The runoff, sediment and soil moisture rate dynamics in Robinia pseudoacacia plantation and its clearcut area were investigated in the natural runoff experiment plots in Yellow River Delta Wet- land, Shandong Province, China. The correlation of height increment ofR. pseudoacacia with nine climate factors such as light, water, heat, etc. was analyzed by stepwise regression analysis. The results showed that the amounts of runoff and sediment in clearcut area of R. pseudoacacia were 53.9%-150.8% and 172.8%-387.1% higher than that in Robinia pseudoacacia plantation, respectively. The runoff peak value in R. pseudoacacia stand was obviously lower than that in clerarcut area, meantime, the occurrence of runoffpeak in R. pseudoacacia stand was 25 min later than in its clerarcut area. The soil moisture rates in R. pseudoacacia stand and its clearcut varied periodically with annual rainfall precipitation in both dry season and humid season. The annual mean soil moisture rate in R. pseudoacacia stand was 23.3%-25.6% higher than that in its clearcut area. Meanwhile, a regression model reflecting the correlation between the height increment of R. pseudoacacia and climatic factors was developed by stepwise regression procedure method. It showed that the light was the most important factor for the height increment ofR. pseudoacacia, followed by water and heat factors.展开更多

Methods The Evans blue liposome was prepared by the reverse-phase-evaporation method. The effect of cholesterol on the encapsulation percentage of Evans blue was studied. The effects of DSPE-PEG, Tween80, and Brij35 on the encapsulation percentage and tissue distribution of Evans blue liposome in the rat were determined. Results The top encapsulation percentage of Evans blue liposome is 25.30%. After modification by DSPE-PEG, Tween80, and Brij35, the encapsulation percentages decreased slightly, but not significantly. After modification, the Evans blue concentrations deceased in the liver, spleen, lung and kidney, but increased in the brain, especially in the EB-L-Tween80 group. Conclusion DSPE-PEG, Tween80, and Brij35 have slight effect on the encapsulation percentage of Evans blue liposome. The effect of Brij35 on the distribution of Evans blue liposome is similar to that of DSPE-PEG because they both is prevent the reticuloendothelial system (RES) from clearing liposome. The Evans blue concentration in the brain is greatly improved when Tween80 is used to modify the EB liposome, which is good information for preparing liposome targeting the brain.展开更多

On the premise that moraine lake is full, instantaneous burst in part of the lake bank happens, as flow velocity at burst mouth caused by overflow head is higher than threshold flow velocity of glacial till. Under some supposes, d(90) and d(10) of the glacial till in the hank were used as the threshold sizes of coarse and fine grains respectively. Thus, the formula of calculating threshold flow velocity of uniform sand was simplified, and threshold flow velocity of glacial till was calculated with the formula. Then, with synthesis formula calculating flow velocity of instantaneous part burst, flow velocity at overflow burst mouth was calculated, and calculation formula of critical height (H(0)) of overflow head was derived. Overflow head was caused by volume and surge of glacial landslide falling into moraine lake, calculation formulas of ascendant height (H(1)) of lake water surface and surge height (H(2)) on burst mouth caused by glacial landslide falling into moraine lake were derived. To sum up, critical hydrologic conditions of moraine lake burst with overflow form are: the burst is inevitable as H(1) > H(0); the burst is possible as H(1) < H(0) and (H(1)+H(2)) > H(0); the burst is impossible as (H(1)+H(2)) < H(0). In the factors influencing the burst critical conditions, it is advantageous for the burst that scale of the lake is 10(5)m(2) range; terminal glacial till is more fine and is even more uniform; the width of overflow mouth is even smaller than the length of the bank; the landslide has large scale and steep slip surface; and glacial end is close to the lake. With burst of Guangxiecuo Lake in Midui Valley of the Polongzangbu River in Xizang as an example, the burst critical conditions were tested.展开更多

First, the SVM model for head- stream analysis was trained on the water sample of available headstreams, and then we used this to predict the unknown samples, which were validated in practice by comparing the predicted results with the actual results. The experimental results show that the SVM is a feasible method to differentiate between two headstreams and the H-SVMs (Hierachical SVMs) is a preferable way to deal with the problem of multi-headstreams. Compared with other methods, the SVM is based on a strict mathematical theory with a simple structure and good generalization properties. As well, the support vector W in the decision function can describe the weights of the recognition factors of water samples, which is very important for the analysis of headstreams of gushing water in coal mines.展开更多

RESULTS: Immunostaining reveated constant expression of CD133 in non-neoplastic and neoplastic biliary epithelium, and these cells had the immunophenotype CD133^+/CK19^+/HepPar-1. A small number of CD133^+/CK19/HepPar-1^+ cells were also identified in HCC and combined hepatocellular and cholangiocarcinoma. In addition, small ductal structures, resembling the canal of Hering, partly surrounded by hepatocytes were positive for CD133. CD133 expression was observed in three HCC (HUH7, PLC5 and HepG2) and two cholangiocarcinoma cell lines (HuCCT1 and CCKS1). Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) revealed that CD133^+ and CD133 cells derived from HuH7 and HuCCT1 cells similarly produced CD133^+ and CD133 cells during subculture. To examine the relationship between CD133^+ cells and the side population (SP) phenotype, FACS was performed using Hoechst 33342 and a monoclonal antibody against CD133. The ratios of CD133^+/CD133 cells were almost identical in the SP and non-SP in HUH7. In addition, four different cellular populations (SP/CD133^+, SP/CD133, nonP/CD133^+, and non- SP/CD133) could similarly produce CD133^+ and CD133- cells during subculture. CONCLUSION: This study revealed that CD133 could be a biliary and progenitor cell marker in vivo. However, CD133 alone is not sufficient to detect tumor-initiating cells in cell lines.展开更多

Recently, the Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Enforcement(OSMRE) in the USA, has completed a public comment period on a newly proposed rule for the protection of streams and groundwater from adverse impacts of surface and underground mining operations(80 FR 44435). With increased community and regulatory focus on mining operations and their potential to adversely affect streams and groundwater, now there is a greater need for better prediction of the possible effects mining has on both surface and subsurface bodies of water. With mining induced stress and strain within the overburden correlated to changes in the hydrogeological properties of rock and soil, this paper investigates the evaluation of the hydrogeological system within the vicinity of an underground mining operation based on strain values calculated through a surface deformation prediction model. Through accurate modeling of the pre- and post-mining hydrogeological system, industry personnel can better depict mining induced effects on surface and subsurface bodies of water aiding in the optimization of underground extraction sequences while maintaining the integrity of water resources.展开更多

We need to evaluate the risk in the lower groups of coal seams in mines. Based on a systematic collection of hydrogeological data and some data from mined working faces in these lower groups, we evaluated the factors affecting water-inrush from coal floors of the area by a method of dimensionless analysis. We obtained the order of the factors affecting water-inrush from coal floors and recalculated data on depths of destroyed floors by multiple linear regression analysis and obtained new empirical formulas. We also analyzed the water-inrush coefficient of mined working faces of the lower groups of coal seams and improved the evaluation standard of the water-inrush coefficient method. Finally, we made a comprehensive evaluation of water-inrush risks from coal floors by using the water-inrush coefficient method and a fuzzy clustering method. The evaluation results provide a solid foundation for preventing and controlling the damage caused by water of an Ordovician limestone aquifer in the lower group of coal seams in the mines of Yanzhou. It provides also important guidelines for lower groups of coal seams in other coal mines.展开更多

Nevertheless, until 1997 the scientific literature reported little information about the process of crystallization by cooling through which the commercial product is obtained. In particular, the available studies were aimed to investigate only the kinetics of nucleation and crystal growth neglecting some effective aspects of the industrial crystallization in mechanically stirred apparatus. In order to fill that sci-tech gap, the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome decided to lead a long and meticulous experimental research on the crystallization in discontinuous (batch) of CAM (citric acid monohydrate) in the allotropic form that is stable at room temperature. Due to the number of people involved in that pioneering work, carried out in the historic laboratories of"La Sapienza" (Faculty of Engineering), and motivated by the publication of related M.Sc. dissertations and research papers, such collective effort was called "School of Industrial Crystallization". Among the graduate students in Chemical Engineering that 17 years ago participated in that fruitful experience there was also the author who, under the supervision of Prof. Barbara Mazzarotta, had the specific task of assessing the effects on CAM of changing the crystallization operating conditions until their optimization; the achievements are briefly illustrated in this paper.展开更多

文摘With an increase of mining the upper limits under unconsolidated aquifers, dewatering of the bottom aquifer of the Quaternary system has become a major method to avoid water and sand inrushes. In the 8th District of the Taiping Coal Mine in south-western Shandong province, the bottom aquifer of the Quaternary system is moderate to excellent in water-yielding capacity. The base rock above the coal seam is very thin in the concealed coal field of the Carboniferous and Permian systems. Therefore, a comprehensive dewatering plan from both the ground surface and the panel was proposed to lower the groundwater level in order to ensure mining safety.According to the hydrogeologic conditions of the 8th District, we established a numerical model so that we could simulate the groundwater flow in the dewatering process. We obtained the simulation parameters from previous data using backward modeling, such as the average coefficient of permeability of 12 m/d and the elastic storage coefficient of 0.002.From the same model, we predicted the movement of groundwater and water level variables and obtained the visible effect of the dewatering project.Despite the overburden failure during mining, no water and/or sand inrush occurred because the groundwater level in the bottom aquifer was lowered to a safe water level.

文摘Ground movements due to longwall mining operations have the potential to damage the hydrological balance within as well as outside the mine permit area in the form of increased surface ponding and changes to hydrogeological properties. Through accurate modeling of the pre- and post-mining hydrogeological system, industry personnel can better depict mining induced effects on surface and subsurface bodies of water aiding in the optimization of underground extraction sequences while maintaining the integrity of water resources.

文摘Fruiting bodies(500 g per site) of Tricholoma matsutake and the surface layer of soils collected from 20 spatially distant areas with pristine backgrounds across China were analyzed for potassium, magnesium, calcium, zinc, iron, copper, manganese and cadmium using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy. In terms of the bioconcentration and bioexclusion concept,K,Mg,Zn,and Cu were highly bioconcentrated, and their bioconcentration factor values varied between 75-615,2-107,38-603 and 7-76,respectively,across the 20 sites.Fe,Mn and Cd were moderately bioconcentrated and their bioconcentration factors(BCFs) varied between 0.6-34.0,0.4-37.0 and 0.9-7.0 respectively. However,Ca was excluded(BCF<1).T.matsutake is a species that is harvested in the wild as a valuable food and can contain a wide spectrum of both essential and hazardous mineral compounds that accumulate at elevated concentrations even if grown in pristine areas. The estimated intake rate of Cd in the fruiting bodies indicates cause for concern associated with this metal resulting from the daily consumption of between 200 and 400 g of fruiting bodies on a frequent basis during the mushrooming season.

文摘Lower groups of coal seams are presently being mined from water-inrush from coal floors in order to have safe production in the Yanzhou coal mining area. It provides also important guidelines for lower groups of coal seams in other coal mines.
文摘Citric acid is an important organic substance whose marketing concerns various fields. Barbara Mazzarotta, had the specific task of assessing the effects on CAM of changing the crystallization operating conditions until their optimization; the achievements are briefly illustrated in this paper.
