Brain injuries vary by name, type, and severity in the athletic setting. It should be noted, however, that these injuries are not isolated to only the athletic arena, as non-athletic mechanisms （e.g., motor vehicle accidents） are more common causes of traumatic brain injuries （TBI） among teenagers. Notwithstanding, as many as 1.6 to 3.8 million TBI result from sports and recreation each year in the United States alone. These injuries are extremely costly to the global health care system, and make TBI among the most expensive conditions to treat in children. This article serves to define common brain injuries in sport; describe their prevalence, what happens to the brain following injury, how to recognize and manage these injuries, and what you can expect as the athlete recovers. Some return-to-activity considerations for the brain-injured athlete will also be discussed.展开更多

The second part deals with the drawing illustrations for the text of Dante＇s Divine Comedy composed by the Florentine painters Sandro Botticelli, Giovanni Stradano, and Federico Zuccaro. Here the emphasis is on Dante＇s Inferno, which comments upon Neoplatonic personalities, Florentine politics, and current popular art. Comparisons with some of Botticelli＇s, Stradano＇s, and Zuccaro＇s drawing illustrations indicate the assimilation of classical artistic concepts such as Horace＇s ut pictura poesis [as is painting so is poetry] as well as Plato＇sfurorpoeticus [poetical inspiration] promoted in the writings of Marsilio Ficino, a Renaissance Neoplatonic philosopher.展开更多

The results indicated that if not heated, splitting shoot tips directly could not completely remove viruses. On the other hand, it will be obviously improved after shoot tips are heated. Incubators heat treatment （inconstant temperature） with shoot tip culture, constant temperature water bath incubation process with meristem-tip culture, hot air treatment （constant temperature） with apical meristem culture were three methods tested in searching for virus-free of Arena strawberry in this experiment. And their virus-free rates were 78.9%, 86.0% and 50.0% respectively. Of the three methods, the second, constant temperature water bath process with shoot tip culture, with 78.7% survival, is the best. Thus, it can be inferred that constant temperature water bath treatment combined with shoot tip culture might be the most appropriate method to remove viruses of Arena strawberry.展开更多

Reinforced concrete is used for the bowl structure and main seismic resisting system is considered as dual system. For the structure above Level 04, steel rakers and columns are applied. To identify seismic resisting performance of steel structure, push over analysis had been carried out. Pre-cast concrete plank is planned for arena seating to meet constructing ability. The roof structure is grid type space frame. Tension trusses are located under the space frame for overall stability of roof structure. Wind tunnel test had been conducted to evaluate accurate wind pressure for both structure and cladding design. LRB （lead rubber bearing） is located under the roof structure to reduce seismic force delivered from sub-structure.展开更多
