Architectural Educational Experience in Kansei

Since the earliest Kansei works saw the light more than 30 years ago, the Kansei has boomed exponentially. Because of many and various achieved business successes by different working groups as well as the methodology geographical dispersion throughout the world. Multi-faceted Kansei has been developed for the last 20 years in a very wide and varied way. The Kansei has experienced as if talking of a tree, a branching experience still going on nowadays. Today we can speak from Kansei in theory, Kansei emotion measurement, Kansei engineering, Kansei information, Kansei education, Kansei design to Kansei in practice and many other disciplines. Three years ago, our team started the experience to introduce Kansei in the educational atmosphere, applying it to the final degree projects. In the School of Building Engineering at the Universitat Polit^cnica de Valencia and inside its final degree project proposal, a workshop on Kansei engineering was offered. During these years at the eighth semester of the building engineer degree, students have been working for almost five months under the supervision of a team of teachers on their final project till the final public oral defense was made in front of a committee. During these years, we have worked with an average of 10 students per year. Some have successfully completed their final projects, others have not achieved the minimum required. The article aims to explain the experience during the last three years the team has accumulated in Kansei education, and can be of interest for every teacher or lecturer. 展开更多

Female education is an indispensable part of educational practice and research.In recent years,along with the development of both the women’s liberation movement and the expansion of the practice of female education,Chinese academic circles have become increasingly concerned with female education.Of these concerns,methodological innovation can be said to have achieved a great breakthrough in recent years.With the rise and development of“narrative research”in the field of education in China,new vitality has been breathed into the sphere of female educational research.Starting from the perspective of either historical studies or reality,researchers have made profound discoveries about the female educational experience,revealing Chinese women’s experiences in education,their stories of development,and the problems they have faced.Moreover,researchers have reviewed not only the freedom and restrictions that education brings to women,but also the influence exerted by Chinese education,cultural conventions,and social economic conditions on female progress and living circumstances.This article is mainly a comprehensive literary review of research by Chinese scholars who have used narrative research in their studies of female education. 展开更多

Purpose:The purpose of this article is to summarize and reflect Chinese theoretical research on moral education in the context of globalization and value pluralism since 2000 and to propose possible directions for the future research.Design/Approach/Methods:The research methods in this article are primarily literature review.Those papers which met the following criteria were selected and included in this review:(1)Papers published from 2000 to 2014 were included if they were cited by at least one other published article and(2)papers published from 2015 to 2017 were included if they were presented in a core research journal.Based on that,speculative thinking and critical thinking are also embodied in this research.Findings:Based on the features of“a man of virtue,”the article identifies the four dimensions that have influenced Chinese thinking about moral education:(1)Kantian and Enlightenment philosophy,(2)emotion and life experience,(3)social rights,and(4)the culture-value dimension.The four dimensions ofmoral education theory are related and complement,rather than contradict,eachother.The author argues that the research scopes underlying current moral education theories are fairly narrow.Amore comprehensive,interdisciplinary approach is needed to improve theoretical research and to enhance the effectiveness of moral education practice in schools and universities.Originality/Value:The article provides a latest overview and critical insights to consolidate the foundation of moral education in an era of societal transformation by comparing moral education research between China and the West and proposing realizing a deep integration between theory and practice. 展开更多

The objective is to research this temporary residency for researchers through the meanings that characterize it as a Brazilian territory in Paris and through the very belonging to the category elite as a peculiarity of its residents. The author wish to analyze the international circulation of students and researchers that live there and have an educational experience of multiple dimensions as experiences of deterritorialization of identities and its consequences in a housing space which is at the same time in public and private. Based on documental analysis and ethnographic fieldwork, the paper presents some aspects of the history and the everyday life of the Maison du Bresil and Paris' Cite Internationale Universitaire. Also, it intends to show how the meanings of Brazilianness are used as support for the identity crisis lived by the members of a supposed Brazilian elite in Paris, as it analyzes the particularities of the mediations established by the residents of the Maison du Bresil, in the formation and international insertion of some researchers. 展开更多
