Image fusion is performed between one band of multi-spectral image and two bands of hyperspectral image to produce fused image with the same spatial resolution as source multi-spectral image and the same spectral resolution as source hyperspeetral image. According to the characteristics and 3-Dimensional (3-D) feature analysis of multi-spectral and hyperspectral image data volume, the new fusion approach using 3-D wavelet based method is proposed. This approach is composed of four major procedures: Spatial and spectral resampling, 3-D wavelet transform, wavelet coefficient integration and 3-D inverse wavelet transform. Especially, a novel method, Ratio Image Based Spectral Resampling (RIBSR)method, is proposed to accomplish data resampling in spectral domain by utilizing the property of ratio image. And a new fusion rule, Average and Substitution (A&S) rule, is employed as the fusion rule to accomplish wavelet coefficient integration. Experimental results illustrate that the fusion approach using 3-D wavelet transform can utilize both spatial and spectral characteristics of source images more adequately and produce fused image with higher quality and fewer artifacts than fusion approach using 2-D wavelet transform. It is also revealed that RIBSR method is capable of interpolating the missing data more effectively and correctly, and A&S rule can integrate coefficients of source images in 3-D wavelet domain to preserve both spatial and spectral features of source images more properly. 展开更多

The present authors conducted embolization of the right hepatic artery one day before an operation for a huge hemangioma accompanied with symptoms and confirmed a decrease in its size. The authors performed a right trisegmentectomy through a J-shape incision, using a thoracoabdominal approach, and safely removed a giant hemangioma of 32.0 cm × 26.5 cm × 8.0 cm in size and 2300 g in weight. Even for inexperienced surgeons, a J-shape incision with a thoracoabdominal approach is considered a safe and useful method when right-side hepatectomy is required for a large mass in the right liver. 展开更多

The degree of erosion is prone to topography,precipitation,river and human activity. The freeze-thaw erosion mainly distributes in the northwest of the Three-River Headwaters region. After analyzing the reasons for coal mine accidents and the current management methods, effective actions for the implementation of safety management were put forward by carrying out the whole process confirmation management. The ba- sic content and the five implementation steps were described, and the implementation method and the program of every step were introduced. Some rules for the implementation of the whole process confirmation management in coal mine safety pro- duction were explained, such as during the process of preproduction, before descent, descent, after descent, walking in the roadway, post-operation, shift, and hoisting after work. The results show that the guardians and the executors should both con- firm the implementation, which can improve the workers' attention and self-awareness to avoid errors in detail and reduce the "three violations" phenomenon. To ensure the effect of the whole process confirmation management, relevant departments should designate a person-in-charge in the specific work in all stages, make a work plan, and strengthen the internal evaluation. 展开更多

Experiments were conducted in a U-shaped open-channel flume with the intention of investigating the bursting phenomena in the meander channel. The experimental results of the secondary flow fields and the Reynolds shear stress distributions show that the velocity and velocity fluctuation in the transverse direction are not negligible. Moreover, the bursting process is investigated using the three-dimensional quadrant analysis, which is more accurate than using the traditional two-dimensional quadrant analysis for the meandering channel. It is obtained from the experimental results that the internal group of events occurs more frequently than the external group, particularly the internal ejection and internal sweep events. In addition, the transition probabilities of the movements, which are defined as the changes of events from the current situation to the next situation in a time series, show that the stable organizations of events are the most possible movements, whereas the cross organizations of events have the least possible movements. 展开更多

LCM and 3D images are used to detect the DNA/RNA ratio and changes in the 3D structure of HepG-2 when treated with different dosages of sudan Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ. The DNA/RNA ratio of the control group is 1. 223 2 ±0. 084 4, while the fluorescence intensity of DNA in HepG-2 treated with sudan Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ is markedly greater than that of RNA, with the low-dosage group showing significant effect (P 〈 0. 01 ), yielding DNA/RNA ratios of 1. 609 6 ±0. 199 0, 1. 445 5 ±0. 163 3, 1. 708 1 ±0. 109 0 respectively; 3D images show that DNA fluorescence in HepG-2 is mostly concentrated in the nuclear region, and is denser and stronger than RNA fluorescence. The DNA/RNA ratio of a treated group increases after being treated with different dosages of sudan, but it declines with increasing dosage, and within a certain dosage range, sudan Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ are shown to promote the growth of HepG-2. 展开更多

The distinct characteristic of the resources in CADAL is that it not only contains one million digital books of different languages, but also contains Terabyte level multimedia resources (image, video, and so on), which are utilized for education and research purposes. So, in the Portal to CADAL, both the traditional services of browsing and searching of digital books, and the services of quickly retrieving and structurally browsing of multimedia documents should be provided. In addition, the services of visual presentation of retrieved results are required too. Based on 3D-binDCT, a novel video coding algorithm without motion estimation/compensation is proposed. It uses the 3D-binDCT to exploit spatial or temporal redundancy. The computation of binDOT only needs shift and addition operations, thus the computational complexity is minimized. DO coefficient prediction, modified scan mode and arithmetic coding techniques are also adopted. Extensive simulation results show that the proposed coding scheme provides higher coding efficiency and improves visual aualitv, and it is easy to be realized by software and hardware. 展开更多

In this paper a novel 3D model retrieval method that employs multi-level spherical moment analysis and relies on voxelization and spherical mapping of the 3D models is proposed. For a given polygon-soup 3D model, first a pose normalization step is done to align the model into a canonical coordinate frame so as to define the shape representation with respect to this orientation. Afterward we rasterize its exterior surface into cubical voxel grids, then a series of homocentric spheres with their center superposing the center of the voxel grids cut the voxel grids into several spherical images. Finally moments belonging to each sphere are computed and the moments of all spheres constitute the descriptor of the model. Experiments showed that Euclidean distance based on this kind of feature vector can distinguish different 3D models well and that the 3D model retrieval system based on this arithmetic yields satisfactory performance. 展开更多
