民国初年,《中华妇女界》与《妇女杂志》先后刊出两篇《女小说家》,主要译者为包天笑与周瘦鹃,皆为通俗小说界的代表人物。他们以不同的翻译策略塑造了两个形象相异的西方女小说家形象,内里蕴含了对女性写作小说的赞同或否定态度。将两... 民国初年,《中华妇女界》与《妇女杂志》先后刊出两篇《女小说家》,主要译者为包天笑与周瘦鹃,皆为通俗小说界的代表人物。他们以不同的翻译策略塑造了两个形象相异的西方女小说家形象,内里蕴含了对女性写作小说的赞同或否定态度。将两篇小说还原到文学生产的历史现场,可以复原当时小说场域中的嘈杂声音及其相应支点。两篇小说表面看似对立,但却存在着深层的文本的"复义"与参与的"互文",呈现出两位译者对古今中西文化资源的权衡博弈与参差挪用。借此,可以使"鸳鸯蝴蝶派"的翻译小说从单一的文学评价的层面解放,揭示其在文化研究与翻译研究上的双重价值。 展开更多

Although the women writers in question were best sellers at the time, they were still not accepted within the traditional literary categories. This paper intends to doubt the appropriateness of the term "amatory" as a description of women's writing at the time as it is not proper to entitle them as "amatory" fiction only for the reason that they adopt similar amatory plot and write fictions about love. 展开更多
