It applies the recognition rate of training samples to the learning progress of network parameters. The learning vector quantization is employed to group training samples and the Genetic algorithm (GA) is used for training the network' s smoothing parameters and hidden central vector for detemlining hidden neurons. Utilizing the standard dataset I (a) of BCI Competition 2003 and comparing with other classification methods, the experiment results show that the best performance of pattern recognition Js got in this way, and the classification accuracy can reach to 93.8%, which improves over 5% compared with the best result (88.7 % ) of the competition. This technology provides an effective way to EEG classification in practical system of BCI.展开更多

[Re-sult] There were three discharge types in the occurrence of telencephalon in H. leechi , with single spontaneous firing and consecutive single spontaneous firing being main-ly apparent. And among the five types in the development of telencephalon, the main discharge type was single spontaneous firing. Along with the occurrence and development of telencephalon, the extracellular discharge intensity enhanced gradual-ly, the discharge duration increased, and the spontaneous firing frequency accelerat-ed, al of which reached the maximum in the adult phase. Fol owing the process of occurrence and development, other discharge types appeared successively. This part of study shall look into the ergonomics, safety and conditions of classrooms. Responses of 300 students will be shared in this presentation. However, how to integrate CALL into the teaching of culture is still rarely discussed. The purpose of the paper is to explore feasible models for teaching culture in CALL and their effects on students' acquisition process. Based on two fundamental pedagogical approaches (participatory pedagogy and multiliteracies pedagogy) for teaching culture, this paper proposes three pedagogical models (problem-posing model, web-quest model, and computer-supported collaborative learning model) for teaching culture in CALL. In the end, this paper illustrates a combination of the three models in real CALL setting by a cultural teaching case. A questionnaire survey and interviews are conducted to reflect on students' feedback, which gives an insight into possible adjustments in teaching models and the paper also proposes future possibilities in applying these models into teaching culture展开更多

Experimental group performance was compared to that of a control group on the five research instruments. In the area of computer-assisted language learning(CALL),although a number of studies have adopted various CALL-based devices(e.g.,blogs,gaming,and synthetic environments)to foster second language(L2)acquisition,the v...In the area of computer-assisted language learning(CALL),although a number of studies have adopted various CALL-based devices(e.g.,blogs,gaming,and synthetic environments)to foster second language(L2)acquisition,the vital component of instruction has received little attention.The present study explored the usefulness of CALL-based communication in conjunction with instruction on EFL learners’L2 pragmatic development.Sixty-two EFL students from a university in China were recruited for the current research.The experimental group communicated with a native English speaker through synchronous messaging via Skype and had two instructional sessions pertinent to compliment responses,while the control group interacted with a native English speaker via Skype without having the teaching intervention.Findings from an independent samples t-test demonstrated that the experimental group produced significantly more proper compliment responses in the immediate posttest than the control group(p<.001).Moreover,a significant difference(p<.001)was found for the experimental group between the preintervention and delayed post-intervention mean scores,suggesting that CALL coupled with teaching intervention had a long-term impact on learners’L2 pragmatic development.These findings enrich our understanding of the beneficial and lasting influence of combining CALL with instruction on EFL students’pragmatic development.In addition,pedagogical implications for deploying CALL paired with L2 pragmatics instruction are provided.展开更多

That is, instead of creating an extra assessment outside the normal activities of the course, this paper examines an assessment that is part of the course. Additionally, not only is the course embedded assessment part of the course, it measures 100% of assessments employed in the course, instead of only a sample of the assessments. This paper presents background information regarding the utilization of a course embedded assessment, including The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International [AACSB] requirements for fulfilling assessment of learning outcomes. Discussion of course embedded assessments takes place. The dialogue then illustrates an approach that can be used for the data organization and analysis stages of assessment. It is hoped that the use of such an approach may save instructors time and effort in their assessment endeavors, while providing a superior quality assessment encompassing the entire course instead of merely a sample. The results of their study indicate that most of the peripancreatic collections seen on CECT in patients with severe acute pancreatitis who require operative intervention contain necrotic tissue and CECT has a limited role in differentiating various types of collections. However, there are some points that need to be addressed, including data about the stage of acute pancreatitis in which CECT was done and the time span between CECT examination and surgery.展开更多

The subject of this study was administered by use of questionnaires in three categories of public schools: national school, provincial schools and district schools. The respondents were students from each level that is from one, two, three and four and teachers based on the most offered subjects in the secondary schools. The computer assisted learning facilities were classified into computers, internet and content in optical media. In national school Internet based research, optical media content provided by Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development and Cyber School program for science subjects was used in learning. In provincial school, it lacks adequate computers, reliable Internet and content in optical media. In district school, it lacks adequate computer, no internet connection and content in optical media. A learner management system which can be accessed by all learners by use of any internet access devices like mobile phone access will be an ideal tool with over 4,000,000 mobile phone subscribers currently in Kenya.展开更多

The authors create the tool to check the students' learning situation and to grasp which student is performing the PC operations, which are not related to the ongoing lesson, during the lecture. Teaching assistant carrying the iPad is made to walk around the class during the lecture and collect data of the students. In addition, the authors develop "MyPage" that the students can be given access to their personal information including individual class absence/tardiness, lesson comprehension and question understanding level of them and after using MyPage, the authors examine its effectiveness as a tool and its relationship with their attendance rate.展开更多

The study aims to investigate Taiwan Residents elementary school students' use of online reading strategies, and their relationship with students' performance on reading proficiency tests. The target population consisted of upper-grade learners (n = 83). The instruments were a M-SORS (modified survey of reading strategy) questionnaire and a reading proficiency test. Major findings were as follows: (l) Students used online reading strategies at medium level; (2) problem solving strategies were proven to significantly correlate with students' performance on reading comprehension test; and (3) there was a significant difference between higher and lower reading proficiency learners' use of online reading strategies. Pedagogical implications of the findings and suggestion for future research are discussed.展开更多

Also, the aim of this study was to analyze the most prescribed pediatric antibiotics in 2013 in Republic of Macedonia compared with standard treatments. Presented data was collected according to the number of prescribed recipes of pediatric dosage forms covered by the Fund of Republic of Macedonia. The obtained results showed that the most prescribed pediatric antibiotic is amoxicillin with clavulanic acid (875mg + 125mg) in form of tablet, with 280 863 prescribed recipes which corresponds to the recommendations of EBM.展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To study the daily administration times of Canhuang tablet(CHT) for treating jaundice in rats based on a pharmacodynamic/ pharmacokinetic model.METHODS: Rats were modeled by 4% 1-Naphthylisothiocyanate(75 m...OBJECTIVE: To study the daily administration times of Canhuang tablet(CHT) for treating jaundice in rats based on a pharmacodynamic/ pharmacokinetic model.METHODS: Rats were modeled by 4% 1-Naphthylisothiocyanate(75 mg/kg, p.o.). After 48 h, CHT was given(p.o.) at 0.75 g/kg once a day, 0.375 g/kg twice a day, and 0.25 g/kg three times a day. Blood was collected from the orbital sinus at different intervals. Levels of liver enzymes and bilirubin were detected using these blood samples. Bile was collected and determined after the first administration of CHT. High-performance liquid chromatography was used to determine the concentration of berberine in bile simultaneously. Time-effect and time-dose curves were then obtained.RESULTS: Compared with rats taking CHT twiceand three times a day, the total amount of bile within 10 h of rats taking CHT once a day were 1.32-and 1.47-fold higher, respectively. There was good consistency between the pharmacokinetics of berberine and the pharmacodynamics of the effect on liver enzymes and bilirubin in vivo. The pharmacokinetic analyses showed that rats administered CHT once daily maintained a higher concentration of berberine in bile for a longer period than rats administered CHT two- and three-times daily.CONCLUSION: In jaundiced rats, taking CHT once a day is better than taking CHT twice or three times a day. These data may provide a reference for the clinical application of CHT.展开更多

文摘The purpose of this study was to establish factors that lead to poor integration of Information and communication technology (ICT) for teaching and learning in schools in Kenya, despite comprehensive policy, institutional, infrastructural frameworks and capacity building by the Ministry of Education. The subject of this study was administered by use of questionnaires in three categories of public schools: national school, provincial schools and district schools. The respondents were students from each level that is from one, two, three and four and teachers based on the most offered subjects in the secondary schools. The computer assisted learning facilities were classified into computers, internet and content in optical media. In national school Internet based research, optical media content provided by Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development and Cyber School program for science subjects was used in learning. In provincial school, it lacks adequate computers, reliable Internet and content in optical media. In district school, it lacks adequate computer, no internet connection and content in optical media. A learner management system which can be accessed by all learners by use of any internet access devices like mobile phone access will be an ideal tool with over 4,000,000 mobile phone subscribers currently in Kenya.
文摘Internetwork environment at university has been improved to supply often the lecture materials to students through websites. Along with such a tendency, the number of students who use PC (Personal computer) has also increased during the lesson at university. Hereupon, the authors investigate whether the students will get high scores in tests when some limitations are imposed on the students' use of the PC during lecture and when they are not. The authors create the tool to check the students' learning situation and to grasp which student is performing the PC operations, which are not related to the ongoing lesson, during the lecture. Teaching assistant carrying the iPad is made to walk around the class during the lecture and collect data of the students. In addition, the authors develop "MyPage" that the students can be given access to their personal information including individual class absence/tardiness, lesson comprehension and question understanding level of them and after using MyPage, the authors examine its effectiveness as a tool and its relationship with their attendance rate.

文摘To assist young learners to cultivate efficient learning strategies in the early ages, students in the current study were guided to read three authentic online storybooks and then write their own digital stories with tablet PCs. The study aims to investigate Taiwan Residents elementary school students' use of online reading strategies, and their relationship with students' performance on reading proficiency tests. The target population consisted of upper-grade learners (n = 83). The instruments were a M-SORS (modified survey of reading strategy) questionnaire and a reading proficiency test. Major findings were as follows: (l) Students used online reading strategies at medium level; (2) problem solving strategies were proven to significantly correlate with students' performance on reading comprehension test; and (3) there was a significant difference between higher and lower reading proficiency learners' use of online reading strategies. Pedagogical implications of the findings and suggestion for future research are discussed.
文摘The use of medicines for infants and children is presenting one unique set of challenges, because children are the most vulnerable population in any society. In this study, we set out to present the characteristics and classification of antibiotics recommended for children according to WHO, EMA and EBM. Also, the aim of this study was to analyze the most prescribed pediatric antibiotics in 2013 in Republic of Macedonia compared with standard treatments. Presented data was collected according to the number of prescribed recipes of pediatric dosage forms covered by the Fund of Republic of Macedonia. The obtained results showed that the most prescribed pediatric antibiotic is amoxicillin with clavulanic acid (875mg + 125mg) in form of tablet, with 280 863 prescribed recipes which corresponds to the recommendations of EBM.
文摘This research developed the technology which united ISO-GUM (International Organization of Standard-Guide to Express of Uncertainty in Measurement) and QE (Quality Engineer) strategically and employed both feature efficiently. Although to tow technology of purpose use is same, each has future. The purpose is scheduled to improve the accuracy as a result of the clinical examinations. The result of research was used for diagnosis by equivalent Quality Control (eqQC) of the same level when and where, that are needed for broader-based medical system of the time of IT-era. Since National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) is recommend use of complicated operation by ISO-GUM for uniting, realization required the newest high quality computer technology. The algorithm of the complexity system of operation is that Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) and Multi-variance Analysis (MA) are needed in Fig. 4. The main new improving points are changed of ambiguous expression method of data, and the pursuit which the cause of worsens accuracy put into data. All data with an assurance reported the final result for patient or donor. Medical laboratory quality system service is offered essential in the laboratory to be correct result for health care by Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) useful ISO 15189. Quality Assurance (QA) is achieved though system reliability.

文摘Thanks to the fast improvement of the computing power and the rapid development of the computational chemistry and biology,the computer-aided drug design techniques have been successfully applied in almost every stage of the drug discovery and development pipeline to speed up the process of research and reduce the cost and risk related to preclinical and clinical trials.Owing to the development of machine learning theory and the accumulation of pharmacological data, the artificial intelligence(AI) technology, as a powerful data mining tool, has cut a figure in various fields of the drug design, such as virtual screening,activity scoring, quantitative structure-activity relationship(QSAR) analysis, de novo drug design, and in silico evaluation of absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity(ADME/T) properties. Although it is still challenging to provide a physical explanation of the AI-based models, it indeed has been acting as a great power to help manipulating the drug discovery through the versatile frameworks. Recently, due to the strong generalization ability and powerful feature extraction capability,deep learning methods have been employed in predicting the molecular properties as well as generating the desired molecules,which will further promote the application of AI technologies in the field of drug design.

文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the daily administration times of Canhuang tablet(CHT) for treating jaundice in rats based on a pharmacodynamic/ pharmacokinetic model.METHODS: Rats were modeled by 4% 1-Naphthylisothiocyanate(75 mg/kg, p.o.). After 48 h, CHT was given(p.o.) at 0.75 g/kg once a day, 0.375 g/kg twice a day, and 0.25 g/kg three times a day. Blood was collected from the orbital sinus at different intervals. Levels of liver enzymes and bilirubin were detected using these blood samples. Bile was collected and determined after the first administration of CHT. High-performance liquid chromatography was used to determine the concentration of berberine in bile simultaneously. Time-effect and time-dose curves were then obtained.RESULTS: Compared with rats taking CHT twiceand three times a day, the total amount of bile within 10 h of rats taking CHT once a day were 1.32-and 1.47-fold higher, respectively. There was good consistency between the pharmacokinetics of berberine and the pharmacodynamics of the effect on liver enzymes and bilirubin in vivo. The pharmacokinetic analyses showed that rats administered CHT once daily maintained a higher concentration of berberine in bile for a longer period than rats administered CHT two- and three-times daily.CONCLUSION: In jaundiced rats, taking CHT once a day is better than taking CHT twice or three times a day. These data may provide a reference for the clinical application of CHT.
