It is necessary to explore the flow characteristics and hot workability of LAHS steels during the multi-pass forging process, which is beneficial to the formulation of actual processing parameters. In the study, the multi-pass hot compression experiments of a typical LAHS steel are carried out at a wide range of deformation temperatures and strain rates. It is found that the work hardening rate of the experimental material depends on deformation parameters and deformation passes, which is ascribed to the impacts of static and dynamic softening behaviors. A new model is established to describe the flow characteristics at various deformation passes. Compared to the classical Arrhenius model and modified Zerilli and Armstrong model, the newly proposed model shows higher prediction accuracy with a confidence level of 0.98565. Furthermore, the connection between power dissipation efficiency(PDE) and deformation parameters is revealed by analyzing the microstructures. The PDE cannot be utilized to reflect the efficiency of energy dissipation for microstructure evolution during the entire deformation process, but only to assess the efficiency of energy dissipation for microstructure evolution in a specific deformation parameter state. As a result, an integrated processing map is proposed to better study the hot workability of the LAHS steel, which considers the effects of instability factor(IF), PDE, and distribution and size of grains. The optimized processing parameters for the multi-pass deformation process are the deformation parameters of 1223–1318 K and 0.01–0.08 s^(-1). Complete dynamic recrystallization occurs within the optimized processing parameters with an average grain size of 18.36–42.3 μm. It is a communication link between the prescriber and the laboratory staff. The lack of some information on request forms not only affects the drafting quality of the test and patient care, but could also make thousands of data produced by healthcare centers unusable. The aim of this study was to assess the drafting quality of request forms submitted to the Malaria and Parasitology Units at the Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire. Methods: It was a descriptive cross-sectional study to assess the drafting quality of request forms of various prescribers received at the Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire. This study was conducted at the Malaria and Parasitology Units, department of Parasitology and Mycology (Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire), from 6th December 2020 to 6th December 2021. The information on each request forms was recorded on a data collection form designed for this purpose. Each data collection form corresponds to a request forms and each test to a patient. Results: Out of a total of 1990 request forms received, the patient’s age and sex were missing on 18% and 26.8% of the tests respectively. More than half (51.80%) of request forms did not indicate the patient’s place of residence. Clinical information was not provided on 45.90% of the tests. Prescribers omitting their signatures were 51%, stamps were 50.3% and contacts were 71.2%. Only 5.4% of request forms were of good drafting quality. Providing all the required information on the forms could facilitate the use and analysis of data and samples.展开更多

To prevent the occurrence of such errors, this study aimed at assessing the level of completeness of LRFs. Methods: A retrospective analysis of laboratory request forms was conducted at the Clinical Biology Laboratory of the Kinshasa University Clinic, DR Congo, between November 2021 to May 2022. The LRFs were evaluated according to the completeness of all sections including administrative data of the patient, data of physician who ordered the test, relevant patient’s clinical data and data of the biological sample. Results: From a total of 2842 LRFs evaluated, none was fully completed with all required information. Particularly, patient’s clinical data including the medical history, provisional diagnosis and current treatment, were the most absent in 99% LRFs. However, two sections related to patient’s ID and prescribed test were informed in 100% LRFs. Conclusion: The results of this preanalytical audit can serve as an improvement opportunity focused on strengthening awareness about complete filling of LRF.展开更多

文摘Besides exhibiting excellent capabilities such as energy absorption,phase-transforming metamaterials offer a vast design space for achieving nonlinear constitutive relations. This is facilitated by switching between different patterns under deformation. However, the related inverse design problem is quite challenging, due to the lack of appropriate mathematical formulation and the convergence issue in the post-buckling analysis of intermediate designs. In this work, periodic unit cells are explicitly described by the moving morphable voids method and effectively analyzed by eliminating the degrees of freedom in void regions.Furthermore,by exploring the Pareto frontiers between error and cost,an inverse design formulation is proposed for unit cells. This formulation aims to achieve a prescribed constitutive curve and is validated through numerical examples and experimental results. The design approach presented here can be extended to the inverse design of other types of mechanical metamaterials with prescribed nonlinear effective properties.

文摘To investigate the macroscopic fatigue properties and the mesoscopic pore evolution characteristics of salt rock under cyclic loading, fatigue tests under different upper-limit stresses were carried out on salt rock, and the mesoscopic pore structures of salt rock before and after fatigue tests and under different cycle numbers were measured using CT scanning instrument.Based on the test results, the effects of the cycle number and the upper-limit stress on the evolution of cracks, pore morphology, pore number, pore volume, pore size, plane porosity, and volume porosity of salt rock were analyzed. The failure path of salt rock specimens under cyclic loading was analyzed using the distribution law of plane porosity. The damage variable of salt rock under cyclic loading was defined on basis of the variation of volume porosity with cycle number. In order to describe the fatigue deformation behavior of salt rock under cyclic loading, the nonlinear Burgers damage constitutive model was further established. The results show that the model established can better reflect the whole development process of fatigue deformation of salt rock under cyclic loading.

文摘To understand the hot compression deformation characteristics of the self-developed Al-9.3Zn-2.4Mg^(-1).1Cu alloy, the hot compression tests of Al-9.3Zn-2.4Mg^(-1).1Cu alloy were investigated by Gleeble 1500 thermo-mechanical simulator to determine the best hot processing conditions. The hot deformation temperatures were 300,350,400,and 450℃,and the strain rates were 1,0.1,0.01,and 0.003 s^(-1),respectively.Based on the experimental results, the constitutive equation and hot processing maps are established, and the corresponding strain rate and temperature-sensitive index are analyzed. The results show that Al-9.3Zn-2.4Mg^(-1).1Cu alloy has a dynamic softening trend and high strain rate sensitivity during the isothermal compression process. The hot deformation behavior can be described by an Arrhenius-type equation after strain compensation. The temperature has a negligible effect on the hot processing properties, while a low strain rate is favorable for the hot working of alloy. The processing maps and microstructure show that the optimal processing conditions were in the temperature range of 400-450℃and strain rate range of 0.003-0.005 s^(-1).
文摘Biological tests provide information on the medical analysis requested by both the patient and the prescriber. Providing all the required information on the forms could facilitate the use and analysis of data and samples.

文摘Structural planes play an important role in controlling the stability of rock engineering, and the influence of structural planes should be considered in the design and construction process of rock engineering. In this paper, mechanical properties, constitutive theory, and numerical application of structural plane are studied by a combination method of laboratory tests, theoretical derivation, and program development. The test results reveal the change laws of various mechanical parameters under different roughness and normal stress. At the pre-peak stage,a non-stationary model of shear stiffness is established, and threedimensional empirical prediction models for initial shear stiffness and residual stage roughness are proposed. The nonlinear constitutive models are established based on elasto-plastic mechanics, and the algorithms of the models are developed based on the return mapping algorithm.According to a large number of statistical analysis results, empirical prediction models are proposed for model parameters expressed by structural plane characteristic parameters. Finally, the discrete element method(DEM)is chosen to embed the constitutive models for practical application. The running programs of the constitutive models have been compiled into the discrete element model library. The comparison results between the proposed model and the Mohr-Coulomb slip model show that the proposed model can better describe nonlinear changes at different stages, and the predicted shear strength, peak strain and shear stiffness are closer to the test results. The research results of the paper are conducive to the accurate evaluation of structural plane in rock engineering.

文摘In this research,we present the pure open multi-processing(OpenMP),pure message passing interface(MPI),and hybrid MPI/OpenMP parallel solvers within the dynamic explicit central difference algorithm for the coining process to address the challenge of capturing fine relief features of approximately 50 microns.Achieving such precision demands the utilization of at least 7 million tetrahedron elements, surpassing the capabilities of traditional serial programs previously developed. To mitigate data races when calculating internal forces, intermediate arrays are introduced within the OpenMP directive. This helps ensure proper synchronization and avoid conflicts during parallel execution.Additionally,in the MPI implementation, the coins are partitioned into the desired number of regions. This division allows for efficient distribution of computational tasks across multiple processes.Numerical simulation examples are conducted to compare the three solvers with serial programs, evaluating correctness, acceleration ratio, and parallel efficiency. The results reveal a relative error of approximately 0.3%in forming force among the parallel and serial solvers, while the predicted insufficient material zones align with experimental observations.Additionally, speedup ratio and parallel efficiency are assessed for the coining process simulation. The pureMPI parallel solver achieves a maximum acceleration of 9.5 on a single computer(utilizing 12 cores)and the hybrid solver exhibits a speedup ratio of 136 in a cluster(using 6 compute nodes and 12 cores per compute node),showing the strong scalability of the hybrid MPI/OpenMP programming model. This approach effectively meets the simulation requirements for commemorative coins with intricate relief patterns.

文摘Soil nonlinear behavior displays noticeable effects on the site seismic response. This study proposes a new functional expression of the skeleton curve to replace the hyperbolic skeleton curve.By integrating shear modulus and combining the dynamic skeleton curve and the damping degradation coefficient, the constitutive equation of the logarithmic dynamic skeleton can be obtained, which considers the damping effect in a soil dynamics problem.Based on the finite difference method and the multi-transmitting boundary condition,a 1D site seismic response analysis program called Soilresp1D has been developed herein and used to analyze the time-domain seismic response in three types of sites. At the same time, this study also provides numerical simulation results based on the hyperbolic constitutive model and the equivalent linear method. The results verify the rationality of the new soil dynamic constitutive model. It can analyze the mucky soil site nonlinear seismic response, reflecting the deformation characteristics and damping effect of the silty soil. The hysteresis loop area is more extensive, and the residual strain is evident.

文摘A three-scale constitutive model for unsaturated granular materials based on thermodynamic theory is presented. The three-scale yield locus, derived from the explicit yield criterion for solid matrix,is developed from a series of discrete interparticle contact planes. The three-scale yield locus is sensitive to porosity changes;therefore,it is reinterpreted as a corresponding constitutive model without phenomenological parameters.Furthermore,a water retention curve is proposed based on special pore morphology and experimental observations. The features of the partially saturated granular materials are well captured by the model.Under wetting and isotropic compression, volumetric compaction occurs, and the degree of saturation increases. Moreover, the higher the matric suction, the greater the strength, and the smaller the volumetric compaction.Compared with the phenomenological Barcelona basic model, the proposed three-scale constitutive model has fewer parameters;virtually all parameters have clear physical meanings.
文摘Background: The inadequacy in the completeness of the Laboratory Request Form (LRF) has been reported as one of the major sources of errors during the pre-analytical step of laboratory analysis. Conclusion: The results of this preanalytical audit can serve as an improvement opportunity focused on strengthening awareness about complete filling of LRF.

文摘Aluminum alloy thin-walled structures are widely used in the automotive industry due to their advantages related to light weight and crashworthiness. They can be produced at room temperature by the electrohydraulic forming process. In the present study, the influence of the related parameters on the forming quality of a 6063 aluminum alloy sinusoidal corrugation tube has been assessed. In particular, the orthogonal experimental design(OED)and central composite design(CCD)methods have been used.Through the range analysis and variance analysis of the experimental data, the influence degree of wire diameter(WD)and discharge energy(DE)on the forming quality was determined.Multiple regression analysis was performed using the response surface methodology.A prediction model for the attaching-die state coefficient was established accordingly. The following optimal arrangement of parameters was obtained(WD=0.759 mm,DE=2.926 kJ).The attaching-die state coefficient reached the peak value of 0.001.Better optimized wire diameter and discharge energy for a better attaching-die state could be screened by CCD compared with OED.The response surface method in CCD was more suitable for the design and optimization of the considered process parameters.

文摘The tensile-shear interactive damage(TSID)model is a novel and powerful constitutive model for rock-like materials. This study proposes a methodology to calibrate the TSID model parameters to simulate sandstone. The basic parameters of sandstone are determined through a series of static and dynamic tests, including uniaxial compression,Brazilian disc, triaxial compression under varying confining pressures, hydrostatic compression, and dynamic compression and tensile tests with a split Hopkinson pressure bar.Based on the sandstone test results from this study and previous research,a step-by-step procedure for parameter calibration is outlined, which accounts for the categories of the strength surface, equation of state(EOS),strain rate effect, and damage. The calibrated parameters are verified through numerical tests that correspond to the experimental loading conditions.Consistency between numerical results and experimental data indicates the precision and reliability of the calibrated parameters. The methodology presented in this study is scientifically sound, straightforward, and essential for improving the TSID model.Furthermore,it has the potential to contribute to other rock constitutive models, particularly new user-defined models.

文摘Three-dimensional(3D)printing technology has been widely used to create artificial rock samples in rock mechanics. While 3D printing can create complex fractures, the material still lacks sufficient similarity to natural rock.Extrusion free forming(EFF)is a 3D printing technique that uses clay as the printing material and cures the specimens through high-temperature sintering. In this study,we attempted to use the EFF technology to fabricate artificial rock specimens. The results show the physico-mechanical properties of the specimens are significantly affected by the sintering temperature, while the nozzle diameter and layer thickness also have a certain impact. The specimens are primarily composed of SiO_(2),with mineral compositions similar to that of natural rocks. The density, uniaxial compressive strength(UCS),elastic modulus, and tensile strength of the printed specimens fall in the range of 1.65–2.54 g/cm3,16.46–50.49 MPa,2.17–13.35 GPa,and 0.82–17.18 MPa,respectively. It is capable of simulating different types of rocks, especially mudstone, sandstone, limestone, and gneiss. However, the simulation of hard rocks with UCS exceeding 50 MPa still requires validation.
