Cu nanoparticles were prepared by reducing Cu2+ ions with ascorbic acid through aqueous solution reduction method. The effects of solution pH and average size of Cu2O particles on the preparation of Cu nanoparticles were investigated. Cu particles were prepared at pH 3, 5 or 7, with the smallest Cu particles obtained at pH 7. However, Cu particles could not be prepared at pH 9 or 11. The average size of Cu2O particles can affect that of Cu particles. Larger Cu2O particles result in larger Cu particles. In addition, experiments were conducted to explore the reaction process by measuring the X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of specimens collected at different time points during the reaction. It was found that Cu(OH)2 was initially formed as a precursor, followed by the formation of Cu2O, which was finally reduced to Cu particles. 展开更多

为了有效解决传统的极大似然估计方法存在的未知数多导致结果不准确的问题,提出一种改进BIC的GNSS站坐标时序有色噪声特性分析方法:选取全球范围内100个基准站2008—2022年坐标时序及仿真的100组坐标时序,采用赤池信息准则(AIC)、贝叶... 为了有效解决传统的极大似然估计方法存在的未知数多导致结果不准确的问题,提出一种改进BIC的GNSS站坐标时序有色噪声特性分析方法:选取全球范围内100个基准站2008—2022年坐标时序及仿真的100组坐标时序,采用赤池信息准则(AIC)、贝叶斯信息准则(BIC)、改进的贝叶斯信息准则(BIC_tp)对不同有色噪声模型进行噪声特性分析,获取基准站坐标序列的最优噪声模型及速度参数;探讨BIC_tp对噪声模型及速度估计的影响。结果表明,基准站坐标序列噪声模型呈现出多样性特征,在北(N)和东(E)方向主要表现为闪烁噪声+白噪声(FNWN)模型,天顶(U)方向主要表现为幂律噪声+白噪声(PLWN)模型;相比于AIC和BIC噪声模型估计准则,BIC_tp方法对有色噪声模型估计具有较高的准确性,尤其是闪烁噪声+随机游走噪声(RW)+白噪声(FNRWWN)模型对全球卫星导航系统(GNSS)站速度不确定度的影响在N与E方向远大于U方向;正确获取模型参数估计的实际不确定度及改正噪声分量对于合理应用GNSS坐标时间序列数据具有重要意义。 展开更多

In the present study,the process of droplet condensation on superhydrophobic nanoarrays is simulated using a multicomponent multi-phase lattice Boltzmann model.The results indicate that three typical nucleation modes of condensate droplets are produced by changing the geometrical parameters of nanoarrays.Droplets nucleated at the top(top-nucleation mode),or in the upside interpillar space of nanoarrays(side-nucleation mode),generate the non-wetting Cassie state,whereas the ones nucleated at the bottom corners between the nanoarrays(bottom-nucleation mode) present the wetting Wenzel state.Time evolutions of droplet pressures at the upside and downside of the liquid phase are analyzed to understand the wetting behaviors of the droplets condensed from different nucleation modes.The phenomena of droplet condensation on nanoarrays patterned with different hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions are simulated,indicating that the nucleation mode of condensate droplets can also be manipulated by modifying the local intrinsic wettability of nanoarray surface.The simulation results are compared well with the experimental observations reported in the literature. 展开更多

The robust magnesium surfaces with multi-functions are highly desirable,and the simple and scalable methods to construct such surfaces are urgently indispensable.Herein,we conducted a one-step spraying method to facilely fabricate the robust coating with multi-functions on magnesium alloys.The as-sprayed magnesium alloys surface is superhydrophobic with a static water contact angle(WCA)of 157.0°and a roll-off angle of 6.0°.Such surface has excellent mechanical,chemical and thermal stabilities,even undergoing various physical and chemical damages,including sand impact(10 gmin^(-1),≥20 min),water impact(2 impacts s^(-1),≥180 min),abrasion(1.00 kPa,≥25 cycles),peeling(≥2.15 kPa),high temperature(200°C,≥24 h),strong acidic/salty/basic media(p H=113)and organic-solvent immersion(ethanol and n-hexane,≥24 h),demonstrating brilliant robustness.Notably,the surface displays multi-functions of corrosion protection,anti-fouling and heat insulation,which will undoubtedly promote the much wider applications of magnesium alloys. 展开更多

The analytic solution of the linear case is obtained using Eigenfunction expansion .The Picard approximation method is used to introduce the first and second order approximate solution for the non linear case. The WHEP technique is also used to obtain approximate solution under different orders and different corrections. The Homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is also used to obtain some approximation orders for mean and variance. Orthorhombic LiMnO2 cathode materials were synthesized successfully at lower temperature by sol-gel method. When LiMnO2 precursor prepared by sol-gel method was fired in air, the product was a mixture of spinel structure LiMn2O4 and rock-salt structure Li2MnO3, whereas in argon single-phase orthorhombic LiMnO2 could obtain at the range of 750℃ to 920℃. The substitution of Mn by Zn2+ or Co3+ in LiMnO2 led to the structure of LiMnO2 transiting to Qα-LiFeO2. The results of electrochemical cycles indicated that the discharged capacity of orthorhombic-LiMnO2 was smaller at the initial stages, then gradually increased with the increasing of cycle number, finally the capacity stabilized to certain value after about 10th cycles. This phenomenon reveals that there is an activation process for orthorhombic LiMnO2 cathode materials during electrochemical cycles, which is a phase transition process from orthorhombic LiMnO2 to tetragonal spinel Li2Mn2O4. The capacity of orthorhombic LiMnO2 synthesized at lower temperature is larger than that synthesized at high temperature. 展开更多

[ Result] The extraction rate of Soxhlet extraction was the highest of (22.54 ± 0.48 )%, and the herbicidal activities of E. adenophorum extracted by Soxhlet extraction was relatively stronger. As a special type of novel flexible structures, tensegrity holds promise for many potential applications in such fields as materials science, biomechanics, civil and aerospace engineering. Rhombic systems are an important class of tensegrity structures, in which each bar constitutes the longest diagonal of a rhombus of four strings. In this paper, we address the design methods of rhombic structures based on the idea that many tensegrity structures can be constructed by assembling one-bar elementary cells. By analyzing the properties of rhombic cells, we first develop two novel schemes, namely, direct enumeration scheme and cell-substitution scheme. In addition, a facile and efficient method is presented to integrate several rhombic systems into a larger tensegrity structure. To illustrate the applications of these methods, some novel rhombic tensegrity structures are constructed. 展开更多

Many methods have been put forward to solve unconstrained optimization problems,among which conjugate gradient method(CG)is very important.With the increasing emergence of large⁃scale problems,the subspace technology has become particularly important and widely used in the field of optimization.In this study,a new CG method was put forward,which combined subspace technology and a cubic regularization model.Besides,a special scaled norm in a cubic regularization model was analyzed.Under certain conditions,some significant characteristics of the search direction were given and the convergence of the algorithm was built.Numerical comparisons show that for the 145 test functions under the CUTEr library,the proposed method is better than two classical CG methods and two new subspaces conjugate gradient methods. 展开更多

A kinetic study of biogas production from Urban Solid Waste (USW) generated in Dar es Salaam city (Tanzania) is presented. An experimental bioreactor simulating mesophilic conditions of most USW landfills was developed. The goal of the study was to generate the kinetic order of reaction with respect to biodegradable organic waste and use it to model biogas production from food residues mixed with fruit waste. Anaerobic biodegradation was employed under temperature range of 28℃ - 38℃. The main controls were leachate recirculation and pH adjustments to minimize acid inhibitory effects and accelerate waste biodegradation. The experimental setup comprised of three sets of bioreactors. A biodegradation rate law in differential form was proposed and the numerical values of kinetic order and rate constant were determined using initial rate method as 0.994 and 0.3093 mol0.006·day-1, respectively. Results obtained were consistent with that found in literature and model predictions were in reasonable agreement with experimental data. 展开更多

A New Modification of Newton Method with Cubic Convergence

Newton’s method is used to find the roots of a system of equations <span style="white-space:nowrap;"><em>f</em> (x) = 0</span>. It is one of the most important procedures in numerical analysis, and its applicability extends to differential equations and integral equations. Analysis of the method shows a quadratic convergence under certain assumptions. For several years, researchers have improved the method by proposing modified Newton methods with salutary efforts. A modification of the Newton’s method was proposed by McDougall and Wotherspoon <a href="#ref1">[1]</a> with an order of convergence of <span style="white-space:nowrap;">1+ <span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8730;2</span></span>. On a new type of methods with cubic convergence was proposed by H. H. H. Homeier <a href="#ref2">[2]</a>. In this article, we present a new modification of Newton method based on secant method. Analysis of convergence shows that the new method is cubically convergent. Our method requires an evaluation of the function and one of its derivatives. 展开更多

The hydrophobicity of the lotus leaf is mainly due to its surface micro-nano composite structure. In order to mimic the lotus structure, ZnO micro-nano composite hydrophobic films were prepared via the three-step method. On thin buffer films of SiO2, which were first fabricated on glass substrates by the so,gel dip-coating method, a ZnO seed layer was deposited via RF magnetron sputtering. Then two different ZnO films, micro-nano and micro-only flowerlike structures, were grown by the hydrothermal method. The prepared films have different hydrophobic properties after surface modification. The structures of the obtained ZnO films were characterized using x-ray diffraction and field-emission scanning electron microscopy. A conclusion that a micro-nano composite structure is more beneficial to hydrophobicity than a micro-only structure was obtained through research into the effect of structure on hydrophobic properties. 展开更多

Superhydrophobic surface was prepared on the zinc substrate by chemical solution method via immersing clean pure zinc substrate into a water solution of zinc nitrate hexahydrate[Zn(NO3)2.6H2O] and hexamethylenete- traamine(C6H12N4) at 95 ℃ in water bath for 1.5 h, then modified with 18 alkanethiol. The best resulting surface shows superhydrophobic properties with a water contact angle of about 158° and a low water roll-off angle of around 3°. The prepared samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction(XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). SEM images of the films show that the resulting surface exhibits flower-shaped micro- and nano-structure. The surfaces of the prepared films were composed of ZnO nanorods which were wurtzite structure. The special flower-like micro- and nano-structure along with the low surface energy leads to the surface superhydro- phobicity. 展开更多

The technology of drilling tests makes it possible to obtain the strength parameter of rock accurately in situ. In this paper, a new rock cutting analysis model that considers the influence of the rock crushing zone(RCZ) is built. The formula for an ultimate cutting force is established based on the limit equilibrium principle. The relationship between digital drilling parameters(DDP) and the c-φ parameter(DDP-cφ formula, where c refers to the cohesion and φ refers to the internal friction angle) is derived, and the response of drilling parameters and cutting ratio to the strength parameters is analyzed. The drillingbased measuring method for the c-φ parameter of rock is constructed. The laboratory verification test is then completed, and the difference in results between the drilling test and the compression test is less than 6%. On this basis, in-situ rock drilling tests in a traffic tunnel and a coal mine roadway are carried out, and the strength parameters of the surrounding rock are effectively tested. The average difference ratio of the results is less than 11%, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method for obtaining the strength parameters based on digital drilling. This study provides methodological support for field testing of rock strength parameters. 展开更多

In this study,the structural characters,antioxidant activities and bile acid-binding ability of sea buckthorn polysaccharides(HRPs)obtained by the commonly used hot water(HRP-W),pressurized hot water(HRP-H),ultrasonic(HRP-U),acid(HRP-C)and alkali(HRP-A)assisted extraction methods were investigated.The results demonstrated that extraction methods had significant effects on extraction yield,monosaccharide composition,molecular weight,particle size,triple-helical structure,and surface morphology of HRPs except for the major linkage bands.Thermogravimetric analysis showed that HRP-U with filamentous reticular microstructure exhibited better thermal stability.The HRP-A with the lowest molecular weight and highest arabinose content possessed the best antioxidant activities.Moreover,the rheological analysis indicated that HRPs with higher galacturonic acid content and molecular weight showed higher viscosity and stronger crosslinking network(HRP-C,HRP-W and HRP-U),which exhibited stronger bile acid binding capacity.The present findings provide scientific evidence in the preparation technology of sea buckthorn polysaccharides with good antioxidant and bile acid binding capacity which are related to the structure affected by the extraction methods. 展开更多
