Each security domain has its own security servers and service providers, and there are trust relationships between different security domains for identity federation. The security server is responsible for authentication and authorization inside the domain, and offers identity federation capability for different domains. The security assertion markup language (SAML) assertion is used as security token in the system for authentication, authorization, and identity federation. The design of the proposed single sign-on process is based on web service security framework and multiple security domains, and the authorization is always deployed in the local area inside the service provider' s security domain, which enables web service clients, both inside and outside their security domains, to access the services in a simple, scalable, standard and secure way.展开更多

The periodic time-varying equations of motion are developed thr ough building a new 24DOF coupled rigid/elastic blended element based on the fle xible multibody system theory in this paper. It accounts for the effects of prec one, sweep, and the moderately large elastic deflections on the blade and elasti city of shaft and fuselage of the helicopter. The dynamic coupling between the r igid motion of blades about the flap, lag and pitch hinges of articulated rotor and moderately large elastic deflections are included. There is no restriction o n the rotation amplitudes of flap, lag and pitch in the formulation. The stabili ty of periodic solution is studied using the Floquet theory. The transition matr ix is calculated by the Newmark integration method. The aeromechanical stability of a new helicopter is studied. The results show that it is stable in the given forward flight. But the instability arises with the decrease of the bending and torsion stiffness of the shaft.展开更多

One of the st...The main purpose of this article is to perform a technical-economic analysis of different microgeneration systems (photovoltaic and wind turbine systems) that can be installed in a single-family house. One of the strategies for improving energy performance of buildings is the installation of microgeneration systems. This will enable Portugal to meet the goal regarding the share of renewable sources on gross final energy consumption imposed by the European Commission climate change and energy package for 2020. The analysis of four different micro-generation systems will take into account the local availability of renewable resources and market technologies and the new Portuguese law concerning microgeneration to promote renewable energy sources in households. The Portuguese microgeneration legal framework is also highlighted.展开更多

Primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) is a progressive autoim- mune liver disease of unknown etiology that affects almost exclusively women.Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) is currently the only approved drug by Food and Drug Ad...Primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) is a progressive autoim- mune liver disease of unknown etiology that affects almost exclusively women.Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) is currently the only approved drug by Food and Drug Administration for patients with PBC.Although the precise pathogenesis of PBC remains unclear,it has been postulated that many cell populations,including B cells,are involved in the ongoing inflammatory process,which implicates,not surprisingly,a potential thera- peutic target of depleting B cell to treat this disorder.Rituximab is a chimeric anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody that has been approved for the treatment of lymphoma and some autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.Whether it is effective in the treatment of PBC has not been evaluated.Recently,Tsuda et al [1] demon- strated that B cell depletion with rituximab significantly reduced the number of anti-mitochondrial antibodies (AMA)-producing B cells,AMA titers,the plasma levels of immunoglobulins (IgA,IgM and IgG) as well as se- rum alkaline phosphatase,and it was well tolerated by all the treated patients with no serious adverse events.This observation provides a novel treatment option for the patients with PBC who have incomplete response to UDCA.展开更多
Objective: Low-density granulocytes (LDGs) can form neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) spontaneously and excessively. When peripheral blood mononuclear calls (PBMCs) are used for studying T lymphocytes, LDGs...Objective: Low-density granulocytes (LDGs) can form neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) spontaneously and excessively. When peripheral blood mononuclear calls (PBMCs) are used for studying T lymphocytes, LDGs contained in the PBMCs may decrease the threshold of activating T lymphocytes by forming NETs. This study focused on the profiles of LDGs in common autoimmune diseases and methods for removing LDGs from PBMCs. Methods: The percentages of LDGs in PBMCs from 55 patients with dermatomyositis (DM), 15 with polymyositis (PM), 42 with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), 25 with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and 19 healthy controls were determined by flow cytometry. Three methods of removing LDGs were explored and compared. After removal, PBMCs from six patients with positive T-SPOT.TB were tested again to find out if LDGs contained in the PBMCs could influence T lymphocyte reactions. Results: Significantly higher LDG percentages were found in PBMCs from patients with DM ((8.41±10.87)%, P〈0.0001 ), PM ((8.41±10.39)%, P〈0.0001 ), RA ((4.05±6.97)%, P=0.0249), and SLE ((7.53±11.52)%, P=0.0006), compared with the controls ((1.28±0.73)%). The T-SPOT.TB values significantly decreased after LDGs were removed. Increasing relative centrifugal force (RCF) within a limited range can decrease the LDG percentage from an initial high level, but not markedly increase the LDG clearance rate. Compared with the whole blood sediment method, the PBMC adherence method can significantly remove LDGs yet scarcely influence the T lymphocyte percentage in PBMCs. Conclusions: The LDG percentage in PBMCs is significantly increased in patients with S/E, DM, PM, and RA. The influence of LDGs on T lymphocytes cannot be ignored in PBMC cultures. The adherence method is a simple and easy-to-use method for removing LDGs and purifying T lymphocytes from PBMCs.展开更多
