Traditional narrative theory tends to focus on mimetic and linear narrative structures, which are insufficient for explaining the unique narrative phenomena present in postmodern and experimental texts. Richardson’s Unnatural Narrative expands the boundaries of narratology by introducing concepts such as antimimetic and nonlinear narratives. This work enhances the understanding of diverse narrative forms and provides new perspectives and tools for narrative studies, highlighting the unique contributions that unnatural narrative makes in extending existing narrative theory.展开更多
