First, a prioritized knowledge base is obtained by weighting information weight. Then, based on the idea "abandoning the old for the new", the weight of each rule is greater than that of the information in ontologies. If ontologies conflict with general rules, then a new knowledge-base without any inconsistency or conflict is obtained by using rules with big weight updating information in ontologies with small weight. Thus, current logic programming solvers and description logic reasoners are employed to implement the reasoning services, such as querying etc. Updating based on prioritizing is more suitable for handling inconsistencies than other approaches to introducing non-standard semantics if knowledge bases are dynamically evolving. Moreover, a consistent knowledge base can be always maintained in the dynamical environment by updating outdated information with new information based on weighting. Finally, this approach to dealing with inconsistencies is feasibly exemplified.展开更多

Teachers' instructional discourse, a sub-category of teachers' discourse, is the medium that teachers use to achieve the teaching and learning goals It is not only the means for teachers to organize teaching activities, but is also taken as the model language by students. This paper examines teachers' instructional discourse by focusing on its discoursal features. Drawing on the theories and methods in discourse analysis, four categories of discoursal features in teachers' instructional discourse are proposed. They are communicativeness, authenticity, coherence, and grammaticality and appropriateness. The four discoursal features will provide a framework for analyzing teachers' instructional discourse in the language classroom展开更多

However, what requires noticing and deserves study is that, apart from the congruent expression from passive sentences, in English there also exist a variety of non-congruence within some passive sentences, namely, metaphoric uses. This paper, based on Halliday's theory about metaphor and having conducted detailed analyses on some English passive sentences, reveals a noticing phenomenon that some passive sentences are used in a style of metaphor, including transitivity metaphor, modality metaphor, and tense metaphor.展开更多

The way the factors operate on FLT can be more visibly symbolized by that the three circles come to coincide in the diagrams. In the light of the model, it seems quite reasonable for us to adopt an "eclectic" approach to FLT, due to the complexity of FLT and FLL, and to practice FLT at a tentative time ratio: 6 vs. 4; 5 vs. 5; and 4 vs. 6 for input vs. output in teaching students respectively at three different levels. With this awareness increasing, teachers can practice sensitive teaching to cater for individuals in a class more sufficiently through flexible and diversified teaching techniques, targeting different goals: form, meaning, accuracy, fluency, complexity and so on.展开更多

Our calculations are aimed in the three cases: N/In = 1, N/In 〉 1 (N-rich), and N/In 〈 1 (In-rich). Our results indicate that the antisite defect has the lowest formation energy under N/In = 1. The formation energy of nitrogen interstitial (nitrogen vacancy) defect is significantly low under the N-rich (In-rich) condition. Thus the antisite defect is an important defect if N/In = 1, and the nitrogen interstitial (nitrogen vacancy) defect is a vital defect under the N-rich (In-rich) condition. The atomic site relaxation around the nitrogen interstitial and vacancy is investigated. Our calculations show that the nitrogen vacancy cannot be observed although it is one of the most important defects in InN. Our results are confirmed by experiments.展开更多
