In training stage, according to the manual labeled feature points, the relative AAM is constructed and the corresponding average feature is obtained. In recognition stage, the interesting hand gesture region is firstly segmented by skin and movement cues. Secondly, the models are fitted to the image that includes the hand gesture, and the relative features are extracted. Thirdly, the classification is done by comparing the extracted features and average features. 30 different gestures of Chinese sign language are applied for testing the effectiveness of the method. The Experimental results are given indicating good performance of the algorithm.展开更多

The hand gesture region is extracted, and the relative normalization images are obtained by interpolation operation. To solve the proem of hand gesture recognition, Fuzzy-Rough based nearest neighbour(RNN) algorithm is applied for classification. For avoiding the costly compute, an improved nearest neighbour classification algorithm based on fuzzy-rough set theory (FRNNC) is proposed. The algorithm employs the represented cluster points instead of the whole training samples, and takes the hand gesture data's fuzziness and the roughness into account, so the campute spending is decreased and the recognition rate is increased. The 30 gestures in Chinese sign language alphabet are used for approving the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The recognition rate is 94.96%, which is better than that of KNN (K nearest neighbor)and Fuzzy- KNN (Fuzzy K nearest neighbor).展开更多

If it consists of considering oral articulation, which produce phonetic sounds as informative gestures and expressions of a visible-expressive code, that precedes the use of phonetic codes. The meaning expressed through each of these articulate-oral gestures was identified through research-responses by two select sample groups of psychotic subjects, chosen because of their greater permeable accessibility to the collective unconscious. In this sense the application of phonetic sounds, that is "words", is no more than representative or substitutes of the use of pre-articulate oral-facial gestures, used by pre-sapiens to express their informative intentions. Using this method I have published three books, which analyzed precisely and systematically the inter-relationships between consonants in words of Info-european origin--that is the roots of these words--discovering that words sharing common root-consonants do indeed express part or all of their meaning in correspondence with the original meanings of their gestural archetype. The projection into objects of these pre-articulate gestural meanings denotes them by means of mediators' metaphors and analogies, this is appearing to be the fundamental reason for the variety of languages, since diverse peoples will use different psychic Freudian puns and methaphors, for the projection to similar object. I have examined over twenty languages, in relation to this generalized cultural code model, founded on biological reactivity to conditions in reality to advantage given its extensive informative use.展开更多

The density-dependent sexual reproduction of a superior competitor could mediate the coexistence. However, the cost of sex may make the inferior competitor more vulnerable. To investigate the effect of sexual reproduction on the inferior competitor, we experimentally paired the competition of one Brachionus angularis clone against three Brachionus ealyciflorus clones. One of the B. calyciflorus clones showed a low propensity for sexual reproduction, while the other two showed high propensities. The results show that all B. calyciflorus clones were excluded in the competition for resources at low food level. The increased food level promoted the competition persistence, but the clones did not show a clear pattern. Both the cumulative population density and resting egg production increased with the food level. The cumulative population density decreased with the mixis investment, while the resting egg production increased with the mixis investment. A trade-off between the population growth and sexual reproduction was observed in this research. The results indicate that although higher mixis investment resulted in a lower population density, it would not determinately accelerate the exclusion process of the inferior competitor. On the contrary, higher mixis investment promoted resting egg production before being excluded and thus promised a long- term benefit. In conclusion, our results suggest that mixis investment, to some extent, favored the excluded inferior competitor under fierce competition or some other adverse conditions.展开更多

According to different methods, we separate patients into two groups, and each group is 150 patients. The one is test group (3D laparoscopic surgery), and the other is control group(2D laparoscopic surgery). Observing two groups for some factors, such as probability of surgical injury, post-operative exhaust time, catheterization time, time of drainage tube placement and hospital time. Result: The magnification of3D laparoscopy image is significantly better than 2D laparoscopy. Error damage fraction of test group(2. 00%) is lower than control group (28.00%), which effectively reduces the probability of total surgical errors and provides more accurate operation. At the same time, exhaust time, catheterization time, time of drainage tube placement and hospital time of test group are significantly lower than the control group, statistically significant (p〈0.05). Conclusion: 3D laparoscopic surgery has characterizations of easy operation, small window, fast recovery and small probability of complications occurrence. The HD vision is widen to improve the level of minimally invasive surgery and it is worthy of clinical application.展开更多

The difference of each impact is indicated by its damping amplitude ratio. In this paper, a measurement experiment about the postures of the receiver's hand was conducted. The postures of the receiver's hand were as follows: forming the natural longitudinal arch on the desk and fully contacting the desk. As a result, the dotting on the DIP joints of both postures caused the hard impacts; the dotting on the PIP joints caused the soft impact when the receiver's hand formed the natural longitudinal arch; the dotting on the PIP joints caused the hard impact when the receiver's hand fully contacted the desk. Therefore, we could verify the hypothesis.展开更多

We examined how male mating suceess varies with male size in the tessellated darter Etheostoma olmstedi. Previous work has shown that large males tend to move around and breed in vacant breeding sites, and consequently provide less care for their eggs, while smaller individuals can be allopaternal, caring for the eggs of other males as well as for their own. We studied female egg deposition in a natural breeding population using artificial breeding sites and in the laboratory, where female choice of spawning site was restricted to two breeding sites tended by two males of different sizes. In both the field and the laboratory, nests tended by larger males were more likely to receive new eggs. Additionally, the mean size of males associated with a nest was positively correlated with both the maximum coverage of eggs at the nest and the number of times new eggs were deposited. We discuss how the increased mating success of larger males, despite their decreased parental care, may help explain aUopaternal care in this species [Current Zoology 56 (1): 1-5, 2010].展开更多

Mexican handicrafts contribute to 20.3% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the cultural sector, that is, 0.6% of the National GDP. This research is quantitative, descriptive, and transversal. The sample selection was made for convenience so certain criteria could be met. In total, 70 tourists were surveyed in the handicraft commerce area. For the data retrieval, an instrument with the “Sustainability SWOT” (sSWOT) was designed, which consists of eight dimensions (trends, environmental challenges, threats, opportunities, strengths, weaknesses, which to prioritize, and where to act). The instrument consists of 22 items with a single Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5 (1 = Null to 5 = Excellent). The study showed that 54.29% of the tourists who visit Chiapas perceive that handicrafts have a regular impact on the small producer’s quality of life, while the remaining 45.71% point out that the impact is greater.展开更多

First, humans assimilate information from the traffic scene mainly through visual perception, while the machine perception of traffic environments needs to fuse information from several different kinds of sensors to meet safety-critical requirements. Second, a robotic car requires nearly 100% correct perception results for its autonomous driving, while an experienced human driver works well with dynamic traffic environments, in which machine perception could easily produce noisy perception results. In this paper, we propose a vision-centered multi-sensor fusing framework for a traffic environment perception approach to autonomous driving, which fuses camera, LIDAR, and GIS information consistently via both geometrical and semantic constraints for efficient self- localization and obstacle perception. We also discuss robust machine vision algorithms that have been successfully integrated with the framework and address multiple levels of machine vision techniques, from collecting training data, efficiently processing sensor data, and extracting low-level features, to higher-level object and environment mapping. The proposed framework has been tested extensively in actual urban scenes with our self-developed robotic cars for eight years. The empirical results validate its robustness and efficiency.展开更多

Methods: According to the principle of randomization, 258 cases with cervical vertigo who met the inclusion criteria for the study were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 129 cases in each. The patients in the observation group received acupuncture combined with tuina therapy, while those in the control group were just treated by the same acupuncture therapy as in the observation group. After 10-day continuous treatments, the clinical efficacies of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 100%, versus 86.0% of the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05). After treatment, cervical range of motion(ROM) scores in both groups were statistically significantly different from those before treatment(all P<0.05); in addition, there was a statistically significant difference in inter-group comparison of ROM score(P<0.05). Conclusion: Compared with simple acupuncture treatment, acupuncture combined with tuina therapy has a better effect in improving the ROM of cervical vertigo patients, with higher clinical efficacy.展开更多

文摘We verify the accuracy of the curvature-based potential.By means of the idealized numerical experiment,we show that the curvature-based potential is in good agreement with the numerical experiment, and the errors are within a reasonable range.Based on the curvature-based potential, the equipotential surfaces of particles are derived, and the intrinsic relations between the equipotential surfaces and Weingarten helicoids are shown.

文摘The analytical forms of the interaction potentials between one pseudo-scalar/vector and one scalar/tensor/axial-vector heavy mesons are deduced based on a chiral quark model. Our results explicitly show the attractive property between the two heavy mesons. Consequently, a series of possible molecular states are obtained. It is expected that our study might shed some light on the popular discussions of the newly observed XYZ states.
