Great progress has been made in molecular mechanisms of CNG channel gating in the recent years. Results of many experiments have indicated that the stoichiometry and assembly of CNG channels affect their property and gating. Experiments of CNG mutants and analyses of cys- teine accessibilities show that cyclic nucleotide-binding domains (CNBD) bind cyclic nucleotides and subsequently conformational changes occurred followed by the concerted or cooperative conformational change of all four subunits during CNG gating. In order to provide theoretical assistances for further investigation on CNG channels, especially regarding the disease pathogenesis of ion channels, this paper reviews the latest progress on mechanisms of CNG channels, functions of subunits, processes of subunit assembly, and conformational changes of subunit regions during gating.展开更多

The results indicate that the composite and the matrix have the same true stress exponent and true activation energy for creep, which are 3 and 144.63 kJ/mol, respectively. The creep of the composite is controlled by the creep of its matrix, which is mainly the controlling of viscous slip of dislocation, and the controlling of grain boundary slippage as a supplement. The creep constitutive model obtained from the experiment data can well describe the creep deformation pattern of the composite.展开更多

Eight-input OR gate circuits constructed with these techniques are simulated using 45nm BSIM4 SPICE models in HSPICE. The simulation results show that the proposed circuits effectively lower the active power, reduce the total leakage current, and enhance speed under similar noise immunity conditions. The active power of the two proposed circuits can be reduced by up to 8. 8% and 11.8% while enhancing the speed by 9.5% and 13.7% as compared to dual Vt domino OR gates with no gating stage. At the same time, the total leakage currents are also reduced by up to 80.8% and 82.4% ,respectively. Based on the simulation results, the state of the evaluation node is also discussed to reduce the total leakage currents of dual Vt dominos.展开更多

The results showed that the genetic diversity of Brahman cattle was rich ; the rate of nucleotide variation, haplotype diversity and nucleotide diversity were 6.25%, 0.978± 0.054 and 0.014 30± 0.008 68, respectively. Nine haplotypes were defined and fell into two distinct lineages, suggesting that Brahman cattle have both Bos indicus (Zebu) and B. taurus genetic background. The taurine haplotypes were predominant at 90% and only Brah-6 belonged to the Asian zebu mthaplotype. This indicates that Brahman cattle was one of the zebu breeds and inherited the excellent characteristics of both the Asian zebu and European beef cattle, such as easy calf delivery, high quality beef, heat tolerance and resistance to various parasites. Breeders introduced Brahman cattle to improve the productivity and adaptability of native cattle. The Zebu has evidently frequently introgressed into the modem taurine breeds. As for modem zebu breeds, B. taurus also highly contributed to their formation, except for the Asian zebu. Furthermore our results also confirm the hypothesis that B. indicus has undergone a separate domestication event and originated from the Indian subcontinent.展开更多

It is found that compared with single logic gate, the coupled system could yield reliable logic outputs in a much wider noise region, which means coupling can obviously improve the reliability of the logic system and thus enhance the LSR effect. Moreover, we find that the enhancement is larger for larger system size, whereas for large enough size the enhancement seems to be saturated. Finally, we also examine the effect of coupling strength, it can be observed that the noise region where reliable logic outputs can be obtained evolves non-monotonically as the coupling strength increases, displaying a resonance-like effect.展开更多

[Method] Salmonel a strains were isolated from chicken farms in Shandong Province. Kauffmann-White classification method was employed to analyze the serotypes of Salmonel a strains. Minimum in-hibition concentration (MIC) of Salmonel a strains against 19 common antimicrobial drugs was analyzed determined with microdilution method. The class I integrons and carried drug resistance gene cassettes were detected by PCR. [Result] A total of 311 Salmonel a strains were isolated and classified into two serotypes, including 133 Salmonel a Indiana strains and 178 Salmonel a Enteritidis strains. Drug sensitivity test showed that the isolated Salmonel a strains were general y resistant to sulfadiazine, sulfamethoxazole, nalidixic acid, ampicil in, tetracycline, doxycycline and trimethoprim, with a multidrug resistance rate of 91.0% (283/311); 99% strains were sensitive to amikacin and colistin. PCR assay indicated that the detection rate of class I integrons was 65.0% (202/311); the positive rate of class I integrons in Salmonel a strains with multidrug resistance was 92.6%; among 202 positive strains, six strains carried gene cassette dfr17-aadA5. [Conclusion] According to the above results, class I integrons exist general y in Salmonel a and are closely associated with the multidrug resistance of Salmonel a strains.展开更多

The forward blocking, conducting, and switching characteristics are analyzed and compared with an SA-GTO and conventional GTO. The results show that the IEC-GTO can obtain a better trade-off relation between on-state and turn-off characteristics. Additionally, the width of the oxide layer covering the anode region and the doping concentration of the anode region are optimized, the process feasibility is analyzed, and a realization scheme is given. The results show that the introduction of an oxide layer would not increase the complexity of process of the IEC-GTO.展开更多

After male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were treated intra-gastrically with different doses of MC-LR for 90 d, the locomotor activity, spatial learning and memory function were evaluated in the rats after treatment using open field tests and Morris water maze tests. The results show that MC-LR exposure can lead to impairment of the spatial learning capacity and locomotor activity in rats at the dose of 2. 00 p,g/kg. The levels of NAA in the hippocampus were measured by magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRI). A significant decrease of NAA/Cr ratio ( P 〈 0. 05) was observed in the hippocampous. This study indicates that intra-gastrical exposure to low-doses of MC-LR has adverse effects on neuronal behavior and NAA levels in the hippocampous.展开更多

The H. pylori isolates were obtained freshly from a human complex ulcer patient. BALB/c mice were fasted for 24 h and then 0.25 mL of 0.2 mol·L -1 NaHCO 3 was administered after by gavage to each mouse and 0.5 mL of 10 9 colonies formation unit per milliliter (CFU/mL) of H. pylori was administered 15 min. On the 3 rd day and 5 th day, the H. pylori inoculations were repeated. The inoculated mice were sacrificed in batch on the 5 th day, in the 2 nd week, 3 rd week and 4 th week. The gastric mucous membrane near pyloric portion was removed, treated and then cultured under microaerobic condition for detection of H.pylori. The remainders of the gastric membrane were fixed by 10% formaldehyde solution for pathological detection. The results showed that the H. pylori could be separated from the gastric membranes of inoculated mice. Obvious invasion of inflammatory cells in the gastric membranes of inoculated mice could be observed from pathological sections. It can be concluded that the inoculating fresh human H. pylori isolates can produce mouse gastritis. This model of BALB/c mice can be used for evaluating the therapeutic agents for the treatment of gastritis induced by H. pylori.展开更多

It is obtained that Gaussian mixture noise can improve the information transmission through the array. Both stochastic resonance (SR) and suprathreshold stochastic resonance (SSR) can be observed in the single threshold system and in the threshold array. The parameters in noise distribution affect the occurrence of SR and SSR. The efficacy of information transmission can be significantly enhanced as the number of threshold devices in the array increases. These results show further the dependence of SR and SSR on the noise distribution, and also extend the applicability of SR and SSR in information transmission.展开更多
