A 499.8 MHz SOLEIL-type superconducting cavity was simulated and designed for the first time in this paper.The higher-order mode(HOM)properties of the cavity were investigated.Two kinds of coaxial HOM couplers were designed.Using 4 L-type and 4 T-type HOM couplers,the longitudinal impedance and the transverse impedances were suppressed to below 3 kΩand 30 kΩ/m,respectivly.The HOM damping requirements of Hefei Advanced Light Facility(HALF)were satisfied.This paper conducted an in-depth study on the radio frequency(RF)design,multipacting optimization,and thermal analysis of these coaxial couplers.Simulation results indicated that under operating acceleration voltage,the optimized couplers does not exhibit multiplicating or thermal breakdown phenomena.The cavity has the potential to reach a higher acceleration gradient. 展开更多

The Runge-Kutta discontinuous Galerkin finite element method (RK-DGFEM) is introduced to solve the classical resonator problem in the time domain. DGFEM uses unstructured grid discretization in the space domain and it is explicit in the time domain. Consequently it is a best mixture of FEM and finite volume method (FVM). RK-DGFEM can obtain local high-order accuracy by using high-order polynomial basis. Numerical experiments of transverse magnetic (TM) wave propagation in a 2-D resonator are performed. A high-order Lagrange polynomial basis is adopted. Numerical results agree well with analytical solution. And different order Lagrange interpolation polynomial basis impacts on simulation result accuracy are discussed. Computational results indicate that the accuracy is evidently improved when the order of interpolation basis is increased. Finally, L^2 errors of different order polynomial basis in RK-DGFEM are presented. Computational results show that L^2 error declines exponentially as the order of basis increases. 展开更多

AIM: To compare the outcomes of laparoscopic and open splenectomy and azygoportal devascularization for portal hypertension. METHODS: From June 2006 to March 2009, laparoscopic splenectomy and azygoportal disconnect... AIM: To compare the outcomes of laparoscopic and open splenectomy and azygoportal devascularization for portal hypertension. METHODS: From June 2006 to March 2009, laparoscopic splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection (LSD) were performed on 28 patients with cirrhosis, bleeding due to portal hypertension, and secondary hypersplenism. Success was achieved in 26 patients. Demographic, intraoperative, and postoperative variables of the patients were compared. RESULTS: Success of laparoscopic splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection was achieved in all but two patients (7.14%) who required open splenectomy and azygoportal devascularization (OSD). The operation time was significantly longer in patients undergoing LSD than in those undergoing OSD (235 ± 36 min vs 178 ± 47 rain, P 〈 0.05). The estimated intraoperative blood loss was much more in patients receiving OSD than in those receiving LSD (420 ± 50 mL vs 200 ± 30 mL, P 〈 0.01). The proportion of patients undergoing laparoscopic and open splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection who received transfusion of packed red blood cells during or after the operation was 23.08% and 38.46%, respectively (P 〈 0.05). The time of first oral intake was faster in patients after LSD than in those after OSD (1.5 ± 0.7 d vs 3.5 ± 1.6 d, P 〈 0.05). The hospital stay of patients after LSD was shorter than that of patients after OSD (6.5 ± 2.3 d vs 11.7 ± 4.5 d, P 〈 0.05). The pain requiring medication was less severe in patients after LSD than in those after OSD (7.69% vs 73.08%, P 〈 0.001). The overall complication rate was lower in patients after LSD than in those after OSD (19.23% vs 42.31%, P 〈 0.05).CONCLUSION: Laparoscopic splenectomy and azygoportal disconnection are the feasible, effective, and safe surgical procedure, and are advantageous over minimally invasive surgery for bleeding portal hypertension and hypersplenism. 展开更多

The Impact of the South Asia High Bimodality on the Chemical Composition of the Upper Troposphere and Lower Stratosphere 被引量:14

The South Asia High (SAH) is the dominant feature of the circulation in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere (UTLS) during the boreal summer, and the upper tropospheric anticyclonic circulation extends into the lower stratosphere. The preferred locations of the center of the SAH occur in two different regions, and the center can be located over the Iranian Plateau or over the Tibetan Plateau. This bimodality has an impact on the distribution of chemical constituents in the UTLS region. We analyzed water vapor (H20), carbon monoxide (CO), and ozone (03) data derived from the Aura Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS) and total column ozone data from the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI). For the Iranian Plateau mode of the SAH, the tropospheric tracers exhibited a positive anomaly over the Iranian Plateau and a negative anomaly over the Tibetan Plateau, whereas the stratospheric tracer exhibited a negative and a positive anomaly over the Iranian Plateau and the Tibetan Plateau, respectively. For the Tibetan Plateau mode, however, the distribution of the anomaly was the reverse of that found for the chemical species in the UTLS region. Furthermore, the locations of the extrema within the anomaly seemed to differ across chemical species. The anomaly extrema for H20 occurred in the vicinity of the SAH ridgeline, whereas CO and O3 exhibited a northward shift of 4-8 degrees. These impacts of the variation in the SAH on the chemical constitutes in the UTLS region can be attributed in part to the dynamical structure delineated by the tropopause field and the temperature field at 100 hPa. 展开更多

The only electrical parameters that need to be measured are quality factors (Q) and resonant length (L) of resonant cavity loaded and unloaded with dielectric sample. The authors have designed an optical coupler and pointed out that the key to increasing harmonic conversion efficiency is to decrease the loss of fundamental wave. In the experiments, a fundamental mode output laser was acquired. When the pumping power was 12 W, 2.6 W average output power at 1 064 nm with AO Q switch was obtained. 2.1 W average output power at 532 nm was obtained with intracavity frequency doubling, and the highest second harmonic conversion efficiency was 82 0 0. 展开更多

The structure of the South Asia High(SAH)in the stratosphere and the influence of ENSO on the SAH are systematically investigated with the long-term ECMWF reanalysis data.The results show that the SAH only exists in low levels of the stratosphere.The maximum intensity of the High is located at around 150 hPa and there is no obvious anti-cyclonic structure above 50 hPa.The axis of the SAH center tends to be northwest slanting from lower levels to higher levels.Further analyses show that the geopotential height and temperature fields of the SAH have dramatic anomalies during El Ni?o years and La Ni?a years. Objective:The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of high power focused-beam microwave hyperthermia with intrapleural injection of Shapeilin for patients with malignant hydrothorax.Methods:Fifty-eight patients with malignant hydrothorax were divided into group A and group B randomly.All patients underwent indwelling pleural catheter and were treated by intrapleural injection of Shapeilin once three days.Treatment was composed of 3 times injection.Patients of group B received high power focused-beam microwave hyperthermia after injection of Shapeilin.Results:The response rate of group B(79.3%) was higher than that of group A(48.3%)(P < 0.05).Incidence of main adverse reactions,associated with Shapeilin,of two groups including fever and thoracodynia were similar(P > 0.05).Patients of group B didn't encounter severe toxicities of microwave hyperthermia.Conclusion:High power focused-beam microwave hyperthermia combined with intrapleural injection of Shapeilin is effective and tolerable for patients with malignant hydrothorax. 展开更多

We propose a vertical cavity semiconductor emitting laser(VCSEL)using a coupled-cavity(CC)design to broaden the bandwidths of gain and delay spectra.The structure is formed by constructing a passive cavity coupled with the active cavity.By rendering the strength of the two resonant cavities,the increased gain bandwidth by 340%and the increased delay bandwidth by 800%are achieved as compared with the signal-cavity(SC)VCSEL.The wideband spectra present more square-like passband which is expected for slow light system.By using it,a 20 Gbit/s super Gaussian signal is delayed by about 13 ps with high quality. 展开更多
