The thunderstorms could be divided into cold-front thunderstorm, upper trough （shear line） type thunderstorm and cold-vortex thunderstorm. We also screened out the atmosphere parameters that were highly correlated to the occurrence of thunder/ lightning. They were treated as the predictors. Each possible influencing factor was analyzed on the lightning day correspondingly. Their threshold values were also de- termined. Among them, the parameter that had the highest neutralizing capacity was treated as negative index. For different type of thunderstorm weather, the negative index was different. The application of negative indexes was also discussed. We hope to provide a valuable basis for the accurate forecasting of thunder/lightning.展开更多
Primary hepatic lymphoma is extremely rare,and only a few cases have been described on positron emission tomography(PET) or PET/computed tomography(PET/CT) imaging in the English literature.We report a case of a 55-ye...Primary hepatic lymphoma is extremely rare,and only a few cases have been described on positron emission tomography(PET) or PET/computed tomography(PET/CT) imaging in the English literature.We report a case of a 55-year-old woman who presented with low-grade fever and weight loss of three months.On CT scanning,a mass was identified which appeared to be a hypoattenuating lesion,on ultrasonographic imaging,the mass was hypoechoic,therefore,liver abscess or hepatic metastasis from a gastrointestinal primary was initially suspected.Tumor markers such as alpha-fetoprotein,carcinoembryonic antigen and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 were within normal limits.PET/CT demonstrated a large abnormal ring-like hypermetabolic focus in the right liver lobe.The lesion was resected and the histo-pathological findings were consistent with lymphoma.The patient was discharged two weeks after surgery and did not receive any further treatment.After 25 mo follow-up,she is in good health.18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT is useful in confirming the diagnosis of primary hepatic lymphoma by demonstrating no other foci with high uptake in other parts of the body.展开更多

We herein report such a cas...An isolated parenchymal gastric metastasis from ovarian carcinoma without any other sites of recurrence is extremely rare. Only two cases have been reported, both of which were symptomatic. We herein report such a case without any symptoms. A 61-year-old woman presented with a high cancer antigen-125 level without any other clinical manifestation. A subsequent 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography scan revealed a submucosal mass with hypermetabolism of 18F-FDG (standardized uptake value:5.36) in the gastric antrum. The final pathology after gastric antrectomy showed a metastatic gastric tumor from a primary ovarian carcinoma. We also performed an extensive literature review about gastric metastasis from ovarian carcinoma published until recently, and this is the first case of an isolated parenchymal gastric metastasis from ovarian carcinoma without any symptoms.展开更多

Firstly, investors appeared in the press sector, later on in the electronic media. One of the first groups presented in Poland was Orkla Media. The Norwegians launched a brand new regional daily. After subsequent failure they changed the pattern of business activity. When in 2006 Mecom bought out Orkla＇s shares, a new era began. The British fund was mainly interested in making their assets more profitable. The biggest shareholder of the regional press sector, however, is still Verlagsgruppe Passau （VGP）. The German group appeared in 1993, in disguise of a Swiss company and next year took over eight regional dailies. In due course, VGP bought out a couple of more regional titles and became the leader of this sector of the market. Although the Germans were competing against the Norwegians and the Brits, they showed a different style of managing their assets. The author attempts to describe different patterns of business strategy in the press sector in Poland, examining each investor＇s behavior and the results of their efforts. This can lead to conclusions about the past activities as well as to predictions about the future of the market.展开更多

However, high-frequency switching of power devices will cause common-mode（CM） voltages during operation, leading to serious CM currents in the motor drive systems. CM currents through the cables and motors in the drive systems can cause electromagnetic interference（EMI） with the surrounding electronic equipment and shorten the life of induction motors. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the CM currents in motor drive systems. In this paper, high-frequency models of unshielded and shielded power cables are formulated. The frequency-dependent effects and mutual inductances of the cables are taken into account. The power cable parameters are extracted by the finite element method and validated by measurements. High-frequency models of induction motors and inverters are introduced from existing works. The CM currents at the motor and inverter terminals are obtained, and the influence of the cable length and cable type on the CM currents is analyzed. There is a good agreement between the experimental results and the CM currents predicted by the proposed models.展开更多
