道学思想对南宋从朝中到地方政治的影响是个有待深入开展的课题。南宋宁宗嘉定八年(1215)前后,道学传人真德秀与张忠恕在江东路发生了激烈矛盾,焦点是赈灾、地方赋税问题。理宗宝庆元年(1225)二人同在临安任官时,又在丧礼、人伦、帝王... 道学思想对南宋从朝中到地方政治的影响是个有待深入开展的课题。南宋宁宗嘉定八年(1215)前后,道学传人真德秀与张忠恕在江东路发生了激烈矛盾,焦点是赈灾、地方赋税问题。理宗宝庆元年(1225)二人同在临安任官时,又在丧礼、人伦、帝王之学、收召名流等问题上立场高度一致,甚至可能因此和解。他们的矛盾与和同,可以从道学政治理论的两截来理解。所谓两截,一截是修身以成“先觉”,另一截是“絜矩”(政事)以实现“天下平”。前者落实在朝廷中,就是所谓“正君”;后者落实在地方治理中,就是合理与公正的赋役以保障民众的财用。真德秀和张忠恕在“正君”问题上取得了高度一致,而在“絜矩”层面产生了分化与矛盾。“一贯”的、内部自洽的道学思想体系可在朝中、地方衍生出不同乃至矛盾的实践方式。 展开更多

An innovative one-step semi-solid processing technique of A356 Al alloy,the serpentine channel pouring rheo-diecasting process (SCRC),was explored.The mechanical properties and microstructures of the tensile samples made by the SCRC technique were tested in the as-cast and T6 heat treatment conditions.The experimental results show that the as-cast ultimate tensile strength can reach about 250MPa and the elongation is 8.6%?13.2%.The ultimate tensile strength can increase approximately 30% higher than that of the as-cast one but there is some slight sacrifice of the plasticity after T6 heat treatment.Under these experimental conditions,the semi-solid A356 Al alloy slurry with primary α1(Al) grains,which have the shape factor of 0.78?0.89 and the grain diameter of 35?45μm,can be prepared by the serpentine channel pouring process.The primary α2(Al) grains are very fine during the secondary solidification stage.Compared with the conventional HPDC process,the SCRC process can improve the microstructures and mechanical properties of the tensile test samples.The advantages of the SCRC process include easily incorporating with an existing HPDC machine,cancelling the preservation and transportation process of the semi-solid alloy slurry,and a higher cost performance. 展开更多

Metal stent implantation for palliation of malignant biliary obstruction-a report of 57 cases

AIMS To report the first experience in China in the treatment of malignant biliary obstruction with expand- able metal stent which allows the insertion of an endo- prosthesis as large as one cm in diameter. METHODS Between April 1994 and May 1996,we implanted expandable metal stents in 57 patients with incurable malignant biliary obstruction,among whom 54 underwent endoscopic procedure and the other 3 re- ceived percutaneous transhepatic placement. RESULTS Insertion of the stent following guidewire positioning was successful in 95% of the patients. Two patients developed cholangitis after stent insertion and were successfully treated with conservative treatment. The jaundice was eliminated completely in 21 cases and markedly decreased in 23 cases within 2 weeks af- ter placement of the stent. Nine patients,however, had late cholangitis due to stent failure after a median interval of 14 days. Twenty-three cases underwent na- sobiliary transient drainage and 3 underwent plastic stent transient drainage prior to metal stent insertion. Transient drainage was believed to have the advan- tages of drainage pre-assessment and infection controlling. CONCLUSIONS Our results show that expandable metal stent is suitable for the irresectable malignant choledochal stenosis. It can eliminate the jaundice and improve the patient's life quality. To get the highest benefit,however,the indication should be strictly selected. And to get long-term patency,the proximal and distal end of the stent proceeding the tumor should be no shorter than 2cm. In the case of hilar cancer, Bismuth classification is greatly helpful for the choice of drainage site. 展开更多

In order to analyze the pavement stress caused by vehicle bumping at an approach slab, a simplified four-wheeled bi- axle vehicle-moving model is proposed. The effect of damping and vibration reduction in the process of vehicle-moving is not considered. Based on the position change of vehicle wheels at the approach slab, the vehicle dynamic vibration equations are summarized. Meanwhile, the undetermined coefficients of the vibration equations are obtained using the boundary and initial conditions of the vehicle. The analytical motion solutions of rear and front wheels at different stages are concluded. Consequently, a four-wheeled vehicle model is developed and vibration equations are provided, which can be used to analyze the impact of complicated stress on pavement. The results show that the excessive stress and stress concentration will occur at the approach slab, and it needs to be strengthened. 展开更多

To investigate the relationship between structure and function of the deferens ducts in the Chinese rat snake (Zaocys dhumnades), morphological changes within an annual cycle were observed by routine histological techniques. Also, the correlation of androgen receptor (AR), estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and aromatase (Ar) expressions in the vas deferens and testis were studied immunohistochemically. To confh'm that the sperm and the spherical structure existed in deferens ducts, we also used routine histological technique observed deferens ducts in the Striped-tailed rat-snake (Elaphe taeniura), Red-banded snake (Dinodon rufozonatum), and Tiger-spotted neck- troughed snake (Rhabdophis tigrina lateralis). The results showed that the deferens ducts of the Chinese Rat Snake were composed of efferent duct, epididymal duct and vas deferens. Efferent duct contained sperm from August-October, and the sperm were observed in the epididymal duct from August-the following January. Throughout the year (except July) a large number of sperm were present in the vas deferens where a previously unreported spherical structure formed by spermatids was observed, which showed no significant differences in the IOD values of AR-, ER-, PR- and Ar- immunoreactivities. Since the spermatids in the spherical structure were undergoing spermatogenesis and this phenomenon also existed in the Striped-tailed rat-snake and Red-banded snake, the term, seminiferous spherule, was named for this spherical structure This study demonstrated that the testis was the main site for snake spermiogenesis, and the seminiferous spherule in vas deferens was the other Both the epididymis and vas deferens stored sperm; however, the vas deferens was the main organ for sperm storage. 展开更多

Uniaxial compressive experiments of ultrafine-grained Al fabricated by equal channel angular pressing(ECAP) method were performed at wide temperature and strain rate range. The influence of temperature on flow stress, strain hardening rate and strain rate sensitivity was investigated experimentally. The results show that both the effect of temperature on flow stress and its strain rate sensitivity of ECAPed Al is much larger than those of the coarse-grained Al. The temperature sensitivity of ultrafine-grained Al is comparatively weaker than that of the coarse-grained Al. Based on the experimental results, the apparent activation volume was estimated at different temperatures and strain rates. The forest dislocation interactions is the dominant thermally activated mechanism for ECAPed Al compressed at quasi-static strain rates, while the viscous drag plays an important role at high strain rates. 展开更多

[ Result ]The 5-hydroxytryptamine immunoreactive(5-HT-IR) cells distribute in oesophagus, foregut and midgut; the distribution density was determined to be forepart of foregut 〉 oesophagus and hindpart of foregut 〉 gut, and the differences in the three density gradients reached significant level. Like PP-IR, SS-IR cells were observed mostly in oesophagus, followed by hindpart of foregut, least in forepart of foregut, but never found in gut and hindgut. The three kinds of immunocompetent cells Gas-IR, Glu-IR and SP-IR were not detected in each part of digestive tract. [ Conctusion] This study may provide basic data for studying the nutritional and digestive physiology, as well as the preparation of meridic diets for M. anguillicaudatus. 展开更多

To establish a kind of standardization of the clinical chemotherapeutic prototypes for unresectable hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC). METHODS: 10-Hydroxycamptothecin (HCPT) was applied through transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) to HCC patients who were categorized into three groups: (1) test group: treatment with HCPT twice (HCPT dl and 14) through TAE and portal venous embolization. (2) Control Ⅰ: treatment with anticancer drugs without HCPT. (3) Control Ⅱ: treatment with HCPT as a major component in anticancer drugs once (HCPT dl). A set of comparisons between test groups and control Ⅰ and Ⅱ groups were performed before and after the treatment to study the effectiveness of each treatment, in terms of tumor volumes, dynamic variations in serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), gamma-glutamyl transferase hepatoma-specific band (GGT-Ⅱ), patient survival and adverse events. RESULTS: The general effectiveness rate of the test group reached 62.1% (72/116), remarkably higher than that of control Ⅰ (32.1%, 40/124) and control Ⅱ (54.7%, 47/56), (P〈0.01 and P〈0.05, respectively). Especially, the reduction rate or disappearance of the portal vein tumor emboli was as high as 88.4% (61/69) in the test group, in contrast with 13.9% (10/72) in control Ⅰ and 35.9% (18/51) in control Ⅱ (P〈0.01 and P〈0.01, respectively). After treatment, AFP decreased or turned to negative levels at 52.3% (34/65) in control Ⅰ, 67.3% (35/52) in control Ⅱ, and 96.8% (60/62) in the test group. Also GGT-Ⅱ declined or became negative at 37.8% (28/74) in control Ⅰ, 69.5% (57/82) in control Ⅱ, and 94.7% (89/94) in test group (P〈0.01 and P〈0.05, respectively). CONCLUSION: We have designed a good protocol (test group) to treat HCC with excellent advantages of high efficiency, low cost, low toxicity and low adverse events and easy application. It could be recommended as one of the standardizations for HCC treatment in clinical practice. 展开更多

The ECSTM exhibits highly stable performance. The drifting rates in XY and Z directions of the ECSTM are about 67 and 55.6 pm/min, respectively. Moreover, a specially designed scanner unit successfully solves the well-known problem of large leakage current in high humidity atmosphere. The mechanical structure of the ECSTM is described in detail. The excellent performances of the system are demonstrated by the measured STM images (in copper sulfate solution), including clean and well-ordered large area morphology of Au(111) and the atomically resolved image of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite. 展开更多

AIM: To evaluate the effect of multidisciplinary team (MDT) treatment modality on outcomes of patients with gastrointestinal malignancy in China. METHODS: Data about patients with gastric and colorectal cancer treated in our center during the past 10 years were collected and divided into two parts. Part 1 consisted of the data collected from 516 consecutive complicated cases discussed at MDT meetings in Peking University School of Oncology (PKUSO) from December 2005 to July 2009. Part 2 consisted of the data collected from 263 consecutive cases of resect-able locally advanced rectal cancer from January 2001 to January 2005. These 263 patients were divided into neoadjuvant therapy (NT) group and control group. Patients in NT group received MDT treatment, namely neoadjuvant therapy + surgery + postoperative adjuvant therapy. Patients in control group underwent direct surgery + postoperative adjuvant therapy. The outcomes in two groups were compared. RESULTS: The treatment strategy was altered after discussed at MDT meeting in 76.81% of gastric cancer patients and in 58.33% of colorectal cancer patients before operation. The sphincter-preservation and local control of tumor were better in NT group than in control group. The 5-year overall survival rate was also higher in NT group than in control group (77.23% vs 69.75%, P = 0.049). CONCLUSION: MDT treatment modality can significantly improve the outcomes of patients with gastrointestinal malignancy in China. 展开更多

[Objective] The aim of this study was to identify the roles of an aquaporin gene GhNIP5.1 in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) by bioinformatics method, so as to provide theoretical basis for further research on aquaporins in upland cotton. [Method] In silico molecular cloning was adopted to obtain an ORF sequence of GhNIP5.1 gene, which was then analyzed by the methods of bioinformatics. The coding region of GhNIP5.1 gene was obtained by analyzing the cotton genome se-quence published in NCBI. [Result] This cDNA sequence had a complete open reading frame of 897 bp and encoded 298 amino acid residues, including the con-served domain NPA (Asn-Pro-Ala) of MIP superfamily. The similarities of GhNIP5.1 deduced amino acid sequences from upland cotton with grape and Arabidopsis, were up to 89.3% and 83.2%, respectively. GhNIP5.1 was most similar in homology and 3-D structure of proteins to AtNIP5.1 among the nine members of NIP family in Arabidopsis. The coding region length of GhNIP5.1 gene was 2 067 bp, and it con-tained three introns and four exons. Al the exon-intron junctions of the gene con-tained the consensus splicing site pair GT-AG. [Conclusion] GhNIP5.1 gene probably has similar physiological functions with Arabidopsis AtNIP5.1. 展开更多

Regulation of intracellular calcium is an important signaling mechanism for cell proliferation in both normal and cancerous cells. In normal epithelial cells, free calcium concentration is essential for cells to enter and accomplish the S phase and the M phase of the cell cycle. In contrast, cancerous cells can pass these phases of the cell cycle with much lower cytoplasmic free calcium concentrations, indicating an alternative mechanism has developed for fulfilling the intracellular calcium requirement for an increased rate of DNA synthesis and mitosis of fast replicating cancerous cells. The detailed mechanism underlying the altered calcium loading pathway remains unclear; however, there is a growing body of evidence that suggests the T-type Ca2+ channel is abnormally expressed in cancerous cells and that blockade of these channels may reduce cell proliferation in addition to inducing apoptosis. Recent studies also show that the expression of T-type Ca2+ channels in breast cancer cells is proliferation state dependent, i.e. the channels are expressed at higher levels during the fast-replication period, and once the cells are in a non-proliferation state, expression of this channel isminimal. Therefore, selectively blocking calcium entry into cancerous cells may be a valuable approach for preventing tumor growth. Since T-type Ca2+ channels are not expressed in epithelial cells, selective T-type Ca2+ channel blockers may be useful in the treatment of certain types of cancers. 展开更多

Although the aetio- pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease remains unsolved current evidence indicates that defective T-cell apoptosis and impairment of intestinal epithelial barrier function play important roles. In inflammatory bowel disease, it has been reported that activation of macrophages seems to be as important as increased production of the macrophage-derived cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1 and IL-6. The triggering factor for this cascade is still to be elucidated as to whether it rep- resents an auto-antigen or a hetero-antigen. It has been also demonstrated that a serologic anti-microbial response exists. This response includes antibodies against saccharomyces cerevisiae (ASCA), E. coli outer membrane porin C (Omp-C), flagelin (cBirl) and pseu- domonas aeroginosa (I2). Host response to microbial pathogens includes self-defense mechanisms including defensins, pattern recognition receptors and Toll-like receptors. Neuroimmunomodulation in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is another interesting approach with implications on the influence of brain-gut axis on intestinal inflammation and its perpetuation. It isprobable that inflammatory bowel disease represents a heterogenic group of diseases that share similar mechanisms of tissue damage but have different ini- tiating events and immunoregulatory abnormalities. A better understanding of all these events will hope- fully provide new insights into the mechanisms of epithelial responses to microorganisms and ideas for therapies. 展开更多

The different possibilities for using mechanical, electrical, thermal and chemical methods in visceral pain research are discussed with emphasis of combinations (e.g., the multimodal approach). The methods have been used widely in assessment of pain mechanisms in the esophagus and have contributed to our understanding of the symptoms reported in these patients. Hence abnormal activation and plastic changes of central pain pathways seem to play a major role in the symptoms in some patients with gastro-esophageal reflux disease and in patients with functional chest pain of esophageal origin. These findings may lead to an alternative approach for treatment in patients that does not respond to conventional medical or surgical therapy. 展开更多

Using FLAC2D to simulate floor rock grouting in soft rock roadway verifies the active role of floor rock grouting in the floor controlling of soft rock roadway; floor rock grouting and grouting range directly impact on the stability scope of surrounding rock, namely, with the increase of grouting range, the subsidence of roof, the approach of both sides, and the amount of floor heave decreased gradually, the stability of surrounding rock is enhanced 展开更多

And the mechanical characteristics of segmental lining structure using straight assembling and staggered assembling were studied deeply. The results showed that, the mechanical characteristics of segmental lining structure varied with the water pressures; especially after cracking, the high water pressure played a significant role in slowing down the growing inner force and deformation. It also testi- fied that the failure characteristics varied with straight assembling structure and staggered assembling structure. We present the design and performance of a home-built scanning tunneling microscope (STM), which is compact (66 mm tall and 25 mm in diameter), yet equipped with a 3D atomic precision piezoelectric motor in which the Z coarse approach relies on a high simplic-ity friction-type walker (of our own invention) driven by an axially cut piezoelectric tube. The walker is vertically inserted in a piezoelectric scanner tube (PST) with its brim laying at on the PST end as the inertial slider (driven by the PST) for the XZ (sample plane) motion. The STM is designed to be capable of searching rare microscopic targets (defects, dopants, boundaries, nano-devices, etc.) in a macroscopic sample area (square millimeters) under extreme conditions (low temperatures, strong magnetic elds, etc.) in which it ts.
