Objective: To explore the effectiveness of applying patient simulators combined with Internet Plus scenario simulation teaching models on intravenous (IV) infusion nursing education, and to provide scientific evidence...Objective: To explore the effectiveness of applying patient simulators combined with Internet Plus scenario simulation teaching models on intravenous (IV) infusion nursing education, and to provide scientific evidence for the implementation of advanced teaching models in future nursing education. Methods: Enrolled 60 nurses who took the IV infusion therapy training program in our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 for research. 30 nurses who were trained in traditional teaching models from January to December 2022 were selected as the control group, and 30 nurses who were trained with simulation-based teaching models with methods including simulated patients, internet, online meetings which can be replayed and scenario simulation, etc. from January to December 2023 were selected as the experimental group. Evaluated the learning outcomes based on the Competency Inventory for Nursing Students (CINS), Problem-Solving Inventory (PSI), comprehensive learning ability, scientific research ability, and proficiency in the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of IV infusion therapy. Nursing quality, the incidence of IV infusion therapy complications and nurse satisfaction with different teaching models were also measured. Results: The scientific research ability, PSI scores, CINS scores, and comprehensive learning ability of the experimental group were better than those of the control group (P 0.05), and their assessment results of practical skills, nursing quality of IV infusion therapy during training, and satisfaction with teaching models were all better than those of the control group with statistical significance (P < 0.05). The incidence of IV infusion therapy complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, indicating statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Teaching models based on patient simulators combined with Internet Plus scenario simulation enable nursing students to learn more directly and practice at any time and in any place, and can improve their proficiency in IV infusion theoretical knowledge and skills (e.g. PICC catheterization), core competencies, problem-solving ability, comprehensive learning ability, scientific research ability and the ability to deal with complicated cases. Also, it helps provide high-quality nursing education, improve the nursing quality of IV therapy, reduce the incidence of related complications, and ensure the safety of patients with IV therapy.展开更多

Although the basic concept of the Internet of Things sounds simple, its application is difficult and, so far, the respective existing architectural models are rather monolithic and are dominated by several limitations. The paper introduces a generic Internet of Things architecture trying to resolve the existing restrictions of current architectural models by integrating both RFID and smart object-based infrastructures, while also exploring a third parameter, i.e. the social potentialities of the Internet of Things building blocks towards shaping the “Social Internet of Things”. The proposed architecture is based on a layered lightweight and open middle-ware solution following the paradigm of Service Oriented Architecture and the Semantic Model Driven Ap-proach, which is realized at both design-time and deployment–time covering the whole service lifecycle for the corresponding services and applications provided.展开更多

As the smart grid evolved, many attempts started to introduce the IoT as enabling technology to the grid. Each device in the grid can be considered as an object. Utilizing the concept of IoT, each device can have a unique IP address that can upload its status and download control commands via the Internet. Nowadays,quality improvement and increased accessibility to patient data,at a reasonable cost,are highly challenging tasks in healthcare sector.Internet of Things(IoT)and Cloud Computing(CC)architectures are utilized ...Nowadays,quality improvement and increased accessibility to patient data,at a reasonable cost,are highly challenging tasks in healthcare sector.Internet of Things(IoT)and Cloud Computing(CC)architectures are utilized in the development of smart healthcare systems.These entities can support real-time applications by exploiting massive volumes of data,produced by wearable sensor devices.The advent of evolutionary computation algorithms andDeep Learning(DL)models has gained significant attention in healthcare diagnosis,especially in decision making process.Skin cancer is the deadliest disease which affects people across the globe.Automatic skin lesion classification model has a highly important application due to its fine-grained variability in the presence of skin lesions.The current research article presents a new skin lesion diagnosis model i.e.,Deep Learning with Evolutionary Algorithm based Image Segmentation(DL-EAIS)for IoT and cloud-based smart healthcare environments.Primarily,the dermoscopic images are captured using IoT devices,which are then transmitted to cloud servers for further diagnosis.Besides,Backtracking Search optimization Algorithm(BSA)with Entropy-Based Thresholding(EBT)i.e.,BSA-EBT technique is applied in image segmentation.Followed by,Shallow Convolutional Neural Network(SCNN)model is utilized as a feature extractor.In addition,Deep-Kernel Extreme LearningMachine(D-KELM)model is employed as a classification model to determine the class labels of dermoscopic images.An extensive set of simulations was conducted to validate the performance of the presented method using benchmark dataset.The experimental outcome infers that the proposed model demonstrated optimal performance over the compared techniques under diverse measures.展开更多

It is very desirable in the recent SH market for the system to recognize users' behaviors and automatically response the corresponding activities to satisfy users' actual demands. However, activity models in the existing approaches are usually defined separately through knowledge-driven methods. These approaches cause that the activity models can't be matched with the services dynamically. To address the problem, we develop the semantic association model and a novel approach of activity recognition and guidance is presented. In our approach, the smart devices and users' requirements are described by semantic models. When the requirements are detected and understood, smart gateway can provide appropriate services, achieving activity assistance. The semantic association model allows all related elements in smart home connect with each other logically. The approach has been implemented and the results show that the success rate of the approach based on semantic association model is higher than 33% at average as compared to the approach based on predefined models. The proposed approach can effectively help people who are in trouble with learning or remembering in the common life.展开更多
