It accounts for approximately 90% oforal malignancies and impairs appearance, pronunciation, swallowing, and flavor perception. In 2020, 377,713 OSCC cases werereported globally. According to the Global Cancer Observatory (GCO), the incidence of OSCC will rise by approximately 40% by2040, accompanied by a growth in mortality. Persistent exposure to various risk factors, including tobacco, alcohol, betel quid (BQ),and human papillomavirus (HPV), will lead to the development of oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs), which are oralmucosal lesions with an increased risk of developing into OSCC. Complex and multifactorial, the oncogenesis process involvesgenetic alteration, epigenetic modification, and a dysregulated tumor microenvironment. Although various therapeuticinterventions, such as chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and nanomedicine, have been proposed to prevent or treat OSCCand OPMDs, understanding the mechanism of malignancies will facilitate the identification of therapeutic and prognostic factors, thereby improving the efficacy of treatment for OSCC patients. This review summarizes the mechanisms involved in OSCC.Moreover, the current therapeutic interventions and prognostic methods for OSCC and OPMDs are discussed to facilitatecomprehension and provide several prospective outlooks for the fields.展开更多

In this study, we sought to define the role of insulin signaling in the growth plate. Insulin treatment of embryonic metatarsal bones from wild-type mice increased chondrocyte proliferation. Mice lacking insulin receptor (IR) selectively in chondrocytes (CartIR-/-) had no discernable differences in total femoral length compared to control littermates. However, CartIR-/- mice exhibited an increase in chondrocyte numbers in the growth plate than that of the controls. Chondrocytes lacking IR had elevated insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-IR mRNA and protein levels. Subsequently, IGF-1 induced phosphorylafion of Akt and ERK was enhanced, while this action was eliminated when the cells were treated with IGF-1R inhibitor Picropodophyllin. Deletion of the IR impaired chondrogenic differentiation, and the effect could not be restored by treatment of insulin, but partially rescued by IGF-1 treatment. Intriguingly, the size of hypertrophic chondrocytes was smaller in CartIR-/- mice when compared with that of the control littermates, which was associated with upregnlation of tuberous sclerosis complex 2 (TSC2). These results suggest that deletion of the IR in chondrocytes sensitizes IGF-1R signaling and action, IR and IGF-1R coordinate to regulate the proliferation, differentiation and hypertrophy of growth plate chondrocytes.展开更多

文摘This paper proposes a longitudinal protection scheme utilizing empirical wavelet transform(EWT)for a through-type cophase traction direct power supply system, where both sides of a traction network line exhibit a distinctive boundary structure. This approach capitalizes on the boundary’s capacity to attenuate the high-frequency component of fault signals, resulting in a variation in the high-frequency transient energy ratio when faults occur inside or outside the line.During internal line faults, the high-frequency transient energy at the checkpoints located at both ends surpasses that of its neighboring lines.Conversely, for faults external to the line, the energy is lower compared to adjacent lines.EWT is employed to decompose the collected fault current signals, allowing access to the high-frequency transient energy. The longitudinal protection for the traction network line is established based on disparities between both ends of the traction network line and the high-frequency transient energy on either side of the boundary. Moreover, simulation verification through experimental results demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed protection scheme across various initial fault angles, distances to faults, and fault transition resistances.

文摘Fluid-structure-particle interactions in three spatial dimensions happen in many environmental and engineering flows. This paper presents the parallel algorithms for the hybrid diffuse and sharp interface immersed boundary(IB)method developed in our previous work. For the moving structure modeled using the sharp interface IB method,a recursive box method is developed for efficiently classifying the background grid nodes. For the particles modeled using the diffuse interface IB method,a‘master-slave’approach is adopted. For the particle-particle interaction(PPI)and particle-structure interaction(PSI),a fast algorithm for classifying the active and inactive Lagrangian points, which discretize the particle surface,is developed for the‘dry’contact approach. The results show that the proposed recursive box method can reduce the classifying time from 52seconds to 0.3 seconds.Acceptable parallel efficiency is obtained for cases with different particle concentrations.Furthermore, the lubrication model is utilized when a particle approaches a wall, enabling an accurate simulation of the rebounding phenomena in the benchmark particle-wall collision problem. At last, the capability of the proposed computational framework is demonstrated by simulating particle-laden turbulent channel flows with rough walls.

文摘Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) develops on the mucosal epithelium of the oral cavity. This review summarizes the mechanisms involved in OSCC.Moreover, the current therapeutic interventions and prognostic methods for OSCC and OPMDs are discussed to facilitatecomprehension and provide several prospective outlooks for the fields.

文摘Under the combined influence of climate change and human activities, vegetation ecosystem has undergone profound changes. It can be seen that there are obvious differences in the evolution patterns and driving mechanisms of vegetation ecosystem in different historical periods. Therefore,it is urgent to identify and reveal the dominant factors and their contribution rates in the vegetation change cycle.Based on the data of climate elements(sunshine hours, precipitation and temperature),human activities(population intensity and GDP intensity)and other natural factors(altitude, slope and aspect),this study explored the spatial and temporal evolution patterns of vegetation NDVI in the Yellow River Basin of China from 1989 to 2019 through a residual method,a trend analysis, and a gravity center model, and quantitatively distinguished the relative actions of climate change and human activities on vegetation evolution based on Geodetector model. The results showed that the spatial distribution of vegetation NDVI in the Yellow River Basin showed a decreasing trend from southeast to northwest.During 1981-2019,the temporal variation of vegetation NDVI showed an overall increasing trend. The gravity centers of average vegetation NDVI during the study period was distributed in Zhenyuan County,Gansu Province, and the center moved northeastwards from 1981 to 2019.During 1981-2000 and 2001-2019,the proportion of vegetation restoration areas promoted by the combined action of climate change and human activities was the largest.During the study period(1981-2019),the dominant factors influencing vegetation NDVI shifted from natural factors to human activities. These results could provide decision support for the protection and restoration of vegetation ecosystem in the Yellow River Basin.

文摘Anti-jamming solutions based on antenna arrays enhance the anti-jamming ability and the robustness of global navigation satellite system(GNSS)receiver remarkably. However, the performance of the receiver will deteriorate significantly in the overloaded interferences scenario. We define the overloaded interferences scenario as where the number of interferences is more than or equal to the number of antenna arrays elements. In this paper, the effect mechanism of interferences with different incident directions is found by studying the anti-jamming performance of the adaptive space filter. The theoretical analysis and conclusions, which are first validated through numerical examples, reveal the relationships between the optimal weight vector and the eigenvectors of the input signal autocorrelation matrix, the relationships between the interference cancellation ratio(ICR),the signal to interference and noise power ratio(SINR)of the adaptive space filter output and the number of interferences, the eigenvalues of the input signal autocorrelation matrix. In addition, two simulation experiments are utilized to further corroborate the theoretical findings through soft anti-jamming receiver. The simulation results match well with the theoretical analysis results, thus validating the effect mechanism of overloaded interferences. The simulation results show that, for a four elements circular array, the performance difference is up to 19 dB with different incident directions of interferences.Anti-jamming performance evaluation and jamming deployment optimization can obtain more accurate and efficient results by using the conclusions.

文摘The rock fracture characteristics and principal stress directions are crucial for prevention of geological disasters. In this study,we carried out biaxial compression tests on cubic granite samples of 100 mm in side length with different intermediate principal stress gradients in combination with acoustic emission(AE)technique. Results show that the fracture characteristics of granite samples change from‘sudden and aggregated’to‘continuous and dispersed’with the increase of the intermediate principal stress. The effect of increasing intermediate principal stress on AE amplitude is not significant, but it increases the proportions of high-frequency AE signals and shear cracks, which in turn increases the possibility of unstable rock failure. The difference of stress in different directions causes the anisotropy of rock fracture and thus leads to the obvious anisotropic characteristics of wave velocity variations. The anisotropy of wave velocity variations with stress difference is probable to identify the principal stress directions. The AE characteristics and the anisotropy of wave velocity variations of granite under two-dimensional stress are not only beneficial complements for rock fracture characteristic and principal stress direction identification, but also can provide a new analysis method for stability monitoring in practical rock engineering.

文摘In this paper,we consider the practical prescribed-time performance guaranteed tracking control problem for a class of uncertain strict-feedback systems subject to unknown control direction.Due to the existence of unknown nonlinearities and uncertainties,it is challenging to design a controller that can ensure the stability of closed-loop system within a predetermined finite time while maintaining the specified transient performance. The underlying problem becomes further complex as the control directions are unknown. To deal with the above problems,a special translation function as well as Nussbaum type function are introduced in the prescribed performance control(PPC)framework. Finally,a PPC as well as preset finite time tracking control scheme is designed, and its effectiveness is confirmed by both theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.

文摘Recycling spent lithium-ion batteries(SLIBs)has become essential to preserve the environment and reclaim vital resources for sustainable development. The typical SLIBs recycling concentrated on separating valuable components had limitations, including high energy consumption and complicated separation processes. This work suggests a safe hydrometallurgical process to recover usable metallic cobalt from depleted LiCoO_(2)batteries by utilizing citric acid as leachant and hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent, with ethanol as a selective precipitating agent. The anode graphite was also recovered and converted to graphene oxide(GO).The above components were directly resynthesized to cobaltintegrated nitrogen-doped graphene(Co@NG).The Co@NG showed a decent activity towards oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)with a half-wave potential of 0.880 V vs.RHE,almost similar to Pt/C(0.888 V vs.RHE)and with an onset potential of 0.92 V vs.RHE.The metal-nitrogen-carbon(Co-N-C)having the highest nitrogen content has decreased the barrier for ORR since the reaction was enhanced for Co@NG-800,as confirmed by density functional theory(DFT)simulations. The Co@NG cathode catalyst coupled with commercial Pt-Ru/C as anode catalyst exhibits excellent performance for direct methanol fuel cell(DMFC)with a peak power density of 34.7 mW cm^(-2)at a discharge current density of120 m A cm^(-2)and decent stability, indicating the promising utilization of spent battery materials in DMFC applications.Besides, lithium was recovered from supernatant as lithium carbonate by coprecipitation process. This work avoids sophisticated elemental separation by utilizing SLIBs for other renewable energy applications, lowering the environmental concerns associated with recycling.
文摘On the basis of analyzing the principles, equipment and control needs of directional solidification continuous casting (DSCC) process, the building and fulfilling methods of control model of DSCC procedure by neural network control (NNC) method were proposed and discussed. Combining the experimental researches, firstly the computer is used to simulate the effects of those solidification parameters on destination control variable (S/L interface) and the reactions among those parameters during DSCC procedure; secondly many training samples can be obtained. Moreover, after these samples are input into neural network software (NNs) and trained, the control model can be built.

文摘Insufficient insulin production or action in diabetic states is associated with growth retardation and impaired bone healing, while the underling mechanisms are unknown. These results suggest that deletion of the IR in chondrocytes sensitizes IGF-1R signaling and action, IR and IGF-1R coordinate to regulate the proliferation, differentiation and hypertrophy of growth plate chondrocytes.

文摘BACKGROUND Dislocation rates after hemiarthroplasty reportedly vary from 1%to 17%.This serious complication is associated with increased morbidity and mortality rates.Approaches to this surgery are still debated, with no consensus regarding the superiority of any single approach.AIM To compare early postoperative complications after implementing the direct anterior and posterior approaches(PL)for hip hemiarthroplasty after femoral neck fractures.METHODS This is a comparative,retrospective,single-center cohort study conducted at a university hospital.Between March 2008 and December 2018,273 patients(a total of 280 hips)underwent bipolar hemiarthroplasties(n=280)for displaced femoral neck fractures using either the PL(n=171)or the minimally invasive direct anterior approach(DAA)(n=109).The choice of approach was related to the surgeons’practices;the implant types were similar and unrelated to the approach.Dislocation rates and other complications were reviewed after a minimum followup of 6 mo.RESULTS Both treatment groups had similarly aged patients(mean age:82 years),sex ratios, patient body mass indexes, and patient comorbidities.Surgical data(surgery delay time, operative time, and blood loss volume)did not differ significantly between the groups. The 30 d mortality rate was higher in the PL group(9.9%)than in the DAA group(3.7%),but the difference was not statistically significant(P=0.052).Among the one-month survivors,a significantly higher rate of dislocation was observed in the PL group(14/154;9.1%)than in the DAA group(0/105;0%)(P=0.002).Of the 14 patients with dislocation,8 underwent revision surgery for recurrent instability(posterior group),and one of them had 2 additional procedures due to a deep infection. The rate of other complications(e.g.,perioperative and early postoperative periprosthetic fractures and infection-related complications)did not differ significantly between the groups.CONCLUSION These findings suggest that the DAA to bipolar hemiarthroplasty for patients with femoral neck fractures is associated with a lower dislocation rate(<1%)than the PL.
