This study proposes a method for uniformly revolving swarm robots to entrap multiple targets,which is based on a gene regulatory network,an adaptive decision mechanism,and an improved Vicsek-model.Using the gene regul...This study proposes a method for uniformly revolving swarm robots to entrap multiple targets,which is based on a gene regulatory network,an adaptive decision mechanism,and an improved Vicsek-model.Using the gene regulatory network method,the robots can generate entrapping patterns according to the environmental input,including the positions of the targets and obstacles.Next,an adaptive decision mechanism is proposed,allowing each robot to choose the most well-adapted capture point on the pattern,based on its environment.The robots employ an improved Vicsek-model to maneuver to the planned capture point smoothly,without colliding with other robots or obstacles.The proposed decision mechanism,combined with the improved Vicsek-model,can form a uniform entrapment shape and create a revolving effect around targets while entrapping them.This study also enables swarm robots,with an adaptive pattern formation,to entrap multiple targets in complex environments.Swarm robots can be deployed in the military field of unmanned aerial vehicles’(UAVs)entrapping multiple targets.Simulation experiments demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the proposed gene regulatory network method.展开更多

The frequent rebellions in Northern Manchuria during the Third Revolutionary War occurred in the special context of the struggle between the Kuomintang(KMT)and the Communist Party of China(CPC)for Northeast China afte...The frequent rebellions in Northern Manchuria during the Third Revolutionary War occurred in the special context of the struggle between the Kuomintang(KMT)and the Communist Party of China(CPC)for Northeast China after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.The rebellion reached its peak during the KMTs attack on Northeast China,followed by a second wave of rebellion after the defeat in the Defensive Battle of Siping.It tended to disappear after the downfall of the Jiang Pengfei Group.In addition to the blind recruitment of the CPC in traditional narratives,the instigation of the KMT,the traditional mutiny of the old army,the limitations of the early work of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army,the early activities of the KMT,and the regional conflicts between the local and foreign forces are also important reasons for the concentration of rebellions.展开更多

And Loyalty Principle has been warmly praised as well as severely criticized by scholars in the field of...In recent 30 years, some Chinese scholars have focused their researches on Nord's Function plus Loyalty Theory. And Loyalty Principle has been warmly praised as well as severely criticized by scholars in the field of translation. In this paper, the author first states the definition, connotation, rationalities and limitations of this principle and introduces the main remarks it has received in western countries. Then, three positive remarks from BIAN Jian-hua, CHEN Xiao-wei and WU Wen-an and three negative ones from ZHU Jian-ping, ZHANG Nan-feng and ZHANG Mei-fang are spread out. Finally, the author respectively brings forth her own different point of view on the three negative remarks from the above three. This paper attempts to reassure the rationalities, practical value and great significance of Nord's Loyalty Principle and encourage people to treat it in an objective way.展开更多
Hedging is a communication strategy frequently used by the spokespersons at the press conference.This thesis intends to find out the ideologies hidden behind those hedges under the guidance of Fairclough’s three-dime...Hedging is a communication strategy frequently used by the spokespersons at the press conference.This thesis intends to find out the ideologies hidden behind those hedges under the guidance of Fairclough’s three-dimensional model.As a research method of linguistics,critical discourse analysis(CDA)aims to reveal the the relationship among language,power and ideology hidden behind the language.This thesis adopts Prince’classification criteria of hedges to identify and count the different types of hedges in the research data selected from Chinese and American government websites.The analysis is conducted at the following three steps:description,interpretation and explanation.The first stage is to recognize and count the hedges in two languages,then to find their similarities and differences and the last step is to find possible reasons for those similarities and differences and the ideologies behind the hedges.Analysis results show that differences in culture values and diplomatic ideology contribute to the different ideologies.展开更多

Two counterexamples are given to show that two iuequalities given by Godunov do not hold for all rational numbers γ∈(1, 3]. It seems that the approach by Godunov to obtain the forementioned bounds may not be possible.展开更多

Pragmatic vagueness is not only a universal phenomenon in daily life,but also an indispensable communicative strategy,especially in press conferences.This article analyzes pragmatic vagueness in Chinese Spokespersons...Pragmatic vagueness is not only a universal phenomenon in daily life,but also an indispensable communicative strategy,especially in press conferences.This article analyzes pragmatic vagueness in Chinese Spokespersons’four remarks from the perspective of Grice’s Cooperative Principle.The purpose of the article is to analyze the application of pragmatic vagueness in the remarks of Chinese spokespersons from the perspective of the Cooperative Principle and its pragmatic functions.The results show that pragmatic vagueness was an international communicative strategy in the remarks of Chinese spokespersons and through the use of pragmatic vagueness,the spokespersons violated the maxims of the Cooperative Principle,especially quantity maxim and manner maxim,in order to achieve different pragmatic functions:withholding information,being flexible,avoiding conflicts and safeguarding national interests.These findings have some implications for people to understand the application and functions of pragmatic vagueness in the remarks of Chinese spokespersons.展开更多

He has also made fundamental contributions on the mathematical theory of the equations of thermomechanics as it pertains in modeling and analysis of materials with memory, thermoelasticity, and thermoviscoelasticity.
