Irregular plates are very common structures in engineering,such as ore structures in mining.In this work,the Galerkin solution to the problem of a Kirchhoff plate lying on the Winkler foundation with two edges simply ...Irregular plates are very common structures in engineering,such as ore structures in mining.In this work,the Galerkin solution to the problem of a Kirchhoff plate lying on the Winkler foundation with two edges simply supported and the other two clamped supported is derived.Coordinate transformation technique is used during the solving process so that the solution is suitable to irregular shaped plates.The mechanical model and the solution proposed are then used to model the crown pillars between two adjacent levels in Sanshandao gold mine,which uses backfill method for mining operation.After that,an objective function,which takes security,economic profits and filling effect into consideration,is built to evaluate design proposals.Thickness optimizations for crown pillars are finally conducted in both conditions that the vertical stiffness of the foundation is known and unknown.The procedure presented in the work provides the guidance in thickness designing of complex shaped crown pillars and the preparation of backfill materials,thus to achieve the best balance between security and profits.展开更多
Schiff base derived from the condensation reaction of analar grade 1-amino-2-naphthol 4-sulphonic acid with cinnamaldehyde was prepared under microwave condition.The Schiff base was analysed by infrared spectroscopy.T...Schiff base derived from the condensation reaction of analar grade 1-amino-2-naphthol 4-sulphonic acid with cinnamaldehyde was prepared under microwave condition.The Schiff base was analysed by infrared spectroscopy.This Schiff base as a corrosion inhibitor of AZ31 magnesium alloy in 0.05 mol/L HCl solution was studied.The inhibition effect of the Schifif base compound(4Z)-4-(3-phenyl allylidene amino)-3-hydroxy naphthalene-1-sulfonic acid(AC) on AZ31 magnesium alloy corrosion was studied using mass loss,potentiodynamic polarization technique,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy methods.The potentiodynamic polarization curve shows that Schiff base AC inhibits both anodic and cathodic reactions at all concentration,which indicates it is a mixed type inhibitor.EIS results indicate that as the additive concentration is increased,the polarization resistance increases whereas double-layer capacitance decreases.The adsorption of AC on the AZ31 magnesium alloy surface in 0.05 mol/L HCl obeys the Langmuir adsorption isotherm.展开更多
A Schiff base(a compound containing a C=N bond)induced anodic Ca−P coating was prepared on AZ31 Mg alloy in a mixed solution of CaCl_(2) and KH_(2)PO_(4) at 60℃ in the presence of glucose and L-cysteine.The microstru...A Schiff base(a compound containing a C=N bond)induced anodic Ca−P coating was prepared on AZ31 Mg alloy in a mixed solution of CaCl_(2) and KH_(2)PO_(4) at 60℃ in the presence of glucose and L-cysteine.The microstructure and chemical composition of the coatings were characterized using FE-SEM,FT-IR,XRD,and XPS.The in vitro degradation resistance of the coated samples was evaluated via potentiodynamic polarization(PDP),electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),and hydrogen evolution test.The experimental results show that the Ca−PSchiff base coating is composed of CaHPO_(4)(DCPA)and hydroxyapatite(HA),whereas HA is not present in the Ca−P coating.The Ca−P_(Schiff base) coating thickness is about 2 times that of Ca−P coating(Ca−P coating:(9.13±4.20)μm and Ca−P_(Schiff base):(18.13±5.78)μm).The corrosion current density of the Ca−P_(Schiff base) coating is two orders of magnitude lower than that of the Ca−P coating.The formation mechanism of the Ca−P_(Schiff base) is proposed.展开更多
Ethical banks can be defined as financial institutions providing both social and economic profitability for the society and environment. Placement of assets and avoiding social exclusion are significant factors that d...Ethical banks can be defined as financial institutions providing both social and economic profitability for the society and environment. Placement of assets and avoiding social exclusion are significant factors that differentiate ethical banks and the rest of financial intermediaries. Ethical banking is a new concept in Turkey. This paper analyzes the situation of ethical banking by examining the significant differences in lending behaviors of 49 Turkish banks in terms of their functions and ownership structures. We conducted non-parametric tests of Kruskal Wallis, Jonckheere-Terpstra, Mann-Whitney, Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Wald-Wolfowitz. We found that in terms of ownership structure, state-owned banks are more ethical than private banks when the placement of assets and avoiding social exclusion factors are considered. In terms of function, participation banks locate their funds to social value generating sectors more ethically than deposit and development banks. From the avoiding exclusion aspect, deposit banks are more ethical than other functional banking groups (i.e., participation and development banks).展开更多

In order to solve the observed fluorine overabundances in Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars, measuring the key 19F(p,a)16O reaction at effective burning energies (i.e., at Gamow window) is established as one of the scientific research sub-projects. By introducing a new kind of entropy solution, according to Oleinik rules, the partial boundary condition is given to assure the well-posedness of the problem. By the parabolic regularization method, the uniform estimate of the gradient is obtained, and by using Kolmogoroff 's theorem, the solvability of the equation is obtained in BV(Q_T) sense.
