According to the relati...Taking the time varying nature of wireless channels into account, two user selection schemes with lower complexity are developed for multiple-input multiple-output broadcast (MIMO BC)systems. According to the relationship between coherence time and Doppler frequency, an information frame is divided into several segments. At the beginning of each segment, the user selection is carded out with the greedy selection algorithm. In the simplified user selection algorithms employing the temporal correlation (SUSTC), the selection results are applied for all the remaining slots in each segment. But in the improved simplified user selection algorithms employing the temporal correlation(ISUSTC), at the remaining slots, users are kept with favorable channel conditions selected at the previous slot, and other users are updated from the candidate pool to communicate simultaneously. Simulations show that compared with the greedy user selection method, the proposed algorithms can reduce the selection complexity with a little sum capacity loss.展开更多

First, a program based on horiz...To improve the processing efficiency and the quality of orbital milling hole of aerospace Al-alloy, the big-pitch influence on cutting force and hole quality was studied experimentally. First, a program based on horizontal lathe was proposed based on kinematics analysis of orbital milling. Then, the cutting force at different stages and the hole quality with different pitches were measured. Results show that the axial force and radial force increase with the pitch amplification during orbital milling. However, the axial force in the orbital milling hole is about 8—10 times smaller than that in the conventional drilling. The diameter error of milling hole is 48—93 μm, and the surface roughness of milling hole is 1.2—1.7 μm. Finally, an orbital milling device with big pitch was designed.展开更多

The mucosal immune system consists of two arms, innate and adaptive immunity, that have been studied separately for a long time. Functional studies from in vivo models of intestinal inflammation as well as results from genome-wide association studies strongly suggest a crossregulation of both arms. The present review will illustrate this interaction by selecting examples from innate immunity and adaptive immunity, and their direct impact on each other. Broadening our view by focusing on the cross-regulated areas of the mucosal immune system will not only facilitate our understanding of disease, but furthermore will allow identification of future therapeutic targets.展开更多

As such, the condition is rare in adults. We present a case of a congenital bronchoesophageal fistula in a 62-year-old man with the complaint of severe bouts of cough and choking after swallowing liquid. His workup included a barium esophagogram that revealed a fistula between the esophagus and a right lower lobe bronchus. The diagnosis should be considered in certain individuals with suggestive symptomatology and unexplained respiratory pathology. Based on use of multi-dimensional models,this investigation simulates the performance of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell by varying the channel pattern.In the one-dimensional model,the porosity of the gas diffusi...Based on use of multi-dimensional models,this investigation simulates the performance of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell by varying the channel pattern.In the one-dimensional model,the porosity of the gas diffusion layer is 0.3.The model reveals the water vapor distribution of the fuel cell and demonstrates that the amount of water vapor increases linearly with the reduction reaction adjacent to the gas channel and the gas diffusion layer.Secondly,four novel tapered gas channels are simulated by a two-dimensional model.The model considers the distributions of oxygen,the pressure drop,the amount of water vapor distribution and the polarization curves.The results indicate that as the channel depth decreases,the oxygen in the tapered gas channel can be accel-erated and forced into the gas diffusion layer to improve the cell performance.The three-dimensional model is employed to simulate the phenomenon associated with four novel tapered gas channels.The results also show that the best performance is realized in the least tapered gas channel.Finally,an experimentally determined mechanism is found to be consistent with the results of the simulation.展开更多

During the exploitation of offshore oil and gas,it is easy to form severe slugging which can cause great harm in the riser connecting wellheads and offshore platform preprocessing system.The flow pattern and pressure ...During the exploitation of offshore oil and gas,it is easy to form severe slugging which can cause great harm in the riser connecting wellheads and offshore platform preprocessing system.The flow pattern and pressure fluctuation of severe slugging were studied in an experimental simulation system with inner diameter of 0.051 m.It is found that severe slugging can be divided into three severe slugging regimes:regime I at low gas and liquid flow rates with large pressure fluctuation,intermittent flow of liquid and gas in the riser,and apparent cutoff of liquid phase,regime II at high gas flow rate with non-periodic fluctuation and discontinuous liquid outflow and no gas cutoff,regime III at high liquid flow rate with degenerative pressure fluctuation in form of relatively stable bubbly or plug flow.The results indicate that severe slugging still occurs when the declination angle of pipeline is 0,and there are mainly two kinds of regimes:regime I and regime II.As the angle increases,the formation ranges of regime I and regime III increase slightly while that of regime II is not affected.With the increase of gas superficial velocity and liquid superficial velocity,the pressure fluctuation at the bottom of riser increases initially and then decreases.The maximum value of pressure fluctuation occurs at the transition boundary of regimes I and II.展开更多

It s...This paper proposes an estimation method of fracture resistance of oil & gas pipes, based on the results of full scale hydraulic pressure pipe testing with the artificial notch, made by the authors at 2002-2006. It shows that the fracture process at the stage of stripping (initialization) of crack can be characterized by Critical Fracture Diagram (CFD). Calculating and experimental way to construct CFD is suggested and discussed. The fracture resistance requirements for oil & gas pipes in terms of fracture mechanics (Kc, Lc) are formulated and proved. The results of full scale hydraulic pressure pipe testing, based on metal testing data of the standard Charpy specimens (KCV) and pipe's specification requirements are interrelated. The way to estimate the admissible temperature operation conditions of oil & gas pipes by means of based metal "KCV-temperature" dependence is proposed.展开更多

To ensure the safety and serviceability of them, it is essential to know potential adverse effects of the mining sequence on existing tunnels such as displacements of the lining and additional loads on the lining. In this paper, three-dimensional numerical parametric study is performed to explore this complex interaction. This study investigates the effects of different parameters that may affect the tunnel response. These parameters are: excavation sequence method, horizontal/vertical stress ratio, slope angle, and tunnel diameter. This study shows that the mining sequence affects the stability of the tunnels. The open-pit mining activities lead to both higher axial forces in rock bolts and normal forces and bending moments in the lining. The results of the analysis also demonstrate that the mining sequence causes tunnel heave and significant tensile forces in the lining. Based on the study in this paper a better understanding of the interaction between oDen-oit minin~ seouence and tunnels will he ohtained展开更多

First, the mean orbit elements are transferred to the osculating orbit elements at the burning time. Then, the feedback control law based on Gauss’s perturbation equations of motion is given. And the impulse control for targeting from the higher circulation orbit to the specified periapsis is developed.
