The results indicate that ideal slurry with larger capacity can be prepared through serpentine channel with good cooling ability. When the serpentine channel was continuously cooled, both the longitudinal and the radial microstructure of the slurry was composed of granular primary phase and the integral microstructure uniformity of the slurry was good. However, uncooled serpentine channel can only produce larger slurry with fine grains in positions adjacent to its centre and with a large number of dendrites in positions close to its edge, thus, the radial microstructure of larger slurry is nonuniform. The pouring temperature is set up to 680 °C and the solid shell inside the channel can be avoided at this pouring temperature.展开更多

[Method] Based on nine Tianguang Yan pomegranate trees, nectar quantity and sugar con...[Objective] The aim was to research the rules of nectar quantity and sugar concentration of perfect and staminate flowers in a day. [Method] Based on nine Tianguang Yan pomegranate trees, nectar quantity and sugar concentration of per- fect and staminate flowers were measured and analyzed in morning and afternoon. [Result] Average nectar quantity and sugar concentration differed insignificantly in morning and afternoon of perfect flowers, which could also be applied to staminate flowers. However, average nectar quantity of perfect flower was 64.09 μI and of staminate flower was 44.07 μl. It is obvious that the two were of extremely signifi- cant differences (t=4.642, P〈0.01), and the former was significantly higher by 45,43%. On the other hand, average sugar concentration of perfect flower was 48.44% and of staminate flower was 37.16%. The two were of extremely significant differences and the former is higher by 30.36%, compared with the latter. These suggested that nectar quantity and sugar concentration would maintain unchanged in different periods for a day, if nectars are not consumed by pollinators, such as bees and butterflies. In the same period, nectar quantity and sugar concentration of per- fect flowers were higher than those of staminate flowers. [Conclusion] The research provides references for benefits increase of bee farmers and fruit farmers, as well as exploration of bee pollination.展开更多

Oxygenation irrigation means oxygenation in accordance with the demand of crops for oxygen for their growth. This experiment designed three treatments: mechanical oxygenation, chemical oxygenation and conventional irrigation. The mechanical oxygenation group A was divided into 6 small treatment groups and the chemical oxygenation group B was divided into 3 small treatment groups. Each treatment group had 3 replications and the average was used for analysis. Some agronomic traits of the roots and the plants of super rice were examined. The result showed that the two oxygenation treatments significantly promoted the growth of the roots and the plants. In the me- chanical oxygenation group A4, the number of filled grain per panicle was 37.6% higher than that of the conventional treatment group, and the kilo-grain weight was 7.4% higher than that of the conventional treatment group. The study results provide a theoretical basis for the application of oxygenation irrigation to super rice.展开更多
The main characters and yield of 22 new indica hybrid rice combinations were analyzed in order to sort out the common characteristics in the performance of main characters of high-yielding varieties (combinations).T...The main characters and yield of 22 new indica hybrid rice combinations were analyzed in order to sort out the common characteristics in the performance of main characters of high-yielding varieties (combinations).The results showed at the confidence level of 95%, the whole growth pedod ranged from 131.3 to 137.3 d, the effective ear number ranged from 2 495 000 to 3 179 000 ears/hm2, the plant height was in the range of 119.5-131.7 cm, the average ear length ranged from 24.6 to 27.2 cm, the spikelet number per panicle was in the range of 164.2-225.4, the seed setting percentage ranged from 69.4% to 82.3%, and the 1 000-grain weight was in the range of 26.9-31.2 g. The correlation analysis between single traits and yield of rice varieties (combinations) showed that in order to achieve high yield, the medium indica hybrid rice variety with moderate growth period, higher plant height or biological yield, larger panicle and bigger kernel should be selected. In addition, the maximum tiller number should be controlled and adjust- ed, and the spike rate should be improved to ensure sufficient effective ears in the cultivation process.展开更多
