Methods 120 cases of acute cerebral infarction were randomized into two groups, named treatment group with acupuncture and massage and control group with western medicine. Acupoint selection of treatment group with acupuncture and massage: Yōngquán (涌泉 KI1), Láogōng (劳宫 PC8), Hòuxī (后溪SI3), Gōngsūn (公孙 SP4), Fēngchī (风池 GB20), Jiānyú (肩髃 LI15), Qūchí (曲池 LI11), Hégǔ (合谷 LI4), Huántiào (环跳 GB30), Zúsānlǐ (足三里 ST36), Tàichōng (太冲 LR3), Anterior Oblique Line of Vertex-Temporal and Posterior Oblique Line of Vertex-Temporal. Massage techniques: roll for relax, hold and press, flick and fiddle, and shake. Control group with western medicine was treated with mannitol + low molecular weight dextran + CDP-choline. Results Compared with control group, treatment group could apparently improve the mobility of shoulder joint and lower the injury percentage (P〈0. 01) ; and the therapeutic effect of treatment group is better than that of control group (P〈0. 05) for treating acute cerebral infarction. Conclusion The therapy of acupuncture combined with massage could improve the function of the affected shoulder joint caused by acute cerebral infarction, and enhance therapeutic effect.展开更多

Methods Eighty cases were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 40 cases in each one. In observation group, acupuncture combined with Chinese massage was applied. The main acupoints for acupuncture were Nèixīyǎn (内膝眼 EX-LE 4), Hèdǐng (鹤顶 EX-LE 2), Dúbí (犊鼻 ST 35), etc. In Chinese massage, gun-fa (rolling), rou-fa (kneading), na-fa (grasping), ca-fa (rubbing) and passive movements of joints were applied. In control group, Fenbid was administered orally. The efficacy evaluation, JOA score and the result of isokinetic testing were compared before and after treatment in two groups. Results ① The total effective rate was 90.0% (36/40) in observation group and was 87.5% (35/40) in control group, indicating equivalent efficacy between two groups (P0.05). JOA score after treatment increased remarkably compared with that before treatment in two groups (both P0.01). ② It was indicated in isokinetic test of two groups that peak torque (PT), total work (TW) and average power (AP) after treatment were all improved in comparison with those before treatment (P0.05, P0.01) and the improvement after treatment in observation group was much more remarkable as compared with that in control group (all P0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture and Chinese massage can improve significantly in the symptoms, the muscle strength of the flexors and extensors as well as motor function of the patients with knee osteoarthritis, which is superior to that achieved with Fenbid.展开更多

Methods With a randomized, controlled and clinical method, Eighty-four full-term primiparas were divided into a Tuina group (58 cases) and a control group (26 cases). While the patients in the control group received rooming in conventional nursing, those in the Tuina group were additionally treated with Tuina, including local manipulations at the breasts combined with acupoint manipulations. The colostrum time, lactation volume and serum prolactin were observed to make the comparisons between the two groups. Results The scores of lactation quantity after the 1st, 2nd, 3rd of the treatment were 1.660±0.785, 2.530±1.030, 2.880±1.171 in the Tuina group and 1.270±0.533, 1.460±0.811, 1.500±0.583 in the control group respectively, where there were significant differences in each time stage between the two groups (all P0.001). The time of colostrum was (21.6±10.5) h in the Tuina group and (22.5±9.7) h in the control group, in which the difference was not statistically significant (P0.05). The levels of prolactin were (314.35±110.37) ng/mL and (321.56±109.61) ng/mL in the Tuina group, (385.78±85.19) ng/mL and (340.12±103.10) ng/mL in the control group before and after treatment respectively, suggested that there were no significant difference (both P0.05). Conclusion Postpartum Tuina at the breasts could increase the quantity of lactation and delay the decreasing of the levels of prolactin, which contributes primiparas to lactate more and sooner.展开更多

At present, the treatment methods at home and abroad mainly include surgical therapy and neural stem cell transplantation, acupuncture-moxibustion and tuina are mostly applied after operation, and there is rare report on non-surgical treatment before operation. In this paper, satisfactory effect has been obtained by adopting acupuncture-moxibustion and tuino for treatment of infant hirschsprung in the early stage, which provided a new idea for non-surgical treatment of infant hirschsprung in the early stage.展开更多

Conclusion Combined treatment using pediatric Tuina and an herbal mixture of Yupingfeng powder (玉屏风散) and Guizhi decoction (桂枝汤) has positive therapeutic efficacy for treatment of pediatric allergic rhinitis, and should be considered as a treatment for this condition.
文摘Objective To explore the efficacy of Tuina for postpartum lactation and work out an optimal protocol involved. Conclusion Postpartum Tuina at the breasts could increase the quantity of lactation and delay the decreasing of the levels of prolactin, which contributes primiparas to lactate more and sooner.

文摘Hirschsprung is a kind of common and severer congenital digestive tract malformation in newborns. At present, the treatment methods at home and abroad mainly include surgical therapy and neural stem cell transplantation, acupuncture-moxibustion and tuina are mostly applied after operation, and there is rare report on non-surgical treatment before operation. In this paper, satisfactory effect has been obtained by adopting acupuncture-moxibustion and tuino for treatment of infant hirschsprung in the early stage, which provided a new idea for non-surgical treatment of infant hirschsprung in the early stage.
