A 305 (2002) 12] is improved via two seemingly different methods (i.e., the usual aneilla method and the so-called Kraus method), respectively. The essence of the improvements is to fetch a part from the residues so that the success probability is accordingly increased. The two improved versions and a similar protocol proposed by Li et al. [Phys. Rev. A 61 (2000) 034301] are compared mutually and discussed. It is found that they are equally efficient and can reach the success probability threshold determined by the inherent entanglement of the quantum channel.展开更多

The shrewd and sanguinary Monster who realized these violent murders called himself "Jack the Ripper", signing with his "trade name" the letters he sent to the Central News Agency and through the press he soon became a myth, the most famous "serial killer" of all time. As a matter of fact, his legend survived, and his evil figure still haunts the pages of books and---of course--the frames of many films; among the most famous From Hell (2001) by Albert and Allen Hughes, taken from the graphic novel of the same name by Moore and Campbell; Jack the Ripper (1976) by Jess Franco, with a disturbing Klaus Kinski, but also the TV movie directed by David Wickes in 1998 entitled Jack The Ripper; more obliquely, Jack appears also in The Lodger (1913) and Frenzy (1972) by Alfred Hitchcock. But can these movies be defined as true biopics of Jack? They got a strong support from similar organizations of German workers living in Sudety. The coordinating role was played by the German Socio-Democratic party in Slovakia. The major concentration of these unions was in Bratislava and Eastern Slovakia. Concerning their specialized field, they can be divided into tourism-practising, physical and sport ones However, the union activities were strongly influenced by political parties. A particular case is that of the mismatches in urban labor markets, which can result in substantial differences in the employment opportunities available in city centre and suburbs. This study examines the spatial mismatches present in the labour market of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. To that end, the results of a survey taken in 2003-2004 with a sample of 2000 city residents were reviewed. Results confirm the importance of transport policy for city residents; they suggest that public transport linking the different districts to the city centre should be reviewed.展开更多

This entropy-area relation, together with the identified Misner-Sharp internal energy, verifies the first law of thermodynamics for the apparent horizon with a volume change term for consistency. On the other hand, by means of the corrected entropy-area formula and the Clausius relation δQ = T dS, where the heat flow δQ is the energy-supply of pure matter projecting on the vector ξ tangent to the apparent horizon and should be looked on as the amount of energy crossing the apparent horizon during the time interval dt and the temperature of the apparent horizon for energy crossing during the same interval is 1/(2πτA), the modified Friedmann equations governing the dynamical evolution of the universe are reproduced with the known energy density and pressure of massive graviton. The integration constant is found to correspond to a cosmological term which could be absorbed into the energy density of matter. Having established the correspondence of massive cosmology with the unified first law of thermodynamics on the apparent horizon, the validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics is also discussed by assuming the thermal equilibrium between the apparent horizon and the matter field bounded by the apparent horizon. It is found that, in the limit Hc → 0, which recovers the Minkowski reference metric solution in the fiat case, the generalized second law of thermodynamics holds if α3 + 4α4 〈 0. Without this condition, even for the simplest model of dRGT massive cosmology with α3= α4 = 0, the generalized second law of thermodynamics could be violated.展开更多
