The paper proposes a unified framework to combine the advantages of the fast one-at-a-time approach and the high-performance all-at-once approach to perform Chinese Word Segmentation(CWS) and Part-of-Speech(PoS) taggi...The paper proposes a unified framework to combine the advantages of the fast one-at-a-time approach and the high-performance all-at-once approach to perform Chinese Word Segmentation(CWS) and Part-of-Speech(PoS) tagging.In this framework,the input of the PoS tagger is a candidate set of several CWS results provided by the CWS model.The widely used one-at-a-time approach and all-at-once approach are two extreme cases of the proposed candidate-based approaches.Experiments on Penn Chinese Treebank 5 and Tsinghua Chinese Treebank show that the generalized candidate-based approach outperforms one-at-a-time approach and even the all-at-once approach.The candidate-based approach is also faster than the time-consuming all-at-once approach.The authors compare three different methods based on sentence,words and character-intervals to generate the candidate set.It turns out that the word-based method has the best performance.展开更多

To investigate the HLA-A, -B allele polymorphism in Han population of Shandong province and to explore the possibility to find out the HLA-A,-B-matehed cord blood donors for stem cell transplantation to be used in oth...To investigate the HLA-A, -B allele polymorphism in Han population of Shandong province and to explore the possibility to find out the HLA-A,-B-matehed cord blood donors for stem cell transplantation to be used in other area in China, 5844 umbilical cord blood samples were taken from Han population donors of Shandong province, and assayed with PCR-sequence-oligonucleotide (PCR-SSO) assay. In Shandong Hart donors, 20 alleles at HLA-A locus and 46 alleles at HLA-B locus could be detected as revealed in the present study. Among the 20 alleles at HLA-A locus, the most prevalent five alleles included A * 02(0.3041), A * 11(0. 1443), A * 24(0. 1434), A * 30(0.0975) and A 33(0.0859), while, the alleles with lower gene frequencies included A * 34(0.0006), A * 25 (0.0005), A * 66(0.0005), A * 74(0.0004) and A * (0.0001). Of the 46 HLA-B alleles detected, the most prevalent five alleles were B * 13(0.1348), B * 51(0.0713), B * 62(0.0712), B * 61 (0.0676) and B * 60(0.0642); while alleles with lower gene frequencies included B * 77(0.0001), B * 76(0.0002), B * 47(0.0003), B * 42(0.0003) and B * 72(0.0004). In comparison with those of the other Han population in China, the HLA-A, -B gene frequencies in the umbilical cord blood of Shandong province possess unique distribution features among the investigated populations from various regions of the same race origin, and the differences in various regions of the same race were less than those among the different race. It is evident that the HLA-A,-B alleles of the umbilical cord blood taken in Shangdong province show high degree of polymorphism, and it might be part of those of Northem Han population in China. So, it is reasonable for patients of Northern Chinese to receive HLA class Ⅰ -match transplant of cord blood stem ceils for tissue and organ transplantation from Shangdong umbilical cord blood bank.展开更多

Methods Techniques of virus infection, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, dual-immunofluorecsence staining, laser scanning confocal microscopy, RNA dot blot and in situ hybridization were used.Results Expression of heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) was observed in cells infected with HTV as well as the translocation of Hsp70 from cytoplasm to nucleoli following virus infection. The variable distribution of Hsp70 was related to the various time after infection. Double-label indirect immunofluorescence of nuclear protein (NP) and Hsp70 in infected cells demonstrated co-localization of these proteins in the cytoplasm. Conclusion Overexpression of Hsp70 can be induced directly by Hantaan virus, which may be associated with virus protein assembly. The Hantaan virus proteins co-localize with, and possibly form a physical complex with cellular Hsp70 in infected cells.展开更多
OBJECTIVE:To investigate how community residents in Beijing understood and used Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in their medical practice.METHODS:This was a cross-sectional study conducted on 3410 community resident...OBJECTIVE:To investigate how community residents in Beijing understood and used Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in their medical practice.METHODS:This was a cross-sectional study conducted on 3410 community residents from four large communities of Tongzhou district in Beijng,China.A validated, self-administered questionnaire comprised of three sections was used to gather the data.A systematic sampling procedure was applied to recruit the community residents.RESULTS:A total of 3410 participants completed the questionnaire survey.It showed that in highly educated residents, 33.4%(170) knew of the names of 3-10 Chinese herbals, 35.8%(182) knew of names of 3-10 traditional Chinese patent drug.Among all the respondent residents, 80.7%(2753)believed that TCM herbal therapy and TCM non-drug treatments were effective in disease treatment, health enhancement, 85.7%(2923) had taken traditional Chinese patent drug in their life,56.8%(1937) of residents had used herbal decoction, 40.0%(1365) had received non-drug treatment of TCM, such as acupuncture, massage, cupping, auricular acupuncture.Among the elderly residents, 11.4%(98) often used Chinese patent drug and 9.8%(85) often used herbal decoction.In addition, 70.8%(2415) of residents were willing to accept knowledge and information on TCM for health enhancement and disease prevention, such as medicated diet, medicinal tea, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, although 82.8%(2825) of residents had never used them.CONCLUSION:Chinese patent drug and herbal decoction are widely used in the communities in Beijing, and there existed a possible close correlation between high educational level and better understanding of TCM.Age and occupation also correlated with the attitude to TCM therapies.The characteristics of the residents should be considered seriously in the course of promoting the understanding and application of TCM.展开更多
This work is related to the flow of a magnetohydrodynamic Burgers fluid.The flow of an incompressible conducting Burgers fluid in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field over a plate that is moved suddenly...This work is related to the flow of a magnetohydrodynamic Burgers fluid.The flow of an incompressible conducting Burgers fluid in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field over a plate that is moved suddenly is considered.By the application of the Laplace and Fourier sine transforms techniques,the exact analytical expressions for the velocity field and associated shear stress are determined in simple forms.They are written as a sum of steady-state and transient solutions.The graphical results are plotted for different values of indispensable parameters and some interesting results are concluded.The corresponding solutions for the hydrodynamic Burgers fluid appear as the limiting cases of the obtained solutions.展开更多
