The combustion and explosion characteristics of lithium-ion battery vent gas is a key factor in determining the fire hazard of lithium-ion batteries.Investigating the combustion and explosion hazards of lithium-ion batteries vent gas can provide guidance for rescue and protection in explosion accidents in energy storage stations and new energy vehicles,thereby promoting the application and development of lithium-ion batteries.Based on this understanding and combined with previous research on gas production from lithium-ion batteries,this article conducted a study on the combustion and explosion risks of vent gas from thermal runaway of 18650 LFP batteries with different states of charge(SOCs).The explosion limit of mixed gases affected by carbon dioxide inert gas is calculated through the“elimination”method,and the Chemkin-Pro software is used to numerically simulate the laminar flame speed and adiabatic flame temperature of the battery vent gas.And the concentration of free radicals and sensitivity coefficients of major elementary reactions in the system are analyzed to comprehensively evaluate the combustion explosion hazard of battery vent gas.The study found that the 100%SOC battery has the lowest explosion limit of the vent gas.The inhibitory elementary reaction sensitivity coefficient in the reaction system is lower and the concentration of free radicals is higher.Therefore,it has the maximum laminar flame speed and adiabatic flame temperature.The combustion and explosion hazard of battery vent gas increases with the increase of SOC,and the risk of explosion is the greatest and most harmful when SOC reaches 100%.However,the related hazards decrease to varying degrees with overcharging of the battery.This article provides a feasible method for analyzing the combustion mechanism of vent gas from lithium-ion batteries,revealing the impact of SOC on the hazardousness of battery vent gas.It provides references for the safety of storage and transportation of lithium-ion batteries,safety protection of energy storage stations,and the selection of related fire extinguishing agents. 展开更多

The effect of heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of the Ti-steel explosive-rolling clad plate was elaborated by optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), micro-hardness test and shear test. The composites were subjected to heat treatment at temperature of 650-950 ~C for 60 min. The results show that the heat treatment process results in a great enhancement of diffusion and microstructural transformation. The shear strength decreases as the treatment temperature increases. Heated at 850 ℃ or below, their shear strength decreases slowly as a result of the formation of TiC in the diffusion interaction layer; while at the temperature of 850 ℃ or above, the shear strength decreases obviously, which is the consequence of a large amount of Ti-Fe intermetaUics (Fe2Ti/FeTi) along with some TiC distributing continuously at diffusion reaction layer. 展开更多

A metallic glass coating with the composition of Fe51.33Cr14.9Mo25.67Y3.4C3.44B1.26 (mole fraction, %) on the Q235 stainless steel was developed by the detonation gun (D-gun) spraying process. The microstructure and the phase aggregate were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry, respectively. Microhardness, wear resistance and corrosion behavior were assessed using a Vickers microhardness tester, a ball-on-disk wear testing machine and the electrochemical measurement method, respectively. Microstructural studies show that the coatings possess a densely layered structure with the porosity less than 2.1%. The tribological behavior of the coatings examined under dry conditions shows that their relative wear resistance is five times higher than that of the substrate material. Both adhesive wear and abrasive wear contribute to the friction, but the former is the dominant wear mechanism of the metallic glass coatings. The coatings exhibit low passive current density and extremely wide passive region in 3.5% NaCl solution, thus indicating excellent corrosion resistance. 展开更多

Results\ Computational methods for fuel dispersion velocity in the acceleration stage is given and taken as a base for the study of fuel dispersion in the intermediate and the far area. Conclusion\ When the fuel flow velocity is higher than that of the explosion gas in the center cavity, the fuel divides with the explosion gas and its velocity of flow reaches a maximum. Microstructure, mechanical property and oxidation resistance of MCrAlYX coatings prepared by detonation gun (D-gun) and HVOF spraying were investigated. Lamellar microstructure and uniform microstructure formed in D-gun sprayed MCrAlYX coating and HVOF sprayed coating, respectively. Element redistribution and formation of new phase took place during the detonation process. Besides, the porosity of D-gun sprayed coating was much lower than that of HVOF sprayed coating. On the mechanical property, the micro-hardnesses of the two coatings were in the same level (~HV 910). However, D-gun sprayed MCrAlYX coating exhibited larger standard deviation of microhardness due to its lamellar microstructure, and exhibited better bend bonding strength owing to the existence of residual compressive stress between the layers and particles. Meanwhile, due to the much more compact microstructure, D-gun sprayed MCrAlYX coating showed superior oxidation resistance to the HVOF sprayed coating. The continuous dense protective layer can form earlier in D-gun sprayed coating and thus suppress further oxidation and control the oxide thickness at a relatively low level. 展开更多

For the latter, the fractal dimension and the relevant characterization parameters are yielded by using the Weirstrass Mandelbrot (W M) fractal function. In contrast with conventional statistical parameters, the new set of parameters is independent of the chosen time length scales and the measuring instruments.
