that its performance is superior to the GP model if appropriate scales are chosen.展开更多

While studying the course "Professional foreign language", the monitoring of effectiveness of project method use in teaching a foreign language was made. Monitoring was conducted under the following criteria: percent of progress, percent of quality of knowledge, and the level of motivation in studying English. The detailed surface rainfall processes associated with landfalling typhoon Kaemi(2006) are investigated based on hourly data from a two-dimensional cloud-resolving model simulation. The model is integrated for 6 da...The detailed surface rainfall processes associated with landfalling typhoon Kaemi(2006) are investigated based on hourly data from a two-dimensional cloud-resolving model simulation. The model is integrated for 6 days with imposed large-scale vertical velocity, zonal wind, horizontal temperature and vapor advection from National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) / Global Data Assimilation System (GDAS) data. The simulation data are validated with observations in terms of surface rain rate. The Root-Mean-Squared (RMS) difference in surface rain rate between the simulation and the gauge observations is 0.660 mm h^-1, which is smaller than the standard deviations of both the simulated rain rate (0.753 mm h^-1) and the observed rain rate (0.833 mm h^-1). The simulation data are then used to study the physical causes associated with the detailed surface rainfall processes during the landfall. The results show that time averaged and model domain-mean Ps mainly comes from large-scale convergence (QWVF) and local vapor loss (positive QWVT). Large underestimation (about 15%) of Ps will occur if QWVT and QCM (cloud source/sink) are not considered as contributors to Ps ,QWVF accounts for the variation of P during most of the integration time, while it is not always a contributor to Ps,Sometimes surface rainfall could occur when divergence is dominant with local vapor loss to be a contributor to Ps - Surface rainfall is a result ofmulti-timescale interactions. QWVE possesses the longest time scale and the lowest frequeney the second and QCM of variation with time and may exert impact on P on longer time scales. QWVF possesses longest time scale and lowest frequency and can explain most of the variation of Ps. QWVT possess shorter time scales and higher frequencies, which can explain more detailed variations in Ps. Partitioning analysis shows that stratiform rainfall is dominant from the morning of 26 July till the late night of 27 July. After that, convective rainfall dominates till about 1000 LST 28 July. The presentation of the findings of this article is based on an action research focused on the supportive role of the school in adolescents' lives, whereby Religious Education's contribution to the social and emotio...The presentation of the findings of this article is based on an action research focused on the supportive role of the school in adolescents' lives, whereby Religious Education's contribution to the social and emotional development of adolescents (11-15) is combined with the evaluation of the potential offered by a constructivist approach to the learning process. The research commenced in 2012 and is now in its third "year. The project is based on an intervention at a high school in an impoverished suburb of Athens and researches educational practices through interpretative-ethnographic methods. The researcher has attempted to answer the question of whether the design of the learning environments is effective not only in the learning process, but also on inter-communication and "connectedness" between the members of the learning community. The findings so far indicate a correlation between adolescents' emotional and social wellbeing and the school's approach to knowledge and learning methods, specifically in Religious Education classes. It is fair to say, however, that there exist ethnic, social and family components that are negatively related to a sense of"connectedness" within the school although at the same time Religious Education as a subject is, however, found to be positively related to learning community atmosphere.展开更多

In the modem educational process, students still have difficulties in learning science concepts. Also, it is a very common problem that students cannot apply mathematical language and concepts into other science areas such as physics, engineering, etc. For example, students start learning about vectors in mathematics in secondary school. Vectors are very important because they have a wide area of applications especially in physics, engineering and navigation to represent forces, tension, velocity, etc.. Using the free mathematical software GeoGebra, a simulation of using vectors in these areas is made. It will be shown that such simulations increase students' interest, keep their attention, and make this knowledge more real and more understandable and connected to the physical world and thus more applicable to their other studies.展开更多

It will be shown that such simulations increase students' interest, keep their attention, and make this knowledge more real and more understandable and connected to the physical world and thus more applicable to their other studies.

文摘Control of the fed-batch ethanol fermentation processes to produce maximum product ethanol is one of the key issues in the bioreactor system.However,ethanol fermentation processes exhibit complex behavior and nonlinear dynamics with respect to the cell mass,substrate,feed-rate,etc.An improved dual heuristic programming algorithm based on the least squares temporal difference with gradient correction(LSTDC) algorithm(LSTDC-DHP) is proposed to solve the learning control problem of a fed-batch ethanol fermentation process.As a new algorithm of adaptive critic designs,LSTDC-DHP is used to realize online learning control of chemical dynamical plants,where LSTDC is commonly employed to approximate the value functions.Application of the LSTDC-DHP algorithm to ethanol fermentation process can realize efficient online learning control in continuous spaces.Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of LSTDC-DHP,and show that LSTDC-DHP can obtain the near-optimal feed rate trajectory faster than other-based algorithms.
文摘In this paper, we conduct research on the development trend of contemporary vocal music education system from the curriculum optimization perspective. In the teaching, because the students interested in learning solfeggio, decided that they have the goal of learning. Learning objectives are the prerequisites for students to generate learning motivation, but also guide the direction of student learning, which reflects the orientation of interest. In concrete teaching process, student association, because has the strong interest to the teacher positive teaching, thus establishes reaches the high-level diligently desire and goal, this will give student’s solfeggio study to bring enormous encouragement and promoter action. But teacher’s strong interest and deep love to the solfeggio teaching has decided the teacher work earnest direction diligently. Under this basis, we propose the development trend of contemporary vocal music education system with in-depth analysis.
文摘The emotional factors play an important role in the process of language learning. Exploration of the emotional problems in the process of English learning can promote the emotional communication between teachers and students. The organic combination of the two aspects of cognitive and emotional can help to finish the promotion of cognitive and education with emotion. People abroad have achieved many results about the research, while further research in domestic is still rare. This paper mainly analyzes the main emotional problems influencing the English leaming, clarifies the importance of using emotional strategy in English learning, points out the way of improving learning effect by affective strategies, thus to guide the students form the corresponding emotion strategy, effectively use in English learning, and improve the English learning.
文摘In multiagent reinforcement learning, with different assumptions of the opponents’ policies, an agent adopts quite different learning rules, and gets different learning performances. We prove that, in multiagent domains, convergence of the Q values is guaranteed only when an agent behaves optimally and its opponents’ strategies satisfy certain conditions, and an agent can get best learning performances when it adopts the same learning algorithm as that of its opponents.
文摘Nowadays, we face many obstacles connected with the high quality education. This sphere forces us to implement new methods and approaches in everyday learning process. The following academic research done on psycho-pedagogical sphere in higher education showed that the enhancement in the educational system is developing slowly because of the lack of research. By all means, it is the right time to follow the objectives and try to develop and suggest the current teaching process using technology that of course will be based on the development of quality control and thesaurus-agency approaches. As mentioned in Bolkan and Goodboy, their research showed that teachers who promote intellectual stimulation empower and enrich students both cognitive and affective getting knowledge and experience process in the classroom. The main objective of current experiment is that it suggests intellectual stimulation which is linked to intrinsic motivation, and that intrinsic motivation has all the advantages to influence students' use of effective studying behaviors. According to Dunlosky, Marsh, Nathan, Willingham and Rawson, there are specific techniques which can influence on the overall process of higher education.
