Methods: Shwartzman reaction and high-dose methyl-prednisolone were used to produce the rabbit model with femur head necrosis, which, one week later, were ran- domly divided into three groups: intervention group injected with urokinase and Danshen injection to the left femoral artery; Gufuhuo Tang group given intragastric administration as well as intervention; control group injected with physiological saline to the femoral artery. Four weeks after treatment, the samples were given immunohistochemisty dyeing. Count VEGF positive osteoblasts rate, positive cartilage rate and positive blood vessels rate, and make sta-tistical analyses. Results: The three rates of Gufuhuo Tang group were all higher than those of the intervention group, and osteonecrosis was also improved. Conclusion: Gufuhuo Tang is able to improve osteonecrosis, the mechanism of which lies in promoting VEGF secretion so as to accelerate the revascularization and reossification of the femur head.展开更多
