This system takes advantage of a wideband and adjustable frequency domain ground penetra...We develop a high resolution ground penetrating radar system (LANRCS-GPR) based on the E5071B Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). This system takes advantage of a wideband and adjustable frequency domain ground penetrating radar system and adds the characteristics of a network analyzer with ultra-wideband and high precision measurement. It adopts the LAN mode to concatenate system control that reduces construction cost and makes the system easy to expand. The high resolution ground penetrating radar system carries out real time imaging using F-K migration with high calculation efficiency. The experiment results of the system indicate that the LANRCS-GPR system provides high resolution and precision, high signal-to-noise ratio, and great dynamic range. Furthermore, the LANRCS-GPR system is flexible and reliable to operate with easy to expand system functions. The research and development of the LANRCS-GPR provide the theoretical and experimental foundation for future frequency domain ground penetrating radar production and also can serve as an experimental platform with high data gathering precision, enormous information capability, wide application, and convenient operation for electromagnetic wave research and electromagnetic exploration.展开更多

AaSES is 59% identical to Artemisia cyclase cDNA clone cASC125, 50% identical to epi-cedrol synthase from A. annua , 48% identical to amorpha-4, 11-diene synthase from A. annua, 39% identical to the 5-epi-aristolechene synthase from tabacco, 38 % identical to vetispiradiene synthase front H. muticus, 41 % identical to the, delta-cadinene synthase from cotton. The coding region of the cDNA was inserted into a procaryotic expression vector pET-30a and overexpressed in E. coli BL21 ( DE3). The cyclase proteins extracted front bacterial culture were found largely in an insoluble protein fraction. AaSES expresses in leaves, stems a-rid flowers, not in roots as indicated by Northern blotting analysis.展开更多
It was found that the Cytoplasmic Male Sterility (CMS) line of sorghum 3197A (3A) can be induced to become fertile by heat shock treatment, whereas the maintainer line 3197B (3B) is fertile, whether it is heat shock...It was found that the Cytoplasmic Male Sterility (CMS) line of sorghum 3197A (3A) can be induced to become fertile by heat shock treatment, whereas the maintainer line 3197B (3B) is fertile, whether it is heat shocked or not. During the pollen mother cell (PMC) stage, with heat shock treatment, the 3A line changed into fertile from sterile, and five protein bands: 70kD (HSP 70 ), 31kD, 24kD, 18kD and 16kD were found. And identical bands were also appeared in 3B line with similar treatment. By comparing the amount of protein in mitochondria during ear stage of 3A sorghum, the amount of protein increased by 2.7 times, and was almost as much as that in 3B. A comparison of the heat shock proteins (HSPs) of mitochondria in 3A and 3B lines revealed that HSPs were encoded by the nuclear DNA and transported to the mitochondria. Moreover, HSPs were more heat stable in 3B than in 3A line, and this may be related to the stability of fertility in 3B line. To demonstrate the correlation between fertility and HSPs, DNA complementary to HSP 70 was injected into ears of 3A and 3B line. It is found that under normal conditions, there was no HSP 70 mRNA in 3A line, whereas after heat shock this mRNA appeared, and the antisense cDNA could combine with the target RNA of 3B either dealt with normal temperature or heat shocked. These results are discussed within the frame of fertility versus sterility in sorghum.展开更多

The proposed(GNWSF–SRC) method first combines the Gabor spatial features and nonparametric weighted spectral features to describe the hyperspectral image, and then applies the sparse representation method. Finally, the classification is obtained by analyzing the reconstruction error. We use the proposed method to process two typical hyperspectral data sets with different percentages of training samples. Theoretical analysis and simulation demonstrate that the proposed method improves the classification accuracy and Kappa coefficient compared with traditional classification methods and achieves better classification performance.展开更多

But we can use stepped frequency waveform in a narrow band coherent radar to obtain the HRR profile of a target. For moving targets which are of great importance in practical radar usage, autofocusing,i.e. phase correction, is a necessary and critical step of the synthetic HRR processing. The purpose of autofocusing is to remove the radial motion effect of the target from radar echoes, and only reserve the stepped frequency effect which is the basis of synthetic HRR capability. We investigate two autofocusing approaches for synthetic HRR radars using stepped frequency waveform in this paper. The first is motion fitting method. This method depends on a certain parametric model, and is computationally expensive. Then we propose the iterative dominant scatterer method. It is robust, non parametric and simple in computation in comparison with the motion fitting method. Experimental results based on data acquired by using a metallised scale model B 52 in a microwave anechoic chamber reveal the validity and effectiveness of the method.展开更多

The least-square (LS) method is then used to estimate impulse resoonse functions of the targets. The concept of radar range resolution probability is also introduced.It is shown from the simulation results that the new superresolution method is much efficient, and has advantages such as having a simple structure, as well as high resolution.展开更多

A novel approach is proposed to optimize the weighted HRRP. In the approach, the separability of weighted HRRPs in different targets is measured by de- signing an objective function, and the weighted coefficients are computed by using the gradient descent method, thus enhancing the influence of stable range cells. Simulation results based on five aircraft models show that the approach can effectively optimize the weighted HRRP and improve the recognition accuracy.展开更多

A frequency, as high as 46.7% of GFP gene transient expression in early proembryos, was achieved under 150 V/cm electric field strength, 25 muF capacitor, 200 mug/mL of linear plasmid DNA and an electroporation buffer at pH 7.2. Compared with five-day-old proembryos, the zygotes and early proembryos needed lower optimum strength of electric field. After culturing in KM8p medium, the electroporated early proembryos divided and GFP gene expression was observed in daughter cells and subsequent divisions. There was no mosaicism of gene expression in the zygotes and 2-, 4- and 8-celled proembryos.展开更多
Concerning the PDRA (pulse doppler radar altimeter) designing and evaluation, owing to that the specifications of PDRA should be adaptively fixed according to the ETR (earth terrain return), and that in certain stages...Concerning the PDRA (pulse doppler radar altimeter) designing and evaluation, owing to that the specifications of PDRA should be adaptively fixed according to the ETR (earth terrain return), and that in certain stages of product evaluation of PDRA which means the designations of PDRA are successful or not, the usage of ETR are indispensable, so the terrain return from spherical earth is critically important. A complete analytic derivation of the antenna shot section model of PDRA and the bright section model constrained by pulse emitted from antenna are given. Furthermore, the doppler effect mode and the earth terrain RCF (radar crossing factor) model are constructively analyzed. Then, the computing methodology on PDRA, which are used to compute the scattering power, scattering doppler spectrum, and the scattering signal, is studied. Besides, in order to check the correctness and efficiency of the algorithm, computing examples of ETR (earth terrain return) under the supposing premises are furnished. Finally, the conclusion is drawn that the models and algorithm are rational, the computational precise is satisfactory, the cost of computing time is low.展开更多

This paper proposed that transitive co-expression among genes can be used as an important attribute to link genes of the same biological pathway. The genes from the same biological pathway with similar functions are strongly correlated in expression. Moreover,the function of unknown genes can be predicted by the known genes where they are strongly correlated in expression lying on the same shortest-path from the biological pathway. Analyzing the Arabidopsis thaliana from the biological pathway,this study showed that this method can reliably reveal function of the unknown Arabidopsis thaliana genes and the approach of predicting gene function by transitiving co-expression in shortest-path is feasible and effective.展开更多
Objective: To study the expression of △Np73, an isoform of the p53 homologue p73, in the different stages of human non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and the association of△Np73 expression with in patient survival. ...Objective: To study the expression of △Np73, an isoform of the p53 homologue p73, in the different stages of human non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and the association of△Np73 expression with in patient survival. Methods: Semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to study the expression of△Np73 mRNA in 51 resected NSCLC tissues. Its relation to clinicopathological factors and survival outcome were analyzed. Results: The positive rate and expression level of△Np73 mRNA in the cancer tissues were significantly higher than that in the matched non-cancer lung tissues. The incidence of positive expression of△Np73 was 50. 0% , 52. 6% , and 87. 5% in patients with stageⅠ,Ⅱ, andⅢ, respectively. Positive expression of△Np73 was associated with pathological TNM stage (P = 0. 046), while not with age, gender, histological type and differentiation status. Survival rate of patients with high△Np73 mRNA was significantly poorer than those with low△Np73 mRNA levels (P<0. 001). Multivariate analysis revealed that△Np73 mRNA levels were a significant prognostic factor, independent of the other conventional prognostic factors. Conclusion: NSCLC has over-expression of△Np73 mRNA, which is closely related to TNM stages and prognosis of patients with NSCLC. These results suggest that measurement of△Np73 mRNA levels in tumor tissues might be useful as a promising predictor for the prognosis of patients with NSCLC.展开更多

With the sea-level rising,the measurement of sea surface height(SSH) is attracting more and more attention in the area of oceanography.Satellite radar altimeter is usually used to measure the SSH.However,deviation bet...With the sea-level rising,the measurement of sea surface height(SSH) is attracting more and more attention in the area of oceanography.Satellite radar altimeter is usually used to measure the SSH.However,deviation between the measured value and the actual one always exists.Among others,the sea state bias(SSB) is a main reason to cause the deviation.In general,one needs to estimate SSB first to correct the measured SSH.Currently,existing SSB estimation methods more or less have shortcomings,such as with many parameters,high prediction error and long training time.In this paper,we introduce an effective and efficient linear model called LASSO to the SSB estimation.The LASSO algorithm minimizes the residual sum of squares under the condition that the sum of the absolute values of each coefficient is less than a certain constant.In the implementation of LASSO,we use the significant wave height and wind speed to fit the LASSO model.Hence,the applied model has only 3 parameters,corresponding to the two inputs and a bias.Experimental results on the data of JASON-2,JASON-3,T/P and HY-2 radar altimetry show that LASSO performs better than geophysical data records(GDR) and ordinary least squares(OLS) estimator.Moreover,from the running time,we can see that LASSO is very efficient.展开更多

The effect of target motion on a range profile is thoroughly analyzed, and based on which precision re- quirement is developed for motion compensation. By studying the time domain correlation and the rule based on the least burst error, a motion compensation algorithm which satisfies the project requirement is presented, and the cyber-emulation confirms the conclusion. At last the processor is designed by using DSP devices to realize motion compensation and target recognition.展开更多

And a decision rule is established for Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) based on the mini-mum Kullback-Leibler Distance (KLD) criterion. The recognition performance of the proposed method is comparable with that of Adaptive Gaussian Classifier (AGC) with multiple test HRRPs, but the proposed method is much more computational efficient. METHODS: Twenty-four rats were randomi...AIM: To investigate the effects of sleeve gastrectomy on adipose tissue infiltration and lectin-like oxidized low density lipoprotein receptor-1 (LOX-1) expression in rat aortas. METHODS: Twenty-four rats were randomized into three groups: normal chow (control), high fat diet (HD) and high fat diet with sleeve gastrectomy (SG). After surgery, the HD and SG groups were fed a high fat diet. Animals were sacrificed and plasma high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) levels were determined. LOX-1 protein and LOX-1 mRNA expression was also measured. Aortas were stained with Nile red to visualize adipose tissue. RESULT: Body weights were higher in the HD group compared to the other groups. HDL levels in control,HD, and SG groups were 32.9 ± 6.2 mg/dL, 43.4 ± 4.0 mg/dL and 37.5 ± 4.3 mg/dL, respectively. LDL levels in control, HD, and SG groups were 31.8 ± 4.5 mg/dL, 53.3 ± 5.1 mg/dL and 40.5 ± 3.7 mg/dL, respectively. LOX-1 protein and LOX-1 mRNA expression was greater in the HD group versus the other groups. Staining for adipose tissue in aortas was greater in the HD group in comparison to the other groups. Thus, a high fat diet elevates LOX-1 protein and mRNA expression in aorta. CONCLUSION: Sleeve gastrectomy decreases plasma LDL levels, and downregulates LOX-1 protein and mRNA expression.展开更多

In the approach, the separability of weighted HRRPs in different targets is measured by de- signing an objective function, and the weighted coefficients are computed by using the gradient descent method, thus enhancing the influence of stable range cells. Simulation results based on five aircraft models show that the approach can effectively optimize the weighted HRRP and improve the recognition accuracy.
文摘Green fluorescent protein (GFP) gene was successfully transferred into the isolated zygotes and early proembryos of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) by electroporation. A frequency, as high as 46.7% of GFP gene transient expression in early proembryos, was achieved under 150 V/cm electric field strength, 25 muF capacitor, 200 mug/mL of linear plasmid DNA and an electroporation buffer at pH 7.2. Compared with five-day-old proembryos, the zygotes and early proembryos needed lower optimum strength of electric field. After culturing in KM8p medium, the electroporated early proembryos divided and GFP gene expression was observed in daughter cells and subsequent divisions. There was no mosaicism of gene expression in the zygotes and 2-, 4- and 8-celled proembryos.
文摘Concerning the PDRA (pulse doppler radar altimeter) designing and evaluation, owing to that the specifications of PDRA should be adaptively fixed according to the ETR (earth terrain return), and that in certain stages of product evaluation of PDRA which means the designations of PDRA are successful or not, the usage of ETR are indispensable, so the terrain return from spherical earth is critically important. A complete analytic derivation of the antenna shot section model of PDRA and the bright section model constrained by pulse emitted from antenna are given. Furthermore, the doppler effect mode and the earth terrain RCF (radar crossing factor) model are constructively analyzed. Then, the computing methodology on PDRA, which are used to compute the scattering power, scattering doppler spectrum, and the scattering signal, is studied. Besides, in order to check the correctness and efficiency of the algorithm, computing examples of ETR (earth terrain return) under the supposing premises are furnished. Finally, the conclusion is drawn that the models and algorithm are rational, the computational precise is satisfactory, the cost of computing time is low.

文摘The present paper predicted the function of unknow genes by analyzing the co-expression data of Arabidopsis thaliana from biological pathway based on the shortest-path algorithm. This paper proposed that transitive co-expression among genes can be used as an important attribute to link genes of the same biological pathway. The genes from the same biological pathway with similar functions are strongly correlated in expression. Moreover,the function of unknown genes can be predicted by the known genes where they are strongly correlated in expression lying on the same shortest-path from the biological pathway. Analyzing the Arabidopsis thaliana from the biological pathway,this study showed that this method can reliably reveal function of the unknown Arabidopsis thaliana genes and the approach of predicting gene function by transitiving co-expression in shortest-path is feasible and effective.
文摘Objective: To study the expression of △Np73, an isoform of the p53 homologue p73, in the different stages of human non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and the association of△Np73 expression with in patient survival. Methods: Semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to study the expression of△Np73 mRNA in 51 resected NSCLC tissues. Its relation to clinicopathological factors and survival outcome were analyzed. Results: The positive rate and expression level of△Np73 mRNA in the cancer tissues were significantly higher than that in the matched non-cancer lung tissues. The incidence of positive expression of△Np73 was 50. 0% , 52. 6% , and 87. 5% in patients with stageⅠ,Ⅱ, andⅢ, respectively. Positive expression of△Np73 was associated with pathological TNM stage (P = 0. 046), while not with age, gender, histological type and differentiation status. Survival rate of patients with high△Np73 mRNA was significantly poorer than those with low△Np73 mRNA levels (P<0. 001). Multivariate analysis revealed that△Np73 mRNA levels were a significant prognostic factor, independent of the other conventional prognostic factors. Conclusion: NSCLC has over-expression of△Np73 mRNA, which is closely related to TNM stages and prognosis of patients with NSCLC. These results suggest that measurement of△Np73 mRNA levels in tumor tissues might be useful as a promising predictor for the prognosis of patients with NSCLC.
文摘Objective.To investigate the effect of peroxis ome proliferator-activated recept ors(PPARs )activators on plasminogen activator inhibitor ty pe-1(PAI-1)expression in human umbilical vein e ndothelial cells and the possi-ble mechanism.Methods.Human umbilical vein endothelial ce lls(HUVECs )were obtained from normal fetus,and cul-tured conventionally.Then the HUVECs were exposed to test agents(linolenic acid,linoleic acid,oleic acid,stearic acid and prostaglandin J 2 respectively)in varying concentrations with fresh media.RT -PCR and ELISA were applied to determine the expression of PPARs and PAI-1in HUVECs.Results.PPARα,PPARδand PPARγmRNA were detected by using RT-PCR in HUVECs.Treatment of HUVECs with PPARαand PPARγactivators---linolenic acid,linoleic acid,oleic acid and prostaglandin J 2 respectively,but not with stearic a cid could augment PAI-I mRNA expression and protein secretion in a concentration-dependent manner.However,the mRNA expressions of 3subclasses of PPAR with their activators in HUVECs were not changed compared w ith controls.Conclusion.HUVECs express PPARs.PPARs activators may increase PAI-1expression in ECs,but the underlying mechanism remains uncle ar.Although PPARs expression was not enhanced after stimulated by their activators in ECs,the role of functionally active PPARs in regulating PA I-1expression in ECs needs to be further investigated by using transient gen e transfection assay.

文摘With the sea-level rising,the measurement of sea surface height(SSH) is attracting more and more attention in the area of oceanography.Satellite radar altimeter is usually used to measure the SSH.However,deviation between the measured value and the actual one always exists.Among others,the sea state bias(SSB) is a main reason to cause the deviation.In general,one needs to estimate SSB first to correct the measured SSH.Currently,existing SSB estimation methods more or less have shortcomings,such as with many parameters,high prediction error and long training time.In this paper,we introduce an effective and efficient linear model called LASSO to the SSB estimation.The LASSO algorithm minimizes the residual sum of squares under the condition that the sum of the absolute values of each coefficient is less than a certain constant.In the implementation of LASSO,we use the significant wave height and wind speed to fit the LASSO model.Hence,the applied model has only 3 parameters,corresponding to the two inputs and a bias.Experimental results on the data of JASON-2,JASON-3,T/P and HY-2 radar altimetry show that LASSO performs better than geophysical data records(GDR) and ordinary least squares(OLS) estimator.Moreover,from the running time,we can see that LASSO is very efficient.

文摘A discrete model is set up for High Resolution Range Profile (HRRP) of an extended target and the model of echo from an extended target for a Stepped Chirp Radar (SCR) is proposed. The effect of target motion on a range profile is thoroughly analyzed, and based on which precision re- quirement is developed for motion compensation. By studying the time domain correlation and the rule based on the least burst error, a motion compensation algorithm which satisfies the project requirement is presented, and the cyber-emulation confirms the conclusion. At last the processor is designed by using DSP devices to realize motion compensation and target recognition.

文摘To relax the target aspect sensitivity and use more statistical information of the High Range Resolution Profiles (HRRPs), in this paper, the average range profile and the variance range profile are extracted together as the feature vectors for both training data and test data representa-tion. And a decision rule is established for Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) based on the mini-mum Kullback-Leibler Distance (KLD) criterion. The recognition performance of the proposed method is comparable with that of Adaptive Gaussian Classifier (AGC) with multiple test HRRPs, but the proposed method is much more computational efficient. Experimental results based on the measured data show that the minimum KLD classifier is effective.

文摘AIM: To investigate the effects of sleeve gastrectomy on adipose tissue infiltration and lectin-like oxidized low density lipoprotein receptor-1 (LOX-1) expression in rat aortas. METHODS: Twenty-four rats were randomized into three groups: normal chow (control), high fat diet (HD) and high fat diet with sleeve gastrectomy (SG). After surgery, the HD and SG groups were fed a high fat diet. Animals were sacrificed and plasma high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) levels were determined. LOX-1 protein and LOX-1 mRNA expression was also measured. Aortas were stained with Nile red to visualize adipose tissue. RESULT: Body weights were higher in the HD group compared to the other groups. HDL levels in control,HD, and SG groups were 32.9 ± 6.2 mg/dL, 43.4 ± 4.0 mg/dL and 37.5 ± 4.3 mg/dL, respectively. LDL levels in control, HD, and SG groups were 31.8 ± 4.5 mg/dL, 53.3 ± 5.1 mg/dL and 40.5 ± 3.7 mg/dL, respectively. LOX-1 protein and LOX-1 mRNA expression was greater in the HD group versus the other groups. Staining for adipose tissue in aortas was greater in the HD group in comparison to the other groups. Thus, a high fat diet elevates LOX-1 protein and mRNA expression in aorta. CONCLUSION: Sleeve gastrectomy decreases plasma LDL levels, and downregulates LOX-1 protein and mRNA expression.
