[Objective] To introduce a convenient and easy way for the statistical anal- ysis on field efficacy trials of pesticide by using Visual Basic. [Method] The calcula- tion procedure of using Visual Basic to conduct statistical analysis on the field efficacy of pesticides was introduced, and an example was used to illustrate the usage and skill of the program. [Result] The procedure could quickly and accurately con- duct statistical analysis on the field efficacy of pesticide by only inputting initial data of the test, and it could compare the significance of differences between various fac- tors. Its calculated results were consistent with the results of the specialized statisti- cal software DPS. [Conclusion] It is a quick and simple method with high accuracy and reliability, which can greatly improve the efficiency of pesticide formulation opti- mization. 展开更多

Mango fruit has a great national and international market, and Brazilian production is 1,900 thousand tons/year exporting to North America and Europe. However, the loss could occur during the production when it is affected by pests and climate conditions, so the increased use of chemical substances and their presence should be monitored. A task for governmental agencies, producers and food sales, attending the sanitary barriers requirements, is to distribute food free from contaminants, so laboratories involved in this type of work usually employ multi-residues analysis. The objective of this study was to evaluate the presence of pesticide residues in mango using QuEChERS method and mass spectrometry technique. Positive samples were compared with Brazilian maximum residues level (MRL) and the health risk exposure was evaluated using the acute dietary intake (ADI) parameter. A total of 20 samples were collected from January to March, in Sao Paulo city markets. The recoveries were in the range of 70% to 120%, and standard deviation was below 20%. The category of pesticides not permitted for the crop were found in l0 samples; eight samples presented pesticides below MRL and two samples above MRL for the fungicide procloraz. The ADI values were below 20% of ADI for an adult and the worst case was dimethoate with 69% of ADI for children. The time spent in monitoring studies and the viability of method chosen must be considered by pesticide residues laboratories during routine analysis of food quality control. 展开更多

The aim of this paper is to establish LIMS (laboratory information management system) for the tea pesticides analysis accredited laboratories in Taiwan. The LIMS could help Tungting station and Nantou pesticide inspection station to computerize the pesticide analysis data. It has completed eight management subsystems so far, including the basic information management subsystem, thesample processing management subsystem, the analysis data management subsystem, the analysis report management subsystem, the inspection standard management subsystem, the instrument connection management subsystem, the laboratory personnel training management subsystem and the laboratory quality document management subsystem. Using the automatic tea pesticide analysis information management system could help laboratory operations to reduce the amount of excess paperwork and human resource, which could ensure the analysis data quality is traceable and reliable. 展开更多

[Objective]The paper was to study regularity of pesticide residues in vegetables produced in Inner Mongolia.[Method]Mathematical statistic analysis was carried out on 6 800 samples of veggies, fruits, leguminous vegetables, nuts and seeds produced in Inner Mongolia.[Result]The dominated vegetables in Inner Mongolia were green leafy vegetables, solanaceous vegetables and melon vegetables, and their yields accounted for 70%of the total vegetables production.Since 2003,with the rapid increase of detected vegetable numbers, the status of vegetable quality safety had entered into a new stage of sustainable steady after a rapid decline or periodic fluctuation, and the differences in safety levels were obvious,of which the range of exceeding standard rate of pesticide residues in solanaceous vegetables, melon vegetables and leguminous vegetables(about 55%of the total vegetables)was under 2%,with average values of 1.1%,1.6%and 3.1%,respectively.They belonged to stable type. The exceeding standard rate of pesticide residues in green leafy vegetables and Chinese cabbage group(about 30%of total vegetables)presented a decreasing trend year by year, wondering in the range of 7%-10%.They belonged to main risk type. The time period of exceeding standard of pesticide residues in root vegetables and cole vegetables was under predictable, and its exceeding standard rate in some years was over 5%(amplitude variation is over 15percentage points). They belonged to random risk type. The kinds of pesticides, which exceeding standard rate in vegetables were relatively intensive, presented variance in different vegetable species.70%of the pesticides belonged to intermittent over-limits and the probability was below 5%.About 20%tradition pesticides often exceeded standard and their probabilities were over 30%.The exceeding standard of organophosphorus and carbamates pesticides in vegetables presented a decreasing tend, while the risk of some new pesticides containing nitrogen element and high effective pyrethroids showed an increasing tendency.[Conclusion]The paper provided decision making services for agricultural management departments. 展开更多

Apart from pesticides acute toxicity, their chronic toxicity can cause various problems for human health. The objective of this work was to validate a liquid-liquid extraction method, which allows a fairly reliable analysis of pesticides using gas chromatography-spectrometry mass (GC/MS) in toxicology laboratory at National Institute of hygiene, Rabat Morocco. The equipment required to perform these analyzes are the biological matrices (blood, gastric fluid), in which the authors have doped the Organophosphorus pesticides such as Chlorpyrifos, Dichlorvos and Organochlorine pesticide: dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) and Heptachlor. After extracting the mixture with toluene, the supernatant was collected after centrifugation and concentrated in a small volume of 1.5 mL and then analyzed in GC/MS. After analyzing, the authors found that the yields of each pesticide in samples are significant; respectively they represented 73.4% of Chlorpyrifos, 70.8% of Dichlorvos, 47.8% of DDT and 71.6% of Heptachlor. The blood has a strong link with the most pesticides, where it's important to use the GC/MS to identify these products. The extraction with toluene was effective, especially to OP, but it's also sensitive to OC. 展开更多

In order to answer the question as to how patients were treated in different historical periods, one of the most objective sources of study are pharmacy record books. The books were used for registration of all prescriptions based on which medicines have been produced in the pharmacy. Their contents reveal what medications were prescribed for treatment of various diseases, what kind of ingredients were used in the produce of medicines, and how much medicines cost. Lithuanian museums and archives stored dozen XIX-twentieth century the first half of prescription books. The present research analyses the prescription books of Petra^i~nai, a suburban area of the Lithuanian1 provisional capital, and a small Batakiai town in Taurage county with the population of 800, in 1935 Both books are stored in the Lithuanian Medical and Pharmaceutical History Museum. The study reveals what medicines were used for treatment of Lithuanian urban and rural residents in 1935, what the most often prescribed medicines were, specifics of the composition of medicines prescribed by doctors and a paramedic, popularity of animal medicines and the prices of medicines. The research was based on the methods of historical benchmark data processing and statistical analysis. 展开更多
