Clinical value of precise rehabilitation nursing in management of cerebral infarction

BACKGROUND Cerebral infarction,previously referred to as cerebral infarction or ischemic stroke,refers to the localized brain tissue experiencing ischemic necrosis or softening due to disorders in brain blood supply,ischemia,and hypoxia.The precision rehabilitation nursing model for chronic disease management is a continuous,fixed,orderly,and efficient nursing model aimed at standardizing the clinical nursing process,reducing the wastage of medical resources,and improving the quality of medical services.AIM To analyze the value of a precise rehabilitation nursing model for chronic disease management in patients with cerebral infarction.METHODS Patients(n=124)admitted to our hospital with cerebral infarction between November 2019 and November 2021 were enrolled as the study subjects.The random number table method was used to divide them into a conventional nursing intervention group(n=61)and a model nursing intervention group(n=63).Changes in the nursing index for the two groups were compared after conventional nursing intervention and precise rehabilitation intervention nursing for chronic disease management.RESULTS Compared with the conventional intervention group,the model intervention group had a shorter time to clinical symptom relief(P<0.05),lower Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale scores,a lower incidence of total complications(P<0.05),a higher disease knowledge mastery rate,higher safety and quality,and a higher overall nursing satisfaction rate(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The precision rehabilitation nursing model for chronic disease management improves the clinical symptoms of patients with cerebral infarction,reducing the incidence of total complications and improving the clinical outcome of patients,and is worthy of application in clinical practice.

Formal management-specifying approach for model-based safety assessment

In the field of model-based system assessment,mathematical models are used to interpret the system behaviors.However,the industrial systems in this intelligent era will be more manageable.Various management operations will be dynamically set,and the system will be no longer static as it is initially designed.Thus,the static model generated by the traditional model-based safety assessment(MBSA)approach cannot be used to accurately assess the dependability.There mainly exists three problems.Complex:huge and complex behaviors make the modeling to be trivial manual;Dynamic:though there are thousands of states and transitions,the previous model must be resubmitted to assess whenever new management arrives;Unreusable:as for different systems,the model must be resubmitted by reconsidering both the management and the system itself at the same time though the management is the same.Motivated by solving the above problems,this research studies a formal management specifying approach with the advantages of agility modeling,dynamic modeling,and specification design that can be re-suable.Finally,three typical managements are specified in a series-parallel system as a demonstration to show the potential.

Safety and Quality Control Management Strategy for Urban Railway Engineering Construction

The safety management of urban railway engineering construction involves many different aspects and a wide scope,playing an important role in guaranteeing the safety of construction projects.Management agencies have more stringent requirements on the quality of railway construction.The overall quality of a construction project should meet the construction requirements before the project can be carried out.In this article,the problems in the actual work of the entire life cycle of safety management are explained,and the lessons and experience pertaining to the safety and quality of urban railway construction projects are discussed.The purpose of this paper is to provide references for the management of urban railway construction.

Safety risk management of underground engineering in China：Progress, challenges and strategies

Underground construction in China is featured by large scale, high speed, long construction period,complex operation and frustrating situations regarding project safety. Various accidents have been reported from time to time, resulting in serious social impact and huge economic loss. This paper presents the main progress in the safety risk management of underground engineering in China over the last decade, i.e.（1） establishment of laws and regulations for safety risk management of underground engineering,（2） implementation of the safety risk management plan,（3） establishment of decision support system for risk management and early-warning based on information technology, and（4） strengthening the study on safety risk management, prediction and prevention. Based on the analysis of the typical accidents in China in the last decade, the new challenges in the safety risk management for underground engineering are identified as follows：（1） control of unsafe human behaviors;（2） technological innovation in safety risk management; and（3） design of safety risk management regulations. Finally, the strategies for safety risk management of underground engineering in China are proposed in six aspects, i.e. the safety risk management system and policy, law, administration, economy, education and technology.

Integrity-Management Characteristics and Efficiency Evaluation of Oil and Gas Pipelines

Pipeline integrity is a cornerstone of the operation of many industrial systems, and maintaining pipeline integrity is essential for preventing economic losses and ecological damage caused by oil and gas leaks. Based on integritymanagement data published by the US Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, this study applied the k-means clustering and data envelopment analysis(DEA) methods to both explore the characteristics of pipeline-integrity management and evaluate its efficiency. The k-means clustering algorithm was found to be scientifically valid for classifying pipeline companies as either low-, medium-, or high-difficulty companies according to their integrity-management requirements. Regardless of a pipeline company's classification, equipment failure was found to be the main cause of pipeline failure. In-line inspection corrosion and dent tools were the two most-used tools for pipeline inspection. Among the types of repair, 180-day condition repairs were a key concern for pipeline companies. The results of the DEA analysis indicate that only three out of 34 companies were deemed to be DEA-effective. To improve the effectiveness of pipeline integrity management, we propose targeted directions and scales of improvement for non-DEA-effective companies.

Safety management of nasopharyngeal specimen collection from suspected cases of coronavirus disease 2019

This article introduces safety management strategies of nasopharyngeal specimen collection from suspected cases of coronavirus disease 2019 in a tertiary designated hospital.The key points include establishing a special sampling room,strict sterilization of the entire environment,training of professional nurses,enhancement of personal protection,standardization of methods and processes for swab collection,and a timely and safety sample submission.More than 11,000 nasopharyngeal specimens were collected by eight nurses,with an average of 1,375 specimen swab collections each nurse,and no one was infected.

The Role of Whole-Process Quality Management Mode in the Self-Protection and Safety of First-Line Medical Staff of COVID-19

At present, the COVID-19 has spread all over the world. In the face of sudden outbreak, it has brought great challenges to the management of nosocomial infection prevention and control. In this battle, how to do well the prevention and control of hospital epidemic situation scientifically and reasonably is the key to hospital management and an important link to ensure the safety of first-line medical staff. Through the clinical practice of our hospital to combat the COVID-19 epidemic situation, we summarize the key points and functions of quality management, and provide management strategies for domestic and foreign countries.

Hospital management priorities and key factors affecting overall perception of patient safety: a cross-sectional study

Objective:Evaluating a staff’s perception of safety culture is a critical factor in hospital management,and the knowledge of value and efficiency in hospitals is still inadequate.This study aimed to investigate the perceptions of safety culture among medical staffs and determine priorities for clear and better management.Methods:A cross-sectional survey of 595 medical staff members was conducted at 2 ter tiary hospitals in Western China using a hospital survey on patient safety culture(HSOPSC)and its value and efficiency in the hospital.Results:The dimensions with a disadvantaged positive response were nonpunitive response to error(44.6%)and staffing(42.0%).Five dimensions can explain 37.7%of the variation in the overall perception of patient safety,and handoffs and transitions are the most important dimensions(standardized coefficients 0.295).Conclusions:Hospital managers should pay more attention to nonpunitive management and staffing.Handoffs and transitions are the most important areas of potential improvement in patient safety in hospitals.

Application of Whole-Process Management in Day Surgery for Endometrial Polyp

Objective:To explore the effect of whole-process management model in nursing management of endometrial polyp day surgery.Methods:266 patients that underwent endometrial polyp day surgery from January to December 2022 were selected for this study,and they were separated into an observation group(131 patients)and a control group(135 patients);the clinical data of the two groups were compared.Results:After intervention,the scores of Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAM-A)of the patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The rate of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the satisfaction degree of the patients in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of the whole-course management model in endometrial polyp day surgery can alleviate patients’anxiety,ensure the quality and safety of day surgery nursing,and improve patients’satisfaction.

Application effect of safety hazard self-examination mode in nursing risk management in hepatobiliary surgery

Objective:To explore the application effect of safety hazard self-examination mode in nursing risk management in hepatobiliary surgery.Methods:Sixty patients underwent hepatobiliary surgery in two tertiary hospitals in Shandong Province from May 2021 to October 2021.According to the different implementation time,they were divided into 30 cases in the observation group and 30 cases in the control group.The control group adopts routine risk assessment,and the observation group adopts the self-examination mode of potential safety hazards on the basis of routine risk assessment to compare the incidence of nursing risk between the two groups.Results:The observation group had a significantly lower incidence of safety hazards in terms of missing surgical instruments,lack of aseptic operation,and postoperative pressure injuries than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The appropriate hazard self-examination mode in the hepatobiliary operation room is of positive significance to improve the safety awareness of operating staff and the comprehensive ability of operating room nurses.

Statistical Safety Analysis of Maintenance Management Process of Excavator Units

Within this paper, the process of statistical safety analysis has been presented, which involves the following steps： formulation of basic principles of statistical safety analysis, initial events analysis, accident sceneries progress analysis, risk calculation, and risk calculation results analysis. On this basis, it has been concluded that the bucket wheel excavator SRs 1200×24/4×0（400 kW）＋VR safety criteria is the mechanism for the hoist of rotor＇s arrow failure modes, because in that case whole bucket wheel excavator failure would necessarily happen （excavator falling down on counterweight）. Therefore, excavator units statistical safety analysis is accomplished preventively to obtain its effective maintenance management.

Simulation About the Growth of Chinese Firm's Safety Management Capability

Aiming at the deficiency of exterminating measures of Chinese firm safety management, a simulation model of Chinese firm＇s safety management capability based on the organizational learning theory, in which the simulation method of system dynamics is utilized. The level variable and rate variable are designed based on the practical situation and change situation of corresponding variables of firm＇s safety management ca- pability. Simulation firms are built with accident case groups of the oil industry, chemical industry, machine industry, coal mining industry, and weapon industry. Through analyzing the simulation result, the growth law of Chinese firm＇s safety management capability is obtained as follows： the accumulating and the coupling of safety knowledge should be emphasized at the same time; the balance of learning behavior of individual, group and organization should be considered together; different types of Chinese firm should take different safety policies according to their practical situations.

Reliability Study on the Risk Precontrol Management System of Coal Mines Safety

Risk precontrol management system of coal mines safety( RPMSCS) provides a set of preventive safety management strategy for high-risk coal industries, which has captured extensive attentions. Fundamentally,there are several membership systems with subsystems in the management system, and the subsystem reliability has an important influence on the management system performance. Through analyzing the structure characteristics of the management system,the phase type distribution was employed to analyze its subsystem reliability by considering repair process and three states including working,fail-abnormal,and fail-emergency states. The reliability indices of the subsystem were derived respectively,including the probabilities that the subsystem in three states,mean time to the first failure, mean time to first failemergency,mean working time to first fail-emergency,and mean maintenance time to the first fail-emergency, are derived respectively. The probabilities of the membership systems and the management system in three states were also derived. Some numerical examples were used to show the procedures. The result is important for better understanding the management system operation and improving its operational performance from the respect of system reliability.

Effect of Intention on Outcome Bias in Decision Making—Implications for Safety Management

The evidence of outcome bias was explored in a two-player (Player 1: allocator and Player 2: evaluator) economic game experiment where the reward allocation was made between two players. The experimental factors were the intention of an allocator (Player 1), the type of chosen dice (selfish, fair, and generous), and the outcome (selfish, fair, and generous). The outcome bias occurred when the type of dice chosen by the allocator (Player 1) was not only a selfish one but also a generous one. The comparison between the two conditions (intentional and no-intentional conditions) definitely showed that Player 2 punished Player 1 to a larger extent when the outcome was disadvantageous for Player 2 (selfish outcome) and Player 2 rewarded Player 1 when the outcome was advantageous (generous outcome) irrespective of whether the die was chosen out of the three types intentionally or not. Moreover, the outcome bias was not observed when the outcome was fair. Thus, we could verify the hypothesis that we are readily got trapped in the outcome bias. Some implications were given for safety management that put more emphasis on the process than on the outcome.

Formulation Method and Management Principle for the Safety Base-line of Atmospheric Environmental Quality

The formulation of the safety base-line for atmospheric environmental quality is not only basic needs of mankind maintaining the quality of survival environment but also concrete measures of red line system for national ecological protection. It is urgent to solve the problem in current environmental management how to draft the safety basa-line of atmospheric environmental quality. To solve this problem, the connotation of safety base-line for atmospheric environmental quality is defined firstly, and then the indexes for atmospheric importance, sensitivity and vulnerability are generalized. Moreover, formulation methods for red, yellow and green lines of the safety base-line for atmospheric environmental quality are put forward ,and corresponding division principle and management principle are put forward finally.
