It offers ideas such as that "Found a Lord (jun) for the people (min)", "Taking righteousness(yi) as profit (li)" and "Comply with Dao instead of one’s Lord", to demonstrate the ground of polity validity, politics for righteousness and the principles serving in the government respectively. Although the political thought of early Confucianism has its historical limits, such as being lack of political equality and short of pervasive awareness of right, it does have the demand and possibilities to turn into democratic polity. Accordingly, how to expend shi’s self-consciousness towards people, and how to transform virtue subjectivity into rights subjectivity, become the crucial theoretic question that Confucianism faces in contemporary world.展开更多
