METHODS: BGC-823 cells were transfected transiently with adenovirus-Ang-1 (Ad-Ang-1). Cells transfected transiently with adenovirus-green fluorescent protein (Ad-GFP) and untransfected cells were used as a negative and blank control group, respectively. The cell adhesion rate between cell and extracellular matrix (ECM) was determined by cell adhesion assay. To investigate whether Ang-1 could reinforce gastric carcinoma metastasis, we performed migration and invasion assays in BGC-823 cells. The mRNA and protein expression of integrin β1, CD44V6, uPA and MMP-2 were detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting, respectively. The expression of integrin β1 and CD44V6 was measured by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: BGC-823 cells were transfected successfully. The adhesion rate increased significantly in the Ad-Ang-1 group (P 〈 0.05). The Ad-Ang-1-transfected group had a significant increase in migration and invasion compared with that of the mock-transfected and Ad-GFP groups. The mRNA and protein expression of integrin β1, CD44V6, uPA and MMP-2 in the Ad- Ang-1 group was higher than that in the Ad-GFP and blank control groups (P 〈 0.05). Compared with mocktransfected and Ad-GFP groups, integrin 131 and CD44V6 expression intensity greatly increased (P 〈 0.05). CONCLUSION: Transfection of Ang-1 into human gastric cancer cell line BGC-823 can significantly increase expression of integrin β1 and CD44V6, by which cell adhesion and metastasis to the ECM are promoted.展开更多

By analysis, we firstly find that there also exists a common formula to describe suitable physical fields or potentials for these (1+1)-dimensional models such as coupled integrable dispersionless (CID) and shallow water wave equations. Moreover, we find that the variable separation solution of the (3+1)-dimensional Burgers system satisfies the completely same form as the universal quantity U1 in (2+1)-dimensional systems. The only difference is that the function q is a solution of a constraint equation and p is an arbitrary function of three independent variables.展开更多

However, none of these applications have taken account of time lag effects in the modeling process. Aiming at overcoming the defect, the authors introduced time lag items into SCGM(1, m ) c model and developed a SCGM(1, m ) c model with time lag, then discusses in detail some principal problems in the model, such as parameters estimation, model verifying, model prediction, etc. The model was used on a real slope monitoring project and compared with the conventional SCGM(1, m ) c model. Insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) signaling plays a very important role in progression, invasion and metastasis of bladder cancer cells. In this study, we investigated whether IGF-1R was involved in the growth stimulating activity and drug resistance of bladder cancer cells. The results showed: The mRNAs of IGF-1, IGF-2 and IGF-1R were strongly expressed in serum-free cultured T24 cell line, whereas normal urothelial cells did not express these factors/receptors or only in trace levels; T24 cell responded far better to growth stimulation by IGF-1 than did normal urothelial cells; blockage of IGF1R by antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (ODN) significantly inhibited the growth of T24 cell and enhanced sensitivity and apoptosis of T24 cells to mitomycin (MMC). These results suggested that blockage of IGF-IR signaling might potentially contribute to the treatment of bladder cancer cells which are insensitive to chemotherapy.展开更多

However, the HIV-1 accessory protein Vpu counteracts the antiviral function of tetherin. In this study, two retroviral vector plasmids were constructed. One inhibited the vpu gene expression; the other one over-expressed the tetherin. Both retroviral vector plasmids could be packaged in the packaging cell line PT67 to obtain the corresponding retroviruses. The retroviral vector plasmids' functions of tetherin over-expression or vpu-RNAi were detected at the cell level. Retroviral vector plasmids were transfected to PT67 cells at different ratios from 0T3V to 3TOV, and then mixed retroviruses were harvested. The antiviral functions of mixed retroviruses were detected in HIV-1 infected TZM-bi cells. The results showed that packaged mixed retroviruses could repress the replication of HIV-1 in TZM-bl cells.展开更多

The aim of this study was to establish the historical progression of the described alterations in the testes, explore testicular morphology, histopathology, cellular proliferation, integrity of testicular barrier and hypophyso- gonadal axis in rats with no ascitic cirrhosis. METHODS:Male Wistar rats with histologically-proven cirrhosis induced with carbon tetrachloride(CCI_4)for 11 wk, were allocated into two groups(n=12,each)to receive recombinant IGF-1(2 μg/100 gd,sc)for two weeks or vehicle.Healthy rats receiving vehicle were used as control group(n=12). RESULTS:Compared to controls, rats with compensated cirrhosis showed a normal testicular size and weight and very few histopathological testicular abnormalities. However, these animals showed a significant diminution of cellular proliferation and a reduction of testicular transferrin expression. In addition,pituitary-gonadal axis was altered, with significant higher levels of FSH(P<0.001 vscontrols)and increased levels of LH in untreated cirrhotic animals.Interestingly,IGF-1 treatment normalized testicular transferrin expression and cellular proliferation and reduced serum levels of LH(P=ns vs controls, and P<0.01 vs untreated cirrhotic group). CONCLUSION:The testicular barrier is altered from an early stage of cirrhosis, shown by a reduction of transferrin expression in Sertoli cells,a diminished cellular proliferation and an altered gonadal axis. The treatment with IGF-1 could be also useful in this initial stage of testicular disorder associated with compensated cirrhosis.展开更多

However, the association between inflammation (as indexed by high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, hs-CRP) and endothelial function [as indexed by big endothelin-1 (ET-1)] in AF patients remains unclear. Methods We enrolled 128 patients with lone AF, among which 83 had paroxysmal AF, and 45 had persistent AF. Eighty-two age- and gender-matched controls of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia without AF history were evaluated. Plasma hs-CRP, big ET-1 levels and other clinical characteristics were compared among the groups. Results Patients with persistent AF had higher hs-CRP concentrations than those with paroxysmal AF (P 〈 0.05), both groups had higher hs-CRP level than controls (P 〈 0.05). Patients with persistent AF had higher big ET-1 level than those with paroxysmal AF, although the difference did not reach the statistical significance (P 〉 0.05), and both groups had higher big ET-1 levels than controls (P 〈 0.05). Multiple regression analyses revealed hs-CRP as an inde- pendent determinant of AF (P 〈 0.001). Further adjusted for big ET-1, both big ET-1 and hs-CRP were independent predictors for AF (P 〈 0.001), but the odds ratio for hs-CRP in predicting AF attenuated from 8.043 to 3.241. There was a positive relation between hs-CRP level and big ET-1 level in paroxysmal AF patients (r = 0.563, P 〈 0.05), however, the relationship in persistent AF patients was poor (r = 0.094, P 〈 0.05). Conclusions Both plasma hs-CRP and big ET-1 levels are elevated in lone AF patients, and are associated with AF. In paroxysmal lone AF patients, there were significant positive correlations between plasma hs-CRP level and big ET- 1 level.展开更多

The thermal equilibrium system is guaranteed to be entangled when system is cooled down below the entanglement temperature TE. By virtue of this concept we exploit the minimum separable state energy and entanglement temperature TE of the bilinear-biquadratic antiferromagnetic spin-1 chain model. We numerically calculate TE for arbitrary values of the strength of biquadratic exchange interaction Q up to N=7. We find TE decreases with Q for fixed N when Q is between -3 and 1/3 (J = 1). In this regime TE also decreases with N for fixed Q and varies slowly for large N. While the thermal system is always entangled when Q is smaller than -3.展开更多

文摘By means of an extended mapping approach and a linear variable separation approach, a new family of exact solutions of the (3+1)-dimensional Jimbo-Miwa system is derived. Based on the derived solitary wave solution, we obtain some special localized excitations and study the interactions between two solitary waves of the system.

文摘A highly efficient and green process was developed for the synthesis of useful 5-amino-1-pentanol(5-AP)from biomass-derived dihydropyran by coupling the in situ generation of 5-hydroxypentanal(5-HP,via the ring-opening tautomerization of 2-hydroxytetrahydropyran(2-HTHP))and its reductive amination over supported Ni catalysts. The catalytic performances of the supported Ni catalysts on different oxides including SiO2,TiO2,ZrO2,γ-Al2 O3,and MgO as well as several commercial hydrogenation catalysts were investigated. The Ni/ZrO2 catalyst presented the highest 5-AP yield. The characterization results of the oxide-supported Ni catalysts showed that the Ni/ZrO2 catalyst possessed high reducibility and a high surface acid density, which lead to the enhanced activity and selectivity of the catalyst. The effect of reaction parameters on the catalytic performance of the Ni/ZrO2 catalyst was studied, and a high 5-AP yield of 90.8%was achieved in the reductive amination of 2-HTHP aqueous solution under mild conditions of 80℃and 2 MPa H2.The stability of the Ni/ZrO2 catalyst was studied using a continuous flow reactor, and only a slight decrease in the 5-AP yield was observed after a 90-h time-on-stream.Additionally,the reaction pathways for the reductive amination of 2-HTHP to synthesize 5-AP were proposed.
文摘Background Atrial fibrillation (AF) is associated with inflammation and endothelial dysfunction. In paroxysmal lone AF patients, there were significant positive correlations between plasma hs-CRP level and big ET- 1 level.
文摘This paper deals with the establishment of \%T(1)\% theorem on Hardy space \%H 1\% under condition of weak regularity. An operator or a function is identified on the basis of their wavelet coefficients which are regrouped on some blocks. The actions of each block operator (pseudo\|annular operator) on each block function (atom) are exactly analyzed to establish \%T(1)\% theorem on Hardy space.

文摘Energy is introduced as an entanglement witness to describe the entanglement property of a quantum system. While the thermal system is always entangled when Q is smaller than -3.
