We find that the errors of binding energy of odd-even and odd-odd nuclei are not bigger than the one of even-even nuclei. The result shows that comparing with even-even nuclei, there is no systematic error and approximation in the calculations of the binding energy of odd-even and odd-odd nuclei with relativistic mean-field theory. In addition, the result is explained theoretically.展开更多

Performance of the proposed scheme is compared with the existing schemes with multiple testing sequences at different bit error rates. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can mask the impairments caused by transmission errors more efficiently than 0 MV and average MV methods by consuming more time for different bit error rates. It has an acceptable image quality close to that obtained by the selective motion vector matching ( SMVM ) algorithm, while taking less than half of cycles of operations. The proposed concealment scheme is suitable for low complexity video real-time implementations.展开更多

It limits the synchronization capability of the inner decoder, and thus weakens the error-correcting capability of the DM construction. In order to improve the performance of the DM construction, an iterative decoding scheme is proposed, which iteratively utilizes the more accurate estimates of transmitted codewords. In the proposed scheme, the estimated average bit error rates and the estimated low-density parity-check(LDPC) codewords from the outer decoder are fed back into the inner decoder to update the synchronization process. Simulation results show that the proposed iterative decoding scheme significantly outperforms the traditional DM construction.展开更多

Based on the key redistribution scheme, we analyze a one-way error reconciliation protocol by data simulation. The relationship between the error correction capability and the key generation efficiency of three kinds of Hamming code are demonstrated. The simulation results indicate that when the initial error rates are (0,1.5%], (1.5,4%], and (4,11%], using the Hamming (31,26), (15,11), and (7,4) codes to correct the error, respectively, the key generation rate will be maximized. Based on this, we propose a modified one-way error reconciliation protocol which employs a mixed Hamming code concatenation scheme. The error correction capability and key generation rate are verified through data simulation. Using the parameters of the posterior distribution based on the tested data, a simple method for estimating the bit error rate (BER) with a given confidence interval is estimated. The simulation results show that when the initial bit error rate is 10.00%, after 7 rounds of error correction, the error bits are eliminated completely, and the key generation rate is 10.36%; the BER expectation is 2.96×10^-10, and when the confidence is 95% the corresponding BER upper limit is 2.17×10^-9. By comparison, for the single (7,4) Hamming code error reconciliation scheme at a confidence of 95%,the key generation rate is only 6.09%, while the BER expectation is 5.92x 10"9, with a BER upper limit of 4.34×10^-8. Hence, our improved protocol is much better than the original one.展开更多

This letter presents a new FEC scheme based on multiple-symbol interleaved Reed-Solomon codes and an associated two-pass decoding algorithm. It is shown that the proposed multi-symbol interleaved Reed-Solomon scheme can achieve nearly twice as much as the burst error correction capability of conventional single-symbol interleaved Reed-Solomon codes with the same code length and code rate.展开更多

There is no question that the accident has at least slowed it down. Research on this accident is taking place all over the world, in this paper, we present the findings of research on Fukushima nuclear power plant accident in relation to the Czech Republic. The paper focuses on the analysis of human performance during the accident. Lessons learned from the accident and main human errors are presented. First, the brief factors affecting the human performance are discussed. They are followed by the short description of activities on units 1-3. The key human errors in the accident mitigation are then identified. On unit 1, the fuel damage was probably impossible to prevent, however, on units 2 and 3, it could be probably prevented.展开更多
