It analyzes the existing problems... This paper first summarizes that traditional EFL teaching considers target language isolatedly beyond its culture. It, therefore, stresses the interdependence of language and culture. It analyzes the existing problems and their predominant causes in basic EFL teaching, and discusses the possible solutions to be taken to solve such problems. It suggests that there is culture-based instruction for high achievement in classroom acquisition of the target culture. It deems undoubtedly that the systematic permeation of cross-cultural communication aiming at developing cross-cultural awareness is one of the most effective steps toward cultural appropriateness in authentic communication. 展开更多

This paper begins with an analysis of the difficulties and problems in teaching listening to EFL students. To deal with these issues, it outlines three teaching procedures and describes the unique features and tasks in each stage of teaching. Teachers should be able to identify what technical and procedural issues are involved in their teaching. The authors point out that listening should be task-oriented and accompanied with effective means of evaluation. The paper ends with a discussion of the part of the role-playing and the interactive activities in the listening process and the student engagement. 展开更多

The reason why the destructive cult faith is difficult to change is because that the destructive cults embezzled the basic concepts and doctrines of many legitimate religions in the construction of the destructive cult faith, which make the destructive cults and religious beliefs have many similarities in psychology, including the tenacity and stability of faith. The believers tend to believe it as a orthodox legitimate religion.
