Continuing to feature a high standard and a high level, this Summit has invited senior - level government officials and leading figures, CEOs and other senior executives from the maritime and other related industries. Mr. Li Shenglin, Minister of Ministry of Communications of P. R. China and Mr. Xu Zongheng, Mayor of Shenzhen, Dr. Stephen Ladyman, MP, Secretary of State for Transport,addressed the opening ceremony. About 700 delegates of high positions from global famous shipping companies or relevant industries attend the summit. Centered around the topic of “Managing Change”, the Summit focuses on the changing pattern of world trade and shipping, especially the development of BRICs -Brazil, Russia, India and China and their effects on the world shipping industry, and discuss the strategies to manage such changes.
