Cultural identity is the identity or feeling of belonging to a group.Individual,relational and communal identity are the three components of the cultural identity.Chinese cultural identity is an example of communal id...Cultural identity is the identity or feeling of belonging to a group.Individual,relational and communal identity are the three components of the cultural identity.Chinese cultural identity is an example of communal identity.A positive national cultural identity enhances national prestige,increases global understanding,reveals a unique value proposition and develops a competitive advantage in the world.However,in the wave of globalization and contemporary Chinese social transformation,Chinese cultural identity encounters some challenges.Cultural identity becomes fuzzy.The present paper attempts to make some suggestions to the construction and representation of Chinese cultural identity from an intercultural perspective.To construct Chinese cultural identity,we should try to accommodate Chinese cultural inheritance with contemporary culture and modern society,enhance full development of cultural products,rebuild people’s self-esteem on cultural identity,and improve the government’s identity-constructing ability.As for the representation of Chinese cultural identity,promoting the Chinese language,making use of mass media,performing national cultural identity in sports,encouraging heritage tourism and drawing upon other countries’ experience would be essential.展开更多

Helmet detection caught the attention of machine learning, but the problem of identity recognition has been ignored in previous studies, which brings trouble to the subsequent safety education of workers. Although, many scholars have devoted themselves to the study of person re-identification which neglected safety detection. The study of this paper mainly proposes a method based on deep learning, which is different from the previous study of helmet detection </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">and human identity recognition and can carry out helmet detection and</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> identity recognition for construction workers. This paper proposes a computer vision-based worker identity recognition and helmet recognition method. We collected 3000 real-name channel images and constructed a neural network based on </span></span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">the </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">You Only Look Once (YOLO) v3 model to extract the features of the construction worker’s face and helmet, respectively. Experiments show that the method has a high recognition accuracy rate, fast recognition speed, accurate recognition of workers and helmet detection, and solves the problem of poor supervision of real-name channels.展开更多
This paper explores the extent to which language and culture can suffice as an interpretative framework for interrogating the issues and challenges of Igbo identity within the multidimensional context of Nigeria.As a ...This paper explores the extent to which language and culture can suffice as an interpretative framework for interrogating the issues and challenges of Igbo identity within the multidimensional context of Nigeria.As a function of individual,group and collective personality,the search for identity,which is both physical and transcendental,can hardly ignore the pivotal significance of language and culture.Nonetheless,realities of contemporary times have tended to provoke a number of issues,which sire a seedbed of identity crisis and by extension gnaws away the centrality of language and culture in identity construction.This is the research problem identified,which we sought to address in this paper.To this effect,we identified language and culture as veritable tools of identity construction.However,the corroding effects of modernity and intervening variables on language and culture have not only divested the latter of their instrumentality but advertently or inadvertently emboldened real-time disruptive tendencies and concomitant exigencies to alter the salient ontological relationships that characteristically define the typical African society.To reverse this ugly trend,we suggest a retooling/re-jigging Igbo language and culture in a manner that would reposition them to reclaim their‘lost paradise’and re-invent them as indispensible integers in the identity construction equation.展开更多
