In a very recent issue of World Journal of Gastroenterology, Dr. De BK and colleagues compared for the first time the two treatment modalities head to head in a randomized controlled study, demonstrating the advantage of PTX over corticosteroids in terms of patients' survival and risk-benefit profile. The advantage of PTX over corticosteroids in survival of patients with severe alcoholic hepatitis was found to be related to the prevention of hepatorenal syndrome in their study. This study raises the question of the use of PI-X as a standard treatment for severe alcoholic hepatitis. Considering the fact that PTX presented a spectacular efficiency in prevention of hepatorenal syndrome in their study as well as that previous studies have shown that this effect is possibly related to a primary renoprotective action because it is irrelevant of tumor necrosis factor-c~ synthesis inhibition or improved liver function, we tempted to speculate that PXT might be an effective option for prevention and/or treatment of hepatorenal syndrome complicating other forms of advanced liver disease. This attractive theory remains to be elucidated by pressing future studies in view of the lack of effective treatment modalities for hepatorenal syndrome.展开更多

Chemical types of groundwater were detected in both shallow and deep groundwater were: HCO3--Ca2+ and HCO3--Ca2+·Mg2+ or HCO3--Mg2+·Ca2+; SO42--Ca2+ and SO42--Ca2+·Mg2+; Cl--Ca2+; and CO32--Na+. The deteriorations of groundwater quality due to the increase of TDS, NO3-+ NO2-(as Nitrogen) and TH contents have been observed from 1991 to 1998. Scatter analyses showed strong positive correlations between Ca2+, Cl-and NO3-ions and weak negative correlations between the depth of water table and Ca2+, SO42-, Cl-and NO3-ions. A mapping of contaminant index based on Chinese standard of groundwater showed that a large proportion of the groundwater in 1998 was deteriorated by human process. Despite their low values of sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), the most of the sampled wells were not suitable for drinking and agriculture purposes due to higher contents of NO3-, NO2-and Mn2+ ions.展开更多

By means of detailed arrangement of sample design, sample making, testing and analyzing, it shows that fiber materials, fabric compactness, fabric weave and yarn type are the four important factors influencing anti-UV performance of woven fabric, but with different effects. Among them fiber material is the most important factor. For the common fiber materials used, it shows that the anti-UV performance of polyester is comparatively better than others. Once fiber material is determined, fabric with medium float weave and high compactness can offer a good anti-UV performance. The anti-UV performance of fabric with "anti-UV" filament yarn is better than that with "anti-UV" staple yarn. The anti-UV property of fabrics with untwisted filament yams is better than that with twist counterparts.展开更多

If a line is uprated with minor ...The voltage uprating of existing overhead lines is an interesting solution for increasing the transmission of electricity, especially in areas where it is difficult to build new lines. If a line is uprated with minor changes of its design and without improvement of the grounding electrodes of towers, its lightning performance remains unchanged. The consequence is that the uprated line will have a lightning flashover rate very high compared to an overhead line of same nominal voltage but of standard design. One attractive solution to solve this problem is to use line arresters. The goal of this paper is to study the use of line arresters to achieve a satisfactory lightning performance of an overhead line uprated from 225 kV to 400 kV without major design modifications. In order to compare different strategies of line arrester installation the flashover rate is calculated based on a software able to launch automatically EMTP-RV. The software named LIPS has been developed under the cover of a partnership between Hydro-Quebec, RTE and EDF.展开更多

In this paper, the commonly used array signal processing(ASP) methods to estimate channel parameters are summarized. Firstly, algorithms that can be used to estimate azimuth angle of arrival(AAo A) and elevation Ao A(EAo A) are introduced. They include multiple signal classification(MUSIC), estimation of signal parameter via rotational invariance techniques(ESPRIT), and Unitary ESPRIT algorithms. Secondly, algorithms that can be used to jointly estimate delay, AAo A, and EAo A are given. They include joint angle and delay estimation(JADE) MUSIC, JADE ESPRIT, shift-invariance(SI) JADE, and space-alternating generalized expectation-maximization(SAGE) algorithms. We also propose an improved SIJADE algorithm to further reduce computation complexity by incorporating with the Unitary ESPRIT algorithm. Performance of the above algorithms to extract only spatial information and to jointly extract temporal and spatial information is compared in both synthetic and 60 GHz real channel environments. Simulation results show that with the inclusion of delay estimation, the joint temporal and spatial estimation algorithms can provide better resolution than algorithms estimating only angles.Measurement data processing results show that MUSIC algorithm can provide comparable results with SAGE algorithm in estimating AAoA and EAoA. SI-JADE and the improved SI-JADE algorithms are also applicable to process 60 GHz channel measurement data.However, MUSIC, SI-JADE, and the improved SI-JADE algorithms can greatly reduce computational burden compared with SAGE algorithm. In this study, super-hydrophobic surface (SHS) on alurninurn conductor with rnicro-nanostructure was fabricated using the preferential etching principle of crystal defects. The surface rnicrostructure and wettability were investigated by scanning electron microscope and contact angle measurement, respectively. The icing progress was observed with a self-made icing experiment platform at different environment temperature. The results showed that, due to jumping and rolling down of coalesced droplets from SHS of aluminum conductor at low temperature, the formation of icing on SHS could be delayed. Dynamic icing experiment indicated that SHS on aluminum conductor could restrain the formation of icing in certain temperature range, but could not exert influence on the accumulation of icing. This study offers new insight into understanding the anti-icing performance of actual aluminum conductor.展开更多

A number of researchers have proposed that the latter species is a junior synonym of the former species...Acila divaricata (Hinds, 1843) and A. mirabilis (Adams and Reeve, 1850) are common benthic bivalves in China. A number of researchers have proposed that the latter species is a junior synonym of the former species. Because of morphological similarities, it is difficult to distinguish these two species based on visual examination only. For better understanding of their taxon-omy, the mitochondrial CO1 gene fragments of five individuals of A. divaricata from the East China Sea and six individuals of A. mirabilis from the Yellow Sea were sequenced in this study. The phylogenetic relationships of the obtained COI sequences, together with nineteen sequences of three species of the genus Nucula, were analyzed. The pairwise intra- and inter-specific distances for the CO1 sequences ranged from 0.002 to 0.017 and from 0.128 to 0.134, respectively, and no overlap was found. Phylogenetically, A. divaricata and A. mirabilis form distinct clades and cluster into a sister to all other Nucula species. The results indicated that A. di-varicata and A. mirabilis are two distinct species. The differences in the morphology and distribution between the two species were briefly discussed.展开更多

Salt spray tests indicate that the corrosion resistance of the phosphate coating plus paint could meet the demand of magnesium alloy automobile components in aggressive environments.展开更多
In order to analyze the mechanism of deep hole high pressure hydraulic fracturing, nonlinear dynamic theory, damage mechanics, elastic-plastic mechanics are used, and the law of crack propagation and stress transfer u...In order to analyze the mechanism of deep hole high pressure hydraulic fracturing, nonlinear dynamic theory, damage mechanics, elastic-plastic mechanics are used, and the law of crack propagation and stress transfer under two deep hole hydraulic fracturing in tectonic stress areas is studied using seepage-stress coupling models with RFPA simulation software. In addition, the effects of rock burst control are tested using multiple methods, either in the stress field or in the energy field. The research findings show that with two deep holes hydraulic fracturing in tectonic stress areas, the direction of the main crack propagation under shear-tensile stress is parallel to the greatest principal stress direction. High-pressure hydraulic fracturing water seepage can result in the destruction of the coal structure, while also weakening the physical and mechanical properties of coal and rock. Therefore the impact of high stress concentration in hazardous areas will level off, which has an effect on rock burst prevention and control in the region.展开更多
To improve flood control efficiency and increase urban resilience to flooding,the impacts of forest type change on flood control in the upper reach of the Tingjiang River(URTR) were evaluated by a modified model based...To improve flood control efficiency and increase urban resilience to flooding,the impacts of forest type change on flood control in the upper reach of the Tingjiang River(URTR) were evaluated by a modified model based on the Soil Conservation Service curve number(SCS-CN) method. Parameters of the model were selected and determined according to the comprehensive analysis of model evaluation indexes. The first simulation of forest reconstruction scenario,namely a coniferous forest covering 59.35km^2 is replaced by a broad-leaved forest showed no significant impact on the flood reduction in the URTR. The second simulation was added with 61.75km^2 bamboo forest replaced by broad-leaved forest,the reduction of flood peak discharge and flood volume could be improved significantly. Specifically,flood peak discharge of 10-year return period event was reduced to 7-year event,and the reduction rate of small flood was 21%-28%. Moreover,the flood volume was reduced by 9%-14% and 18%-35% for moderate floods and small floods,respectively. The resultssuggest that the bamboo forest reconstruction is an effective control solution for small to moderate flood in the URTR,the effect of forest conversion on flood volume is increasingly reduced as the rainfall amount increases to more extreme magnitude. Using a hydrological model with scenarios analysis is an effective simulation approach in investigating the relationship between forest type change and flood control. This method would provide reliable support for flood control and disaster mitigation in mountainous cities.展开更多

Considering the limitations of power, computation capability and storage resources, this paper proposed an efficient defense against collusion scheme based on elliptic curve cryptography for wireless sensor networks in order to solve the problems that sensor node-key leaking and adversaries make compromised nodes as their collusions to launch new attack. In the proposed scheme, the group-key distribution strategy is employed to compute the private key of each sensor node, and the encryption and decryption algorithms are constructed based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). The command center (node) only needs to broadcast a controlling header with three group elements, and the authorized sensor node can correctly recover the session key and use it to decrypt the broadcasting message. Analysis and proof of the proposed scheme's efficiency and security show that the proposed scheme can resist the k-collusion attack efficiently.展开更多

Objective: To investigate damage effects of ultraviolet irradiation on eternal keratinocyte-HaCaT cells and to evaluate photo-protective efficiency of hydroxychloroqine and Traditional Chinese Medicines(epigallocatech...Objective: To investigate damage effects of ultraviolet irradiation on eternal keratinocyte-HaCaT cells and to evaluate photo-protective efficiency of hydroxychloroqine and Traditional Chinese Medicines(epigallocatechingallate[EGCG], baikal skullcap root and szechwan lovge rhizome) on HaCaT cells damaged by middle wave ultraviolet(UVB) irradiation. Methods: Subconfluent HaCaT cells were sham or UVB irradiated and treated with above TCM agents. The damage degree of HaCaT cells was observed by a light microscop. Cell growth was recorded by cell count and cellular activity was detected by MTT method. The secretion amount of IL-6 and TNF-α was measured by ELISA. Results: The irradiation damage of HaCaT cells was depended on the irradiated dosages and cellular activity was reduced by 36%-80%, with a maximum decrease over 90% after 72 h. The intervention of the above drugs may increase the cellular activity by 10%-72%. The photo-protective efficiency was more apparent in EGCG (from 1.19±0.07 to 1.28±0.06, P<0.01) than that in hydroxychloroqine (from 0.43±0.04 to 0.96±0.04, P<0.05). The other two tested drugs also showed photo-protective effect(from 0.44±0.07 to 1.21±0.02, P<0.05). As to cytokine secretion, EGCG could decline the secretion amount of IL-6 and TNF-α apparently. Hydroxychloroqine and baikal skullcap root baikal skullcap root could only reduce the secretion of IL-6. The secretion of IL-6 and TNF-α could not be inhibited by szechwan lovge rhizome. Conclusion: The injury effect of UVB irradiation on cultured keratinocytes is dose-dependent and the tested drugs have photo-protective potency. Inhibition of cytokine secretion may be one of the mechanisms related to reducing the damage effect of UVB irradiation.展开更多

The optimal maintenance policy in infinite time horizon is presented. A numerical example is given when the failures of NC machine tools are described by the log-linear process. In this study, super-hydrophobic surface (SHS) on alurninurn conductor with rnicro-nanostructure was fabricated using the preferential etching principle of crystal defects. The surface rnicrostructure and wettability were investigated by scanning electron microscope and contact angle measurement, respectively. The icing progress was observed with a self-made icing experiment platform at different environment temperature. The results showed that, due to jumping and rolling down of coalesced droplets from SHS of aluminum conductor at low temperature, the formation of icing on SHS could be delayed. Dynamic icing experiment indicated that SHS on aluminum conductor could restrain the formation of icing in certain temperature range, but could not exert influence on the accumulation of icing. This study offers new insight into understanding the anti-icing performance of actual aluminum conductor.
文摘Wave motion in subway or tunnel fire is an intrinsic property of smoke.As the pressure of smoke changes with mass of certain power,a kind of linear wave equation for smoke can be derived from the conservation equations of its mass and momentum,under nearly homogeneous zone assumption.The smoke movement of 4 subway fires was simulated with Airpak.By fitting the pressure-mass functions to the simulated data,wave equations of the smoke were derived,and wave motions of smoke were thus validated.It can be seen that smoke wave is a kind of mass wave,whose velocity is inversely proportional to smoke mass,and wave of a bigger fire propagates slower.

文摘Acila divaricata (Hinds, 1843) and A. mirabilis (Adams and Reeve, 1850) are common benthic bivalves in China. A number of researchers have proposed that the latter species is a junior synonym of the former species. Because of morphological similarities, it is difficult to distinguish these two species based on visual examination only. For better understanding of their taxon-omy, the mitochondrial CO1 gene fragments of five individuals of A. divaricata from the East China Sea and six individuals of A. mirabilis from the Yellow Sea were sequenced in this study. The phylogenetic relationships of the obtained COI sequences, together with nineteen sequences of three species of the genus Nucula, were analyzed. The pairwise intra- and inter-specific distances for the CO1 sequences ranged from 0.002 to 0.017 and from 0.128 to 0.134, respectively, and no overlap was found. Phylogenetically, A. divaricata and A. mirabilis form distinct clades and cluster into a sister to all other Nucula species. The results indicated that A. di-varicata and A. mirabilis are two distinct species. The differences in the morphology and distribution between the two species were briefly discussed.

文摘A new surface protection process was developed to magnesium alloy against corrosion in aggressive environments.Firstly,a phosphate coating was formed on rinsed magnesium alloy.Then,powder painting was carried out on the phosphated magnesium alloy.Surface morphologies and phase compositions of the phosphate coating were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscope(SEM) .The results show that the phosphate coatings formed in bath containing earth additives at room temperature have dense and fine microstructure.The phosphate coating provides excellent paint adhesion to the magnesium alloy. Salt spray tests indicate that the corrosion resistance of the phosphate coating plus paint could meet the demand of magnesium alloy automobile components in aggressive environments.

文摘In order to analyze the mechanism of deep hole high pressure hydraulic fracturing, nonlinear dynamic theory, damage mechanics, elastic-plastic mechanics are used, and the law of crack propagation and stress transfer under two deep hole hydraulic fracturing in tectonic stress areas is studied using seepage-stress coupling models with RFPA simulation software. In addition, the effects of rock burst control are tested using multiple methods, either in the stress field or in the energy field. The research findings show that with two deep holes hydraulic fracturing in tectonic stress areas, the direction of the main crack propagation under shear-tensile stress is parallel to the greatest principal stress direction. High-pressure hydraulic fracturing water seepage can result in the destruction of the coal structure, while also weakening the physical and mechanical properties of coal and rock. Therefore the impact of high stress concentration in hazardous areas will level off, which has an effect on rock burst prevention and control in the region.

文摘To improve flood control efficiency and increase urban resilience to flooding,the impacts of forest type change on flood control in the upper reach of the Tingjiang River(URTR) were evaluated by a modified model based on the Soil Conservation Service curve number(SCS-CN) method. Parameters of the model were selected and determined according to the comprehensive analysis of model evaluation indexes. The first simulation of forest reconstruction scenario,namely a coniferous forest covering 59.35km^2 is replaced by a broad-leaved forest showed no significant impact on the flood reduction in the URTR. The second simulation was added with 61.75km^2 bamboo forest replaced by broad-leaved forest,the reduction of flood peak discharge and flood volume could be improved significantly. Specifically,flood peak discharge of 10-year return period event was reduced to 7-year event,and the reduction rate of small flood was 21%-28%. Moreover,the flood volume was reduced by 9%-14% and 18%-35% for moderate floods and small floods,respectively. The resultssuggest that the bamboo forest reconstruction is an effective control solution for small to moderate flood in the URTR,the effect of forest conversion on flood volume is increasingly reduced as the rainfall amount increases to more extreme magnitude. Using a hydrological model with scenarios analysis is an effective simulation approach in investigating the relationship between forest type change and flood control. This method would provide reliable support for flood control and disaster mitigation in mountainous cities.

文摘Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are being deployed for a wide variety of applications and the security problems of them have received considerable attention. Considering the limitations of power, computation capability and storage resources, this paper proposed an efficient defense against collusion scheme based on elliptic curve cryptography for wireless sensor networks in order to solve the problems that sensor node-key leaking and adversaries make compromised nodes as their collusions to launch new attack. In the proposed scheme, the group-key distribution strategy is employed to compute the private key of each sensor node, and the encryption and decryption algorithms are constructed based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). The command center (node) only needs to broadcast a controlling header with three group elements, and the authorized sensor node can correctly recover the session key and use it to decrypt the broadcasting message. Analysis and proof of the proposed scheme's efficiency and security show that the proposed scheme can resist the k-collusion attack efficiently.

文摘Objective: To investigate damage effects of ultraviolet irradiation on eternal keratinocyte-HaCaT cells and to evaluate photo-protective efficiency of hydroxychloroqine and Traditional Chinese Medicines(epigallocatechingallate[EGCG], baikal skullcap root and szechwan lovge rhizome) on HaCaT cells damaged by middle wave ultraviolet(UVB) irradiation. Methods: Subconfluent HaCaT cells were sham or UVB irradiated and treated with above TCM agents. The damage degree of HaCaT cells was observed by a light microscop. Cell growth was recorded by cell count and cellular activity was detected by MTT method. The secretion amount of IL-6 and TNF-α was measured by ELISA. Results: The irradiation damage of HaCaT cells was depended on the irradiated dosages and cellular activity was reduced by 36%-80%, with a maximum decrease over 90% after 72 h. The intervention of the above drugs may increase the cellular activity by 10%-72%. The photo-protective efficiency was more apparent in EGCG (from 1.19±0.07 to 1.28±0.06, P<0.01) than that in hydroxychloroqine (from 0.43±0.04 to 0.96±0.04, P<0.05). The other two tested drugs also showed photo-protective effect(from 0.44±0.07 to 1.21±0.02, P<0.05). As to cytokine secretion, EGCG could decline the secretion amount of IL-6 and TNF-α apparently. Hydroxychloroqine and baikal skullcap root baikal skullcap root could only reduce the secretion of IL-6. The secretion of IL-6 and TNF-α could not be inhibited by szechwan lovge rhizome. Conclusion: The injury effect of UVB irradiation on cultured keratinocytes is dose-dependent and the tested drugs have photo-protective potency. Inhibition of cytokine secretion may be one of the mechanisms related to reducing the damage effect of UVB irradiation.

文摘Based on the log-linear virtual age process, an imperfect preventive maintenance policy for numerical control(NC)machine tools with random maintenance quality is proposed. The proposed model is a combination of the Kijima type virtual age model and the failure intensity adjustment model. Maintenance intervals of the proposed hybrid model are derived when the failure intensity increase factor and the restoration factor are both random variables with uniform distribution. The optimal maintenance policy in infinite time horizon is presented. A numerical example is given when the failures of NC machine tools are described by the log-linear process. Finally, a discussion is presented to show how the optimal results depend on the different cost parameters.

文摘A novel anti-collision algorithm in RFID wireless network is proposed.As it is put forward on the basis of collision tree(CT)and improved collision tree(lCT) anti-collision protocols,we call it adaptive collision tree protocol(ACT).The main novelty of this paper is that the AD strategy is introduced and used in ACT to decrease collisions and improve the tag system throughput.AD strategy means that query strings will divide into two or four branches adaptively according to the label quantity.This scheme can decrease both depth of query and collision timeslots,and avoid producing too much idle timeslots at the same time.Both theoretical analysis and simulation results indicate that the novel proposed anticollision protocol ACT outperforms the previous CT and ICT protocols in term of time complexity,system throughput,and communication complexity.

文摘The recursion relation of preventive maintenance (PM) cycle is built up concerning the concept of effective age and age setback factor proposed in this paper, which illustrates the dynamic relationship between failure rate and preventive maintenance activity. And the nonlinear optimal PM policy model satisfying the reliability constraints in finite time horizon following Weibull distribution is proposed. The model built in this paper avoids the shortcoming of steady analytical PM model in infinite time horizon and can be used to aid scheduling the maintenance plan and providing decision supporting for job shop scheduling.

Ion beam injected into the spores of Arthrobotrys oligospora of nematode-trapping.Experimental animals are hurled Arthrobotrys Oligospora N spores, collect the feces of experimental animals, test fungal germination, growth, reproduction and predation livestock parasitic nematode larvae in laboratory. Mutant strains of Arthrobotrys Oligospora N can be through the digestive tract in experimental animals. Such biotechnology could be explored for improving the effectiveness of the use of funsal infections to control livestock parasitic nematodes.
