In order to screen herbicides with ideal safety characteristics to control malignant weed nut grass in sugarcane field, 20% thifensulfuron methyl WP and 65% MCPA·ametryne·diuron WP were selected for the field efficacy trial. The results showed that 20% thifensulfuron methyl WP and 65% MCPA·ametryne·diuron WP had good control effect on nut grass. The optimum dosage of 20% thifensulfuron methyl WP and 65% MCPA.ametryne-diuron WP was 1 125 g/hm^2 (effective ingredients 225 g) and 3 150 g/hm^2 (effective ingredients 2 047.5 g), respectively. These two herbicides should be dissolved in 675 kg water per hectare and applied in the vigorous growth period of nut grass (height 10-15 cm) with oriented stem leaf spraying. The control effect after 15 days could be above 87.9%. 展开更多

[Objective] This study was aimed to screen out the strong-aroma tobacco variety with good ecological adaptability as the best cultivar in Chizhou. [Method] Based on the ecological conditions that formed the strong aroma style of tobacco leaves in the tobacco-growing area, 6 varieties(K326, NC55, NC71, 0508, Yunyan99, Yan240) were selected and compared through combining the demand characteristics of industrial enterprise to the quality. [Results] The output value of 0508 was the highest and NC71 had a medium output value but with coordinated chemical composition. The system evaluation of this study on the quality and characteristic style further clarified the feature strength and utility value of various tobacco varieties with strong aroma. [Conclusion] NC71 is the best cultivar in Chizhou tobacco-growing area, and it is suggested using NC71 as the demonstrative variety of the next year. The study on the excavation and screening utilization of tobacco varieties with local features is of great significance to the tobacco production industry. 展开更多

[Method] Leaves of Yuanyan 87 were col ected and cured by three different techniques (moderate-intensity conditions throughout the curing course; high-intensity conditions at leaf yel owing and wilting stages, moderate-intensity conditions at leaf drying and vein drying stages; high-in-tensity conditions throughout the curing course), and then the contents of 48 aroma substances and taste indices of the finished tobacco leaves were measured. [Result] The contents of 28 aroma substances in the tobacco leaves cured under high-inten-sity conditions throughout the course were higher and the taste indices of these to-bacco leaves were better, compared with those flue-cured by the other two tech-niques. The contents of the other 20 aroma substances were not significantly af-fected by the curing techniques. The second best technique was high-intensity con-ditions at leaf yel owing and wilting stages and moderate-intensity conditions at leaf drying and vein drying stages. Curing tobacco leaves at moderate-intensity condi-tions throughout the course was the worst one. [Conclusion] Compared with the oth-er two methods, the contents of aroma substances and taste indices of the tobacco leaves cured under high-intensive conditions throughout the course were the best. 展开更多

It has long been controversial whether the common progenitor cells of TECs could give rise to both cTECs and mTECs. Great progress has been made to characterize the common TEC progenitor cells in recent years. AIM: To evaluate the role of reactive oxygen species in the pathogenesis of acute ethanol-induced gastric mucosal lesions and the effect of Nigella sativa L oil (NS) and its constituent thymoquinone (TQ) in an experimental model.METHODS: Male Wistar albino rats were assigned into 4groups. Control group was given physiologic saline orally (10 mL/kg body weight) as the vehicle (gavage); ethanol group was administrated 1 mL (per rat) absolute alcohol by gavage; the third and fourth groups were given NS (10 mL/kg body weight) and TQ (10 mg/kg body weight p.o) respectively 1 h prior to alcohol intake. One hour after ethanol administration, stomach tissues were excised for macroscopic examination and biochemical analysis.RESULTS: NS and TQ could protect gastric mucosa against the injurious effect of absolute alcohol and promote ulcer healing as evidenced from the ulcer index (UI) values. NS prevented alcohol-induced increase in thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS), an index of lipid peroxidation. NS also increased gastric glutathione content (GSH), enzymatic activities of gastric superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST). Likewise, TQ protected against the ulcerating effect of alcohol and mitigated most of the biochemical adverse effects induced by alcohol in gastric mucosa, but to a lesser extent than NS. Neither NS nor TQ affected catalase activity in gastric tissue.CONCLUSION: Both NS and TQ, particularly NS can partly protect gastric mucosa from acute alcohol-induced mucosal injury, and these gastroprotective effects might be induced, at least partly by their radical scavenging activity. 展开更多

Chemotaxonomy of Two Satureja L. (Lamiaceae) Species from Different Localities of Turkey

In this study, two Satureja L. species from different localities of Turkey (Satureja hortensis L. and Satureja boissieri Hausskn. ex Boiss.) have been studied to determine their taxonomic classification based on chemical characters. For this purpose, aerial parts of the studied taxa were investigated by HS-SPME/GC-MS. 28, 30 and 29 compounds were identified in S. boissieri from Sanhurfa, BingS1 and Malatya accounting from 90.80%, 91.31% and 92.67% of the whole oil, respectively. 26, 30 and 28 compounds were identified in S. hortensis from Adlyaman, Diyarbaklr, Elazl~ accounting from 93.20%, 92.85% and 92.42% of the whole oil, respectively, y-terpinene (30.4%, 26.5% and 32.1%), carvacrol (26.4%, 25.2% and 23.3%) and p-cymene (10.5%, 13.2% and 10.4%) were determined as main compounds of S. boissieri in Sanhurfa, Bing6l and Malatya species, respectively. Carvacrol (25.0%, 34.1% and 32.1%), thymol (28.2%, 20.2% and 28.1%) and y-terpinene (10.1%, 11.3% and 9.4%) were found as main constituents of S. hortensis in Adlyaman, Diyarbaklr and Elazl~ samples, respectively. The chemical distributions of the essential oil compounds in the Satureja pattern were discussed in respect to their chemotaxonomy and natural products. 展开更多

In order to investigate the correlation between the variations in the environmental water quality indexes and the distance of water bodies from the planting region of vetiver, samples of surface water were gathered from the water bodies surrounding an abandoned coal gangue mountain of Dahead coal mine (Dahe, Liupanshui, Guizhou Province) based on the method of field survey and typical analysis. According to the results, the planting of vetiver could effectively purify the water bodies surrounding the coal gangue mountain. Detailed findings include three aspects:(1) The main pollutants detected in water bodies around the coal gangue mountain were SO4 2-, NO3 -, Fe and Cu, with a concentration of 869.45, 35.16, 26.06, and 40.85 mg/L respectively in wet season and all exceeded the national environmental standards for surface water.(2) The pH values of water bodies 150~200 m away from the vetiver planting region stayed within the limits of national environmental standards for surface water and presented a homogeneous feature, revealing that vetiver has the capacity to adjust the pH of the surrounding water body.(3) The contents of Fe, Mn, Cu, SO4 2-, and NO3 - under all treatments, tended to increase with the increasing distance of water bodies from the vetiver planting region;it means the shorter the distance between the water body and the vetiver planting region is, the higher the adsorption rate and purification effects will be;the optimal concentrations of Fe, Mn, and Cu were 0 mg/L, much lower than the national environmental standards for surface water. 展开更多

The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of 1.5% herb supplement of RL (rosemary leaves), YB (yarrow blooms), PL (plantain leaves), OS (oreganos talks) or red GP (grape pomace) on the broiler liver antioxidant activity. Samples were analyzed by FRAP (ferric-reducing antioxidant power), FRK (free radicals) and DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl) methods. Oxidative stress values (metallo thionein, reduced glutathione, oxidized glutathione and reduced/oxidized glutation ration) were measured in the blood and liver. Biochemical parameters (serum albumin, uric acid and bilirubin) were monitored in the blood. The antioxidant activity measured by the FRK method was higher in the oregano supplement (P 〈 0.05) than in plantain and rosemary supplements. 展开更多
