When dealing with the echoes of a traditional active sonar system, the sonar designers often do not take into account the influence of the environmental information and prior knowledge perceived by sonar receivers, making it difficult to obtain desired processing results. Based on the basic principle and key technology of sonar, this paper proposed a cognition-based intelligent sonar system in theory--cognitive sonar. Cognitive sonar is capable of jointly optimizing the transmission waveform and receiver according to the changes of environment so that its detection and identification performance can be significantly improved.展开更多

We propose a joint elastic inversion met...Amplitude variations with offset or incident angle (AVO/AVA) inversion are typically combined with statistical methods, such as Bayesian inference or deterministic inversion. We propose a joint elastic inversion method in the time and frequency domain based on Bayesian inversion theory to improve the resolution of the estimated P- and S-wave velocities and density. We initially construct the objective function using Bayesian inference by combining seismic data in the time and frequency domain. We use Cauchy and Gaussian probability distribution density functions to obtain the prior information for the model parameters and the likelihood function, respectively. We estimate the elastic parameters by solving the initial objective function with added model constraints to improve the inversion robustness. The results of the synthetic data suggest that the frequency spectra of the estimated parameters are wider than those obtained with conventional elastic inversion in the time domain. In addition, the proposed inversion approach offers stronger antinoising compared to the inversion approach in the frequency domain. Furthermore, results from synthetic examples with added Gaussian noise demonstrate the robustness of the proposed approach. From the real data, we infer that more model parameter details can be reproduced with the proposed joint elastic inversion.展开更多

The geodesic structures were implemented in the Historic Site of Olinda employing GNSS (global navigation satellite system) receivers, total stations and digital level. The historical site of Olinda was recorded by UNESCO as Historical and Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The study area is located in the center of the busiest site with a quite roughly relief. This area has been studied since 2007 involving Research of Scientific Initiation and Pos-Graduation Course. This paper aims to present the realized experiments for the implementation and definition of geodesic structures in environments with very rough relief, including large old houses and historic monuments.展开更多

Taking into account the combined action of the relativistic particle mass increase and the relativistic light ponderomotive force, using the perturbation method, and allowing different types solution, we discuss the analytical solution of (3+1)-dimensional KP-I equation, and give the approximate solutions of vector potential of the intense laser pulse in e-p plasma. Our results may be significantly useful in understanding the nonlinear wave propagation and interaction of intense laser beams in an e-p plasma.展开更多

When the concept of clause and sentence meets at the presence of NP (Noun Phrase) and VP (Verb Phrase), there is a right to consider construction as an S or a sentence leaving the conjunction and relative pronoun as means of uniting device and leaving every NP-VP construction as equal units. By employing an embedding theory, we can see hidden parts of a sentence and their roles in other sentences. Ionic covalent organic framework(COF)materials with high specific surface areas and well-defined pore structures are desired for many applications yet seldom reported.Herein,we report a cationic pyridinium salt-based ...Ionic covalent organic framework(COF)materials with high specific surface areas and well-defined pore structures are desired for many applications yet seldom reported.Herein,we report a cationic pyridinium salt-based COF(PS-COF-1)with a Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area of 2703 m^(2) g^(-1),state-ofthe-art for an ionic COF.Aided by its ordered pore structure,chemical stability,and radiation resistance,PS-COF-1 showed exceptional adsorption properties toward aqueous ReO_(4)^(-)(1262 mg g^(-1))and ^(99)TcO_(4)^(-).Its adsorption performance surpassed its corresponding amorphous analogue.Importantly,PS-COF-1 exhibited fast adsorption kinetics,high adsorption capacities,and selectivity for ^(99)TcO_(4)^(-)and ReO_(4)^(-)at high ionic strengths,leading to the successful removal of ^(99)TcO_(4)^(-)under conditions relevant to low-activity waste streams at US legacy Hanford nuclear sites.In addition,PS-COF-1 can rapidly decontaminate ReO_(4)^(-)/^(99)TcO_(4)^(-)polluted potable water(~10 ppb)to drinking water level(0 ppb,part per billion)within 10 min.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations revealed PS-COF-1 has a strong affinity for ReO_(4)^(-)and ^(99)TcO_(4)^(-),thereby favoring adsorption of these low charge density anions over other common anions(e.g.,Cl^(-),NO_(3)^(-),SO_(4)^(2-),CO_(3)^(2-)).Our work demonstrates a novel cationic COF sorbent for selective radionuclide capture and legacy nuclear waste management.展开更多
