To solve the conundrum, a method named subarray-synthesis-based Two-Dimensional DOA (2D DOA) angle estimation is proposed. In the method, firstly, the array antenna is divided into a series of subarray antennas based on the total number of receivers; secondly, the subarray antennas’ output covariance matrices are esti- mated; thirdly, an equivalent covariance matrix is synthesized based on the subarray output covariance matri- ces; then 2D DOA estimation is performed. The aim is ...Addresses the design problems of robust L2-L∞ filters with pole constraint in a disk for uncertain continuous-time linear systems. The uncertain parameters are assumed to belong to convex bounded domains. The aim is to determine a stable linear filter such that the filtering error system possesses a prescribed L2-L∞ noise attenuation level and expected poles location. The filtering strategies are based on parameter-dependent Lyapunov stability results to derive new robust L2-L∞ performance criteria and the regional pole placement conditions. From the proposed multi-objective performance criteria, we derive sufficient conditions for the existence of robust L2-L∞ filters with pole constraint in a disk, and cast the filter design into a convex optimization problem subject to a set of linear matrix inequality constraints. This filtering method exhibits less conservativeness than previous results in the quadratic framework. The advantages of the filter design procedures are demonstrated by means of numerical examples.展开更多
As semiconductor technologies have been shrinking,the speed of circuits,integration density,and the number of I/O interfaces have been significantly increasing.As a consequence,electromagnetic emanation(EME)becomes a ...As semiconductor technologies have been shrinking,the speed of circuits,integration density,and the number of I/O interfaces have been significantly increasing.As a consequence,electromagnetic emanation(EME)becomes a critical issue in digital system designs.Electronic devices must meet electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)requirements to ensure that they operate properly,and safely without interference.I/O buffers consume high currents when they operate.The bonding wires,and lead frames are long enough to play as efficient antennas to radiate electromagnetic interference(EMI).Therefore,I/O switching activities significantly contribute to the EMI.In this paper,we evaluate and analyze the impact of I/O switching activities on the EME.We will change the circuit configurations such as the supply voltage for I/O banks,their switching frequency,driving current,and slew rate.Additionally,a trade-off between the switching frequencies and the number of simultaneous switching outputs(SSOs)is also considered in terms of EME.Moreover,we evaluate the electromagnetic emissions that are associated with the different I/O switching patterns.The results show that the electromagnetic emissions associated I/O switching activities depend strongly on their operating parameters and configurations.All the circuit implementations and measurements are carried out on a Xilinx Spartan-3 FPGA.展开更多

High-temperature (150-220 ℃) growth leads to the formation of some peptide nanotube/microtube (NT/MT) arrays but the NTs/MTs exhibit closed ends, irreversible phase modification and eliminations of piezoelectric ...High-temperature (150-220 ℃) growth leads to the formation of some peptide nanotube/microtube (NT/MT) arrays but the NTs/MTs exhibit closed ends, irreversible phase modification and eliminations of piezoelectric and hydrophilic properties. Here we demonstrate the fabrication of unidirectionally aligned and stable diphenylalanine NT/MT arrays with centimeter scale area at room temperature by utilizing an external electric field. The interactions between the applied electric field and dipolar electric field on the NTs and surface positive charges are responsible for the formation. The unidirectionally aligned MT array exhibits a supercapacitance of 1,000 μF·cm^-2 at a scanning rate of 50 mV·s^-1; this is much larger than the values reported previously in peptide NT/MT arrays.展开更多

The initial constraint vec...We propose an algorithm that combines a pre-processing step applied to the a priori state vector prior to retrievals, with the modified damped Newton method (MDNM), to improve convergence. The initial constraint vector pre-processing step updates the initial state vector prior to the retrievals if the algorithm detects that the initial state vector is far from the true state vector in extreme cases where there are CO2 emissions. The MDNM uses the Levenberg-Marquardt parameter ~,, which ensures a positive Hessian matrix, and a scale factor a, which adjusts the step size to optimize the stability of the convergence. While the algorithm iteratively searches for an optimized solution using observed spectral radiances, MDNM adjusts parameters ), and a to achieve stable convergence. We present simulated retrieval samples to evaluate the performance of our algorithm and comparing it to existing methods. The standard deviation of our retrievals adding random noise was less than 3.8 ppmv. After pre-processing the initial estimate when it was far from the true value, the CO2 retrieval errors in the boundary layers were within 1.2 ppmv. We tested the MDNM algorithm's performance using GOSAT Llb data with cloud screening. Our preliminary validations comparing the results to TCCON FTS measurements showed that the average bias was less than 1.8 ppm and the correlation coefficient was approximately 0.88, which was larger than for the GOSAT L2 product.展开更多
