《手批尔雅义疏》是黄季刚先生从事语源研究实践的重要成果之一。黄氏运用声训,系联了大量可信的同族词,阐释了一些事物得名的由来,但也存在一些失误。疏证这些"声训失误"现象,可以辨正一些事物名称词语的得名之由。

A Cognitive Study on Politeness Intention Processing and Its Association with Pragmatic Failure in Cross-Cultural Communication

Although a large number of studies have focused on various aspects of politeness,very little is known about how politeness intention is activated cognitively during verbal communication.The present study aims to explore the cognitive mechanism of politeness intention processing,and how it is related to pragmatic failure during cross-cultural communication.Using 30 Chinese EFL university students who were instructed to finish a probe word judgment task with 96 virtual scenarios,the results indicate that within both mono-and cross-cultural contexts,the response time in the experimental scenarios was significantly slower than that of the filler scenarios.This suggests that politeness intention was activated while understanding the surface meaning of the conversation;however,the EFL learners could not completely avoid the negative transfer of their native politeness conventions when they were comprehending the conversational intention of the target language.Furthermore,no significant differences in response time were found between the groups with high and low English pragmatic competence,illustrating that transferring the pragmatic rules and principles into cross-cultural communication skills was more cognitively demanding.Overall,this study adds to the literature on politeness research and provides some implications for foreign language pragmatic instructions.

Quadrature error and offset error suppression circuitry for silicon micro-gyroscope

The reasons for inducing quadrature error and offset error are analyzed and the expressions of quadrature error and offset error are induced. The open-loop system analysis indicates that, in order to avoid the appearance of harmonic peaks, the frequency difference δf between drive mode and sense mode must be less than 1/（2Qy）. In order to eliminate the effects of the quadrature error and the offset error, as well as the inherent non- linearity in the capacitance-type sensors, a closed-loop feedback control circuit with quadrature correction is designed. The experimental results indicate that the quadrature error and offset error are corrected. By comparing with open-loop detection, the closed-loop feedback control circuit with quadrature correction decreases the non-linearity of the scale factor from 16. 02% to 0. 35 %, widens the maximum rate capability from ± 270 （°）/s to ± 370 （°）/s and increases the stability of zero bias from 155. 2 （°）/h to 60. 6 （°）/h.

Driving Behavior Shaping Model in Road Traffic System

In order to give a new way for modeling driving behavior, identifying road traffic accident causation and solving a variety of road traffic safety problems such as driving errors prevention and driving behavior analysis, a new driving behavior shaping model is proposed, which could be used to assess the degree of effect of driving error upon road traffic safety. Driver behavior shaping model based on driving reliability and safety analysis could be used to identify the road traffic accident causation, to supply data for driver's behavior training, to evaluate driving procedures, to human factor design of road traffic system.

Identification of Traffic Accident Causal Factors Through Dynamic Driving Behavior Analysis

The reliability expression of dynamic driving behavior is derived from the driving shaping behavioural model; and then, in accordance with the combination of computer simulation and mathematical expression of driving reliability, an approach for assessing the effect of driving erroneous actions on the dynamic performance of the driver vehicle system is presented. The analysis of driving erroneous actions in the driver vehicle system has been performed to show that the reliability during perception with variety widely could result in the incidents and/or accidents in traffic system.

APPLICATION OF HUMAN COGNITIVE MODEL FOR TIME DEPENDENT OPERATOR BEHAVIOR IN CHINESE NPP

Corpora research of language transfer

The paper firstly reviews the developments of language transfer research. Utilizing the results supplied by CEM and AntConc, the present writer conducts analyses of the lexicai errors committed by the students in TEM-8 test and reveals the contributions to SLA and EFL language teaching that language transfer may make.

A general solution and approximation for the diffusion of gas in a spherical coal sample

The square root relationship of gas release in the early stage of desorption is widely used to provide a simple and fast estimation of the lost gas in coal mines. However, questions arise as to how the relationship was theoretically derived, what are the assumptions and applicable conditions and how large the error will be. In this paper, the analytical solutions of gas concentration and fractional gas loss for the diffusion of gas in a spherical coal sample were given with detailed mathematical derivations based on the diffusion equation. The analytical solutions were approximated in case of small values of time and the error analyses associated with the approximation were also undertaken. The results indicate that the square root relationship of gas release is the first term of the approximation, and care must be taken in using the square root relationship as a significant error might be introduced with increase in the lost time and decrease in effective diameter of a spherical coal sample.

Applications of Graph Theory to Gross Error Detection for GPS Geodetic Control Networks

This paper describes a broad perspective of the application of graph theory to establishment of GPS control networks whereby the GPS network is considered as a connected and directed graph with three components.In this algorithm the gross error detection is undertaken through loops of different spanning trees using the "Loop Law" in which the individual components Δ X, Δ Y and Δ Z sum up to zero.If the sum of the respective vector components ∑X,∑Y and ∑Z in a loop is not zero and if the error is beyond the tolerable limit (ε>w),it indicates the existence of gross errors in one of the baselines in the loop and therefore the baseline must be removed or re_observed.After successful screening of errors by graph theory,network adjustment can be carried out.In this paper,the GPS data from the control network established as reference system for the HP Dam at Baishan county in Liaoning province is presented to illustrate the algorithm.

Second-order problem solving:Nurses'perspectives on learning from.near misses

Objectives:Near misses happen more frequently than actual errors,and highlight system vulnerabilities without causing any harm,thus provide a safe space for organizational learning.Second-order problem solving behavior offers a new perspective to better understand how nurses promote learning from near misses to improve organizational outcomes.This study aimed to explore frontline nurses’perspectives on using second-order problem solving behavior in learning from near misses to improve patient safety.Methods:A qualitative exploratory study design was employed.This study was conducted in three tertiary hospitals in east China from June to November 2015.Purposive sampling was used to recruit 19 frontline nurses.Semi-structured interviews and a qualitative directed content analysis was undertaken using Crossan’s 4I Framework of Organizational Learning as a coding framework.Results:Second-order problem solving behavior,based on the 4I Framework of Organizational Learning,was referred to as being a leader in exposing near misses,pushing forward the cause analysis within limited capacity,balancing the active and passive role during improvement project,and promoting the continuous improvement with passion while feeling low-powered.Conclusions:4I Framework of Organizational Learning can be an underlying guide to enrich frontline nurses’role in promoting organizations to learn from near misses.In this study,nurses displayed their pivotal role in organizational learning from near misses by using second-order problem solving.However,additional knowledge,skills,and support are needed to maximize the application of second-order problem solving behavior when near misses are recognized.

An outlier recognition approach in surveying data based on information entropy

A novel outlier recognition method in surveying data is presented based on Shannon information entropy. The probability distribution of surveying data does not need to be known or hypothesized in this method, and it is not only accurate but also convenient to calculate in this method compared with statistical recognition method.

Gross Error Detection and Identification Based on Parameter Estimation for Dynamic Systems

The detection and identification of gross errors, especially measurement bias, plays a vital role in data reconciliation for nonlinear dynamic systems. Although parameter estimation method has been proved to be a pow-erful tool for bias identification, without a reliable and efficient bias detection strategy, the method is limited in ef-ficiency and cannot be applied widely. In this paper, a new bias detection strategy is constructed to detect the pres-ence of measurement bias and its occurrence time. With the help of this strategy, the number of parameters to be es-timated is greatly reduced, and sequential detections and iterations are also avoided. In addition, the number of de-cision variables of the optimization model is reduced, through which the influence of the parameters estimated is reduced. By incorporating the strategy into the parameter estimation model, a new methodology named IPEBD (Improved Parameter Estimation method with Bias Detection strategy) is constructed. Simulation studies on a con-tinuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) and the Tennessee Eastman (TE) problem show that IPEBD is efficient for eliminating random errors, measurement biases and outliers contained in dynamic process data.

Detection of gross errors using mixed integer optimization approach in process industry

A novel mixed integer linear programming (NMILP) model for detection of gross errors is presented in this paper. Yamamura et al.(1988) designed a model for detection of gross errors and data reconciliation based on Akaike information cri- terion (AIC). But much computational cost is needed due to its combinational nature. A mixed integer linear programming (MILP) approach was performed to reduce the computational cost and enhance the robustness. But it loses the super performance of maximum likelihood estimation. To reduce the computational cost and have the merit of maximum likelihood estimation, the simultaneous data reconciliation method in an MILP framework is decomposed and replaced by an NMILP subproblem and a quadratic programming (QP) or a least squares estimation (LSE) subproblem. Simulation result of an industrial case shows the high efficiency of the method.

Contextual Influences＂ Online Service Failure and Recovery Strategies

In recent years, service failure and recovery strategies have generated considerable interest among both researchers and marketers. The Internet environment has transformed the concepts of service failure and recovery strategies from a dyadic customer-provider focus into a multidimensional web quality scope. In traditional encounters, the research spectrum of service failure and recovery strategies is very much developed from a customer service approach and the responsibility of recovery has been traditionally assumed to be something that is assigned to the marketer. Studies pay little or no attention to the multidimensional nature of service failures contingent to recovery strategies in developing countries. To date, empirical studies have focused on service failures and recovery strategies in developed countries. This paper aims to provide some insights on the need for a context-specific development of recovery programmes and strategies suitable for developing countries.

The Application of Error Analysis in College English Teaching

Error analysis theory is an important aspect in SLA （second language acquisition） study, which is quite significant for exploring English teaching rules and improving teaching methods. Accident at Fukushima Dai-lchi Nuclear Power Plant--Lessons Learned for the Czech Republic

Accident at Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant significantly affected the nuclear industry at time when everybody was expecting the so called nuclear renaissance. There is no question that the accident has at least slowed it down. Research on this accident is taking place all over the world, in this paper, we present the findings of research on Fukushima nuclear power plant accident in relation to the Czech Republic. The paper focuses on the analysis of human performance during the accident. Lessons learned from the accident and main human errors are presented. First, the brief factors affecting the human performance are discussed. They are followed by the short description of activities on units 1-3. The key human errors in the accident mitigation are then identified. On unit 1, the fuel damage was probably impossible to prevent, however, on units 2 and 3, it could be probably prevented.

Optical Packet Switching Scheme Using Multi-optical-code Labels

Proposed is a novel optical code(OC) label switching scheme in which an optical label is constructed by multiple parallel optical codes.The performances of splitting loss and BER are simulated and analyzed.Simulation results show that the proposed label can be correctly recognized to perform packet switching.Compared with reported schemes using one OC as a label,the splitting loss in our proposal is lowered.

ON LOCALIZATION IN SENSOR NETWORK WITH INACCURATE AND INCOMPLETE DISTANCE MEASUREMENTS

The sensor network localization problem has received a lot of attention in recent years because many important applications resort to node position information. In contrast to the many interesting algorithms proposed in the literature,this paper provides a relatively straightforward procedure that can tackle localization problem for sensor network in a Least Squares Euclidean Dis-tance Matrix Approximation (LS-EDMA) framework. Simulation results reveal that our proposed algorithm is more robust than another popular Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) and Semi-Definite Programming (SDP) based localization techniques,especially with inaccurate and incomplete distance measurements.
