弗雷格在《算术基础》中提出“语境原则”,并将其作为重要的方法论原则指导他关于“数”的论证。从对比和联系中理解弗雷格的语境原则:弗雷格的语境原则与语用学研究中的语境方法在研究对象、研究范围和研究方法上存在差异;该书序言中... 弗雷格在《算术基础》中提出“语境原则”,并将其作为重要的方法论原则指导他关于“数”的论证。从对比和联系中理解弗雷格的语境原则:弗雷格的语境原则与语用学研究中的语境方法在研究对象、研究范围和研究方法上存在差异;该书序言中的三条原则相互联系,语境原则是对一、三条原则的保证。《算术基础》对语境原则的具体运用体现在以下三方面:首先表现为弗雷格对经验主义者、主观主义者关于“数”的观点的批判;其次他重视分析句子中的定冠词,以定冠词的有无来区分专名与概念词,并支撑自己对他人观点的反驳;最后弗雷格讨论数相等意义的出发点以及对休谟原则的解释也是对语境原则的遵循。 展开更多

A cost-based selective maintenance decision-making method was presented.The purpose of this method was to find an optimal choice of maintenance actions to be performed on a selected group of machines for manufacturing systems.The arithmetic reduction of intensity model was introduced to describe the influence on machine failure intensity by different maintenance actions (preventive maintenance,minimal repair and overhaul).In the meantime,a resolution algorithm combining the greedy heuristic rules with genetic algorithm was provided.Finally,a case study of the maintenance decision-making problem of automobile workshop was given.Furthermore,the case study demonstrates the practicability of this method. 展开更多

With the introduction of the cloud computing technology, operators can virtualize the network functions through low-cost COTS IT hardware All kinds of existing services can be cloudifled and thus obtain the benefits of statistical multiplexing among IT resources. To improve the efficiency of operating rooms, reduce the hospital' s costs and improve the level of service qualities, a scheduling method is presented based on a filtered-beam-search-based algo- rithm. Firstly, a scheduling problem domain is described. Mathematical programming models are al- so set up with an objective function of minimizing related costs of the system. On the basis of the de= scriptions mentioned above, a solving policy of generating feasible scheduling solutions is estab- lished. Combining with the speeific constraints of operation theatres, a filtered-beam-search-based algorithm is put forward to solve scheduling problems. Finally, simulation experiments are designed. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated and compared with that of other approaches through simulations. Results indicate that the proposed algorithm can reduce costs, and are of prac- ticality and effectiveness. 展开更多

A method of real-time data smoothness which is applied in a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation platform for a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle synthetical power device is described. The input signal of the platform comes from a AC/DC switch power with output containing noises. A linear slide average arithmetic is applied to smooth the noises. To average a certain number input sample signals, this method can decrease the noises voltage level, which meet the requirement of the simulation platform. The efficiency and signal delay time are presented to describe the result of this method, and a statistical index is used to judge the arithmetic' s efficiency. The tests results show that the arithmetic fit the requirement of the HIL simulation platform. 展开更多

The variance reduction technique is proposed in order to speed up MC algorithm. The algorithm for estimating the probability of high portfolio losses (more general risk measure) based on the Cross - Entropy importance sampling is developed. This algorithm can easily be applied in any light- or heavy-tailed case without an extra adaptation. Besides, it does not loose in the performance in comparison to other known methods. A numerical study in both cases is performed and the variance reduction rate is compared with other known methods. The problem of VaR estimation using procedures for estimating the probability of high portfolio losses is also discussed. 展开更多

Developing nations, like Nigeria, whose financial systems and infrastructural base are not yet fully developed face data rendition challenges which may hamper the representativeness of their interest rate statistics.A critical component of any credible interest rate data compilation framework relates to the sampling procedure.In Nigeria, no work has been done with regards to employing alternatives sampling techniques in the computation of interest rate statistics largely because of the small number of deposit money banks in the country. Leveraging on existing literature and established statistical methods, the study examines two sampling techniques for generating credible and reliable interest rates in Nigeria. The current interest rate compilation framework in the country is presented and alternative sampling procedures were explored with a view to investigating their appropriateness for Nigeria's interest rate computation. The interest rates generated based on the current population-based compilation method is compared with those of the alternative approaches. This paper recommends the use of purposive sampling method that covers Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) which account for about 70.0 per cent of the banking sector total assets as an appropriatealternative. 展开更多

Evolutionary processes are part of all we know, from the physical and inanimate world to the simplest or most complex biological system. Evolution is manifested by land mark discoveries which deeply affect our social life. Demographic pressure, demand for improved living standards and devastation of the natural environment pose new and complex challenges. We believe that the implementation of new computational models based on the latest scientific methodology can provide a reasonable chance of overcoming today's social problems. To ensure this goal, however, we need a change of mindset, placing findings obtained from modern science above traditional concepts and beliefs. In particular, the type of modeling used with success in computational sciences must be extended to allow simulations of novel models for social life. 展开更多
