The Polish SMEs as Intelligent Organizations in an Era of Digital Transformation

The impact that the digital transformation(DT)has on businesses,suppliers,and other third parties has increased significantly now.Digital transformation means improving traditional manufacturing processes with the help of digital technologies.The goal of digital transformation is to increase production efficiency and reduce costs,improve the quality of goods and services produced,and quickly adapt to changes in the global market.The state of industrial production is constantly changing due to the instability of global,economic and political decisions,so the adoption and expansion of digital solutions based on Industry 4.0,the Internet of things,machine learning,and other technologies of the future is accelerating.With the help of these technologies,companies are trying to change approaches and find new ways to solve problems.In this article the author analyzed the phenomenon of a complex system of knowledge management with tools as SMAC,AI,IoT and Edge computing in intelligent organizations as a part of intelligent economy.The arguments are illustrated with the results of own research conducted by the author in 2021-2022 in selected SMEs from the Polish Wielkopolska Province and their reference to the general development trends in this area.

A digital twins enabled underwater intelligent internet vehicle path planning system via reinforcement learning and edge computing

The Autonomous Underwater Glider(AUG)is a kind of prevailing underwater intelligent internet vehicle and occupies a dominant position in industrial applications,in which path planning is an essential problem.Due to the complexity and variability of the ocean,accurate environment modeling and flexible path planning algorithms are pivotal challenges.The traditional models mainly utilize mathematical functions,which are not complete and reliable.Most existing path planning algorithms depend on the environment and lack flexibility.To overcome these challenges,we propose a path planning system for underwater intelligent internet vehicles.It applies digital twins and sensor data to map the real ocean environment to a virtual digital space,which provides a comprehensive and reliable environment for path simulation.We design a value-based reinforcement learning path planning algorithm and explore the optimal network structure parameters.The path simulation is controlled by a closed-loop model integrated into the terminal vehicle through edge computing.The integration of state input enriches the learning of neural networks and helps to improve generalization and flexibility.The task-related reward function promotes the rapid convergence of the training.The experimental results prove that our reinforcement learning based path planning algorithm has great flexibility and can effectively adapt to a variety of different ocean conditions.

Research on Pathways of How Digital Transformation Affects the Business Performance of MEEC Enterprises in Chengdu

This paper aims to examine the impact of digital transformations on the business performance of the meetings,expositions,events,and conventions(MEEC)industry in Chengdu by conducting an empirical analysis of 68 MEEC enterprises in the city.The study employed the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)method to explore the pathways and factors involved.Drawing on the theory of synergetics,nine condition variables were carefully selected from four dimensions:digital technologies,digital strategy,digital infrastructure,and digital innovation.The findings revealed that digital transformations were an intricate systematic process,whereby a single factor alone did not serve as a necessary condition for MEEC enterprises to achieve high business performance.The analysis identified five distinct pathways that would lead to high performance,which can be categorized into three distinct models:the“organization-human resources”dominated model,the“human resources-infrastructure”driven model,and the multi-factor coordination model.The analysis also identified two pathways that would result in low performance,categorized as the“basic condition absent”model.Notably,there was substantial heterogeneity observed in the configurational pathways in terms of the magnitude of the impact of digital transformation on business performance across MEEC enterprises of different sizes.This paper suggests that the government should assume the role of a platform,providing policy and financial support to MEEC enterprises to help guide them through the process of digital transformation and that MEEC enterprises themselves should seize the opportunities arising from digital transformation to strengthen their digital infrastructure construction,human resources development,and innovation in brand building.This study presents empirical evidence that contributes to the understanding of the transformation process of MEEC enterprises within the digital economy era,as well as valuable insights into understanding the channels and internal conditions involved in digital transformations.

Research on digital twin technology and its application in intelligent operation and maintenance of highspeed railway infrastructure

Purpose–This paper analyzes the application of digital twin technology in the field of intelligent operation and maintenance of high-speed railway infrastructure from the perspective of top-level design.Design/methodology/approach–This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the definition,connotations,characteristics and key technologies of digital twin technology.It also conducts a thorough analysis of the current state of digital twin applications,with a particular focus on the overall requirements for intelligent operation and maintenance of high-speed railway infrastructure.Using the Jinan Yellow River Bridge on the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway as a case study,the paper details the construction process of the twin system from the perspectives of system architecture,theoretical definition,model construction and platform design.Findings–Digital twin technology can play an important role in the whole life cycle management,fault prediction and condition monitoring in the field of high-speed rail operation and maintenance.Digital twin technology is of great significance to improve the intelligent level of high-speed railway operation and management.Originality/value–This paper systematically summarizes the main components of digital twin railway.The general framework of the digital twin bridge is given,and its application in the field of intelligent operation and maintenance is prospected.

The Mediating Effect of Digital Transformation on the Link Between Executive Overconfidence and Corporate Green Innovation

Green technological innovation is crucial for the manufacturing industry’s green transformation and sustainable development.This study examines the impact of executive overconfidence on corporate green innovation,focusing on the internal drivers of corporate innovation and using a sample of Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed manufacturing companies from 2013 to 2020.We further examine the mediating role of digital transformation and the moderating role of external attention.The findings indicate that executive overconfidence promotes corporate green technological innovation.Overconfident executives enhance green innovation by accelerating digital transformation.Moreover,external attention from analysts and media positively moderates the relationship between executive overconfidence and corporate green innovation.Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the positive impact of executive overconfidence on green innovation is more significant in non-state-owned enterprises,high-tech firms,and enterprises with lower pollution levels.

Intelligent Transformation: General Intelligence Theory

This paper aims to formalize a general definition of intelligence beyond human intelligence. We accomplish this by re-imagining the concept of equality as a fundamental abstraction for relation. We discover that the concept of equality = limits the sensitivity of our mathematics to abstract relationships. We propose a new relation principle that does not rely on the concept of equality but is consistent with existing mathematical abstractions. In essence, this paper proposes a conceptual framework for general interaction and argues that this framework is also an abstraction that satisfies the definition of Intelligence. Hence, we define intelligence as a formalization of generality, represented by the abstraction ∆∞Ο, where each symbol represents the concepts infinitesimal, infinite, and finite respectively. In essence, this paper proposes a General Language Model (GLM), where the abstraction ∆∞Ο represents the foundational relationship of the model. This relation is colloquially termed “The theory of everything”.

Technological Innovation and Development of the Publishing Industry: The Challenging Digital Transformation of Publishing Houses in Cameroon

In the digital age, performance-oriented publishing houses utilize digital tools to optimize their editorial activities. This optimization affects both editorial practices and products in terms of content and form. These products, now accessible through various media, bring significant changes, while the editorial function undergoes a metamorphosis due to digital exposure. In Cameroon, the book sector is predominantly focused on school textbooks, a legacy from the colonial period. This study investigates the impact of technological innovation on Cameroonian publishing by examining the processes of content selection, legitimization, and dissemination in the digital age. Using the sociology of technology as a framework, we hypothesize an interrelationship between the dominance of textbook publishing and the delayed digital transformation of publishing houses in Cameroon. To explore this hypothesis, we conducted direct observations, interviews with key industry stakeholders, and an extensive analysis of digital adoption metrics within the publishing sector. Our research reveals that the historical focus on educational publishing has created structural and cultural barriers to embracing digital innovations. Moreover, limited infrastructure and a lack of digital literacy among publishing professionals further hinder the transition. Despite these challenges, there are emerging opportunities for digital transformation, particularly in diversifying content and expanding access through digital platforms. Our findings indicate that a strategic shift towards embracing digital tools and improving infrastructure could significantly enhance the efficiency and reach of Cameroonian publishing houses. By addressing the specific challenges identified in our study, the industry can leverage digital technologies to foster a more inclusive, dynamic, and resilient publishing environment. This study provides a detailed examination of the specificities of digital transformation in Cameroonian publishing, offering insights for policymakers and industry stakeholders aiming to promote technological innovation in the sector.

Exploration of the Path of Intelligent Development of Continuing Education in the Digital Age

With the rapid development of big data and intelligent technology,opportunities and challenges coexist in continuing education work,and the integration of continuing education and intelligent education is imperative.Therefore,China’s continuing education should strengthen the construction of the education system,make long-term plans,strengthen overall management in system construction,promote the transformation of continuing education models,and accelerate the modernization process of education.Based on this,this article analyzes and studies the path of intelligent development of continuing education in the digital era,explores its inevitability,analyzes the main characteristics of intelligent continuing education,explores the problems of intelligent development of continuing education,and proposes strategies for the intelligent development of continuing education.

Research on the Impact of Digital Transformation on the Performance of Manufacturing Enterprises

To address the challenges faced by manufacturing enterprises in digital transformation,this paper analyzes the relationship between digital transformation and enterprise performance.Using panel data from domestic A-share-listed manufacturing enterprises from 2012 to 2022,two hypotheses were proposed.The analysis and verification revealed that digital transformation in manufacturing enterprises can enhance performance and reduce costs.Based on the impact of digital transformation on manufacturing enterprise performance,optimization suggestions are proposed to guide future digital transformation and performance improvement efforts in these enterprises.

Objective To study the pharmaceutical distribution industry against the background of new infrastructure construction since it is vital to the health and life of the public,and to offer some suggestions to further improve the industry quality and achieve industry upgrading.Methods The national strategies for new infrastructure as well as the underlying logic for enterprise digital transformation were analyzed to provide the outlook on the digital transformation trend of the pharmaceutical distribution industry.Results and Conclusion In the future,the pharmaceutical distribution industry shall transform the pattern,channel,management and control,and experience in the entire business chain in a digital way by focusing on connection efficiency,data efficiency and decision-making efficiency.

Digital Transformation:The Impact of e-CNY on Securities Institutions and Financial Systems in China

In recent years,the rapid advancement of emerging technologies such as big data,blockchain,and artificial intelligence has accelerated the transformation of currencies,shifting from materialization towards digitization and electronization.The e-CNY stands out as a prime example of China’s pioneering digital financial innovation globally.Governed by the central bank,it embodies the national agenda.As the e-CNY’s application field and reach expand,its relationship with the financial market grows increasingly intimate.As a significant participant in China’s financial landscape and a proactive responder to national policies,the securities industry is profoundly influenced by the e-CNY across various domains.Therefore,this paper undertakes a theoretical analysis of the e-CNY’s implementation within securities institutions,concluding that it will usher in a new paradigm for the entire financial system.

Research on the Impact of Digital Transformation on the Business Performance of Commercial Banks

Nowadays,with the development of the digital economy,commercial banks are actively conducting digital transformation.Studying the impact of the digital transformation of commercial banks on their operating performance can help commercial banks form a stronger core competitiveness and promote high-quality financial development.Based on the above background,this article first describes the status and development of digital transformation and development of commercial banks,and secondly analyzes whether Chinese commercial banks’digital transformation is conducive to improving their operating performance.Thirdly,by selecting the data of the listed commercial banks in the ten years of 2012–2022,this article obtains the empirical testing of the digital transformation on different property rights.Finally,the higher the level of digitalization,the higher the digital level,the more significantly promotes the performance of commercial banks.Finally,based on the above analysis,this article puts forward feasibility opinions on commercial banks and related regulators.

With the advancement of technology,exploring the impact of digital transformation on vocational education English teaching has become crucial.This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of digital transformation in English teaching in vocational education in China by exploring students’and teachers’attitudes,views,and experiences on the use of digital technology in English teaching.This study employed a mixed method of qualitative and quantitative analysis.The research results indicate that digital transformation has had a positive impact on vocational education English teaching,as it enhances the teaching process,promotes communication and collaboration,and increases students’enthusiasm and participation.However,implementing digital transformation in vocational education English teaching also poses challenges,including a lack of resources,infrastructure,and training.This study provides an in-depth understanding of the advantages and challenges of digital transformation in vocational education English teaching and proposes strategies to improve the implementation of digital technology in this context.

Digital Transformation and Corporate Financial Risk:Evidence from Listed Companies in

As a core issue in enterprise operation management,corporate financial risk is directly related to the survival and development of enterprises,and digital transformation has brought new challenges to the control of corporate financial risk.Based on the data of The Shanghai Stock Exchange(SSE)and Shenzhen Stock Exchange(SZSE)from 2009 to 2022,this paper analyzes the impact of digital transformation on corporate financial risk and the impact mechanism.The empirical study finds that digital transformation significantly increases the financial risk of enterprises,and shows differences among different regions,different risk factors,and enterprise natures,and substantially increases the corporate financial risk in the East and West,non-state-owned enterprises,high-risk and low-risk enterprises.The mechanism analysis found that digital transformation would affect the financial risk of enterprises by increasing their R&D investment and reducing their debt level.The conclusion improves insights and guidance for analyzing and managing financial risks in enterprises under digital transformation.
