This paper provides a detailed introduction to and analysis of the course of China's technological innovation in liquid hydrogen/liquid oxygen(LH2/LOX)rocket engines from a historical point of view.It starts with ...This paper provides a detailed introduction to and analysis of the course of China's technological innovation in liquid hydrogen/liquid oxygen(LH2/LOX)rocket engines from a historical point of view.It starts with the investigation of LH2/LOX rocket engines by relevant departments of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the 1960s and their preliminary achievements.Then,the policy decision concerning LH2/LOX engine development,the project approval of the Long March-3(Chang Zheng-3,CZ-3)rocket,and the process of developing LH2/LOX engines are analyzed in detail,followed by an introduction to and summary of the development situation and technical innovation characteristics of China's LH2/LOX engines as they grew from 4 tons to 8 tons,and finally to 50 tons.Finally,the paper briefly analyzes the innovation experience connected with China's LH2/LOX engines.展开更多

Xu Wei was a painter with a spirit of the reform and innovatio...In the late Ming Dynasty, the society was turbulent, and it was also the important turning stage in the history of the development of China's literature. Xu Wei was a painter with a spirit of the reform and innovation in the late Ming Dynasty, and his painting style pioneered the precedent of the Chinese freehand bmshwork. In his creation of the paintings and the painting theories, he gave the innovative development to the theories of the traditional Chinese paintings and the freehand brushwork in this period in our country, and also promoted the further formation of the freehand flower and bird painting styles. Xu Wei's t^eehand flowers and birds combined the strengths of each school, and in the painting style, he was bold and unconstrained, and the pen and ink was coherent, and the form and the spirit were assistant and bleeding. The pen and ink all embodied the wonderful skill of the Chinese traditional paintings, and boldly integrated the wild cursive of the calligraphy in the paintings. This approach was the innovation of the techniques of the Chinese traditional paintings and the promotion of the thinking. The author of this article will begin the research on the relevant contents of the artistic achievements and the influences of the freehand flower and bird paintings by Xu Wei.展开更多
Tourism-oriented revitalization of historic districts has been identified as a form of sustainability which is believed to contribute to both conservation and development.Comprehensive assessments of the effects of su...Tourism-oriented revitalization of historic districts has been identified as a form of sustainability which is believed to contribute to both conservation and development.Comprehensive assessments of the effects of such tourism-oriented revitalizations in historic districts are thus a great challenge,and are needed to support sustainable development and management efforts.In this study criteria and indicators were identified by using the AHP method with experts scoring four aspects on two levels.We assess a case in China using this system and outputs indicated infrastructure and environment performed best,while the score for residents’living condition and participation was the lowest.Finally,we offer some suggestions to improve the relatively poor status in order to assist historic districts in achieving sustained revitalization.展开更多
Advanced Chinese culture today has three interconnected requirements: a) it is an organic component of today's advanced world culture; b) it critically absorbs all the best elements of foreign cultures in an organ...Advanced Chinese culture today has three interconnected requirements: a) it is an organic component of today's advanced world culture; b) it critically absorbs all the best elements of foreign cultures in an organic combination with the best elements of traditional Chinese culture; and c) it transcends the argument over "modernism" and "post-modernism." From a world- historical perspective, all other necessary features of advanced culture in contemporary China represent the logical unfolding of these three requirements. A full and correct grasp of the three elements constituting the world-historicality of this advanced culture is of important methodological significance in clarifying the world-historical mode of the construction of contemporary Chinese culture and the path to cultural innovation.展开更多
