Heptamer of cyclic p-phenylene sulfide was isolated from poly(p-phenylene sulfide)(PPS)oligomeric slurry successfully.The cyclic structure of heptamer was characterized and confirmed by FT-IR,NMR and MALDI-TOF MS.DSC analysis indicated that heptamer could readily undergo a thermal ring-opening polymerization in the absence of any initiator,giving a polymeric material.
