会话含意理论视角下人物对话的理解和翻译——以The Adventures of Tom Sawyer及其汉译本为例

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer是美国著名现实主义作家马克·吐温于19世纪70年代创作的重要作品之一,小说以对话为主,语言幽默风趣。本文基于合作原则和会话含意理论,以The Adventures of Tom Sawyer及成时汉译本为研究对象,通过对比英语原文和汉语译文,考察小说人物对话“会话含意”传递过程中所体现的翻译技巧。研究发现,增译、转换、分译、减译均能成功传递会话含意,而译者对翻译技巧的选择则受到译者认知、读者取向、英汉语言和文化差异等多重因素的综合影响。The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is one of the major works written by the famous American realist writer Mark Twain in the 1870s. The novel is dialogue-based with humorous language. Based on the cooperative principle and the conversational implicature theory, this study takes The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and its Chinese translation by Cheng Shi as the research object and investigates the translation techniques embodied in the transmission of “conversational implicature” of characters’ utterances by comparing the original English text and the Chinese translation. It is found that addition, shift, division and omission can all convey conversational implicature, and that the translator’s choice of translation techniques is influenced by multiple factors, such as translator’s cognition, readers’ orientation, and English-Chinese linguistic and cultural differences.

礼貌原则的违反在儿童文学对话中的运用和翻译——以The Adventures of Tom Sawyer为例

本文以The Adventures of Tom Sawyer英文原著以及成时的中文译本为研究对象,借鉴利奇(Geoffrey Leech)的礼貌原则为理论支撑,基于儿童文学的独特性,探讨了儿童文学中礼貌原则的违反现象,研究发现成时在翻译过程中通过添加语气、增强情感和明晰内涵等策略有效传达“不礼貌”话语的语用意义。本研究旨在为提升儿童文学翻译质量及跨文化交流提供参考意义。

多元系统理论视角下Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland译本比较研究

以多元系统理论为指导,对Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland两个不同时期的译本进行对比研究,将赵元任《阿丽思漫游奇境记》译本和吴钧陶《爱丽斯奇境历险记》译本放在其各自产生的社会背景中去对比分析两译本产生的客观原因和译者翻译策略的选择,结论是,两译本的产生在一定程度上由其特定的历史文化背景决定,儿童翻译文学在中国文化多元系统的地位影响两译本翻译策略的选择。

Project Adventure体育课程模式对大学生社会适应能力的影响

针对我国大学生社会适应能力的现状,采用文献资料调研、动态性现场实验等方法,以大学生社会适应能力提高的有效途径与方法为研究对象,对高校体育课程中运用Project Adventure体育教育模式的可行性和必要性进行了分析,指出高校体育课程中Project Adventure体育教育模式是促进大学生社会适应能力较为有效的途径与方法,并提出了将Project Adventure体育教学模式作为高校体育课程开设的思路与对策。

HEROES集成软件联机HELP子系统的设计与实现

本文在深入研究XWindow编程方法的基础上，针对HEROES（Hydri-ElasticResponseofOceanEngineeringStructuressoftwarepackage）集成软件的需要，设计并实现了集成软件的联机帮助HELP子系统。研究的重点在于：基于事件驱动方式的图形界面编程方法、超文本文件格式设计以及超文本帮助内容及图形的联机显示。HELP子系统的实现，大大改善了HEROES集成软件的可用性、可学性和有效性。

The heroes in his stories, however, hold tightly to their own principles, striving for meaning in a meaningless world.

Frederick Henry and Catherine Barkley, Two Code Heroes at Different Development Levels

Hemingway's stature as a writer was confirmed with the publication of A Farewell to Arms. Infact, Hemingway wrote a lot of war stories, but in almost all of his novels, the concept of the"Hemingway Hero"or more popularly the"code hero"is frequently elaborated and vividly exemplified. In the novel"A Farewell to Arms", Frederick Henry and Catherine Barkly are both Hemingway code characters who carry out the code very well and both show their grace under pressure in face of death, misery and disorder.Yet, an indepth study shows that the development levels of the two Hemingway code heroes are not the same.Catherine is the initi-ated, developed, and established code hero while Frederick is a developing code hero who can't be seen as a perfect one until the end of the story. He is to be initiated and tested;we observe his development under the tests.

Mountain Adventure Tourism： Effect of Personal Value Over Constraint for Its Growth： Case of Kangwon-do

The purpose of this research is to examine mountain adventure constraints in relation to personal value attachment of the mountaineering activities. ＂Mountain adventure tourism＂ encloses recreational activities which are characterized by high-risk seeking and participation constraints. However, the sector contributes significantly to the relief of isolation and the mental challenge of eradicating boredom. Selecting Kangwon-do in South Korea as a case study, this study attempts to develop a new approach to enhancing growth in mountaineering participation. Since mountaineering is a business enterprise, it can enhance its revenue and attract participation growth through personal value innovation and capitalizing on the personal value of both mountaineers and non-mountaineers. Acknowledging the presence of constraints such as risk in mountaineering participation, the researchers predict that personal value would be a neutralizer to the constraints for ＂mountain adventure tourism＂ participation. Additionally, personal value would be a pull factor for pursuing the risk in mountain adventure tourism and constraints minimization will be more effective regarding mountaineering participation, if an individual＇s personal value for the adventure is high.

Study on the Translation of Puns in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland from the Perspective of the Functional Equivalence Theory

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a world-famous masterpiece in children’s literature.The adventure stories in the novel deeply attract the child readers in different countries in the world.The use of puns in the work adds to its aesthetic value.In China,many scholars have translated it.The research topic is the application of Nida’s theory of functional equivalence in the pun translation in children’s literature work Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and the degree of equivalence in Wu Juntao’s translation.The person who does the research has read the original work and the translator Wu Juntao’s translation of this book,analyzed the translation of puns in the book,read the relevant journal articles on the theory of functional equivalence and thought about the academic views in them.On the basis of text reading,translation analysis and reference analysis,the following conclusion has been made:According to the basic points in the theory,in the work,Wu Juntao’s translation of the puns has basically achieved the equivalence between the original text and the target text in readers’responses,language style and language meaning.
